President Barack Obama invited French president-elect Francois Hollande to the White House later this month, expressing hope the pair would work "closely," a spokesman said Sunday.
In a telephone call to congratulate Hollande on his election victory, Obama "indicated that he looks forward to working closely with Mr Hollande and his government on a range of shared economic and security challenges," White House spokesman Jay Carney said in a statement.
Obama and Hollande "each reaffirmed the important and enduring alliance between the people of the United States and France," the statement read.

How does this help our sociopathic socialist in chief? Everything zero does is based on political calculation. Perhaps zero will tell Hollande to cool it until November. But coming out fast and strong for the socialiste gives conservatives the chance to make the obvious connection.
Hollande’s wife is a good contrast to Wookie too. But her nickname is ‘rotweilier’ so she’ll probably get along with the old Wook.
Marylands Dems (O Malley) raised taxes on the middle class a few times and wants more, the tax increases on the rich are just the chasers to make us feel better about our taxes going up and didnt raise much of anything.
Taxes on the rich may make voters feel a little better about what they are going through but they never raise the type of revenue anywhere near what the socialists promise in spending, or even raise what is promised.
Honestly I want to see France try a 75-percent income tax , lets see how it works. I bet the voters won't be happy with the socialists either. They cant create their own money like Obama/Bernanke can.
I am pretty sure Obama will raise our taxes through a veto if he gets re-elected. Romney?? Who knows what he would do?
