I understand your sentiment, but I would point out that Down's kids and others who are developmentally disabled are often the sweetest, most trusting people on the face of this earth.

Yep, sure seems to me as well that the Military made the call on this one. Bambi was just brought in for a Photo-Opt. Maybe someone from inside the Military was going to blow the Whistle that we had Osama dead to rights, and Bambi wouldn't make the call to go get him. It forced Bambi's hand, and he eventually came along kicking and screaming. That is my tin foil hat theory at least.
