KABUL The United States has for several years been secretly releasing high-level detainees from a military prison in Afghanistan as part of negotiations with insurgent groups, a bold effort to quell violence but one that U.S. officials acknowledge poses substantial risks. ****************** But the releases are an inherent gamble: The freed detainees are often notorious fighters who would not be released under the traditional legal system for military prisoners in Afghanistan. They must promise to give up violence and U.S. officials warn them that if they are caught attacking American troops, they will be detained once again.

"Lying to the infidel is no sin"
Releasing killers to kill again.
Taqiyah... it’s mandated for muzzies.
How many American soldiers will die at the hands of these released prisoners?
It WILL happen, that is without a doubt. I just wonder if there is any way to keep track?
Hooray for us we are so .... swell
and our reward will be?
They must swear to “Cross my heart and hope to die, stick a needle in my eye”...
bold = capitulation
They must promise to give up violence and U.S. officials warn them that if they are caught attacking American troops, they will be detained once again.
After being released without negative consequence the first time I bet the thought of re-internment is just terrifying! Poor murderers! How they hate being scolded!
Everyone agrees they are guilty of what they have done and should remain in detention. Everyone agrees that these are bad guys. But the benefits outweigh the risks, said one U.S. official who, like others, has had his brain scooped out and replaced with Jello pudding, (standard procedure for officials in the Obama administration). (I had to edit the ending of this sentence so that it makes sense. I'm sure this is what the author intended.)
Socialism breeds slave mentality. Free men will fight for what is right, slaves just try to avoid punishment. These slaves are now our leaders.
Thought this was satire, but sadly our massive federal bureaucracy has spat out another policy that defies all human reason..the ‘no hitting other children, Jimmy’ as a war policy.
Hmmm, thinks the terrorist, I can say I will give up violence and they will let me go, or not renounce violence and rot here for who knows how long. When they do recapture me will they even know I have already agreed to the non-violence BS already?. Really tough decision. I renounce all violenece dumbarse, I mean kind infidel.
More like treason or a high crime and misdemeanor.
Like that is going to work. NOT!
Is a busload of them considered to be a ‘target rich environment’?
an XL IED.
Problem is, this is not accident. Its policy.
We should give them a quick trial to determine if they were “lawful combatants” under the strictest terms of the Conventions on Land Warfare. If the answer is “No,” then they go right to wall, not even back to their cell.
Monty Python could have had a field day with some of this stuff.
