Despite "significant" progress in civil rights, the nation is still struggling to "overcome injustice" and "eliminate disparities," Attorney General Eric Holder told the Detroit chapter of the NAACP on Sunday.
The attorney general also mentioned Trayvon Martin by name, as he decried the violence and crime involving young people.
"This (violence) is an issue that has -– rightly -– garnered significant national attention in recent months, as our nation has struggled to make sense of the tragic shooting death of a Florida teenager named Trayvon Martin," Holder said. "As this case moves through the legal system, Justice Department officials will continue to communicate closely with state and local authorities to ensure that community concerns are heard, tensions are alleviated, and – as with every investigation at every level – appropriate actions are guided by the facts and the law."

IMO, Holder and zero are doing their best to divide the races.

All this humanity is just so much traction gravel under their jackboots as they race for power.
You’d think that they don’t see American Negros as people with all the multifaceted dignity they deserve, rather than ponies with a few tricks.
So, apparently, Mr. Holder is the AG of only about 13% of the American people.
And how many black folk have killed black folk since Martin was shot to death by a white Hispanic?
There is an answer to this question.
Exactly, and silence on the rash of attacks on innocent citizens around the country “avenging” Martin’s death. Worst, most subversive, divisive AG ever.

I’ll 2nd that. The right leader call for the legal processes to be completed before casting judgment. The right leader would try to ease any racial tensions = these clowns do the exact opposite.
Barry and his administration seems well suited as community organizers / race baiters. Shame so many people were stupid enough to buy into this guy.
We’ll see if the judge has the stones to declare that prejudicial statements from both the president and AG make holding a fair trial impossible.
Actually, Zimmerman has a black grandmother, so he only partially qualifies as Hispanic.

What no comment on Tyrone Woodfork, another Son of Obama, who killed an elderly white couple, the husband has now died, in Tulsa recently. What an absolute disgrace Holder is!
I guess if you’re a left wing racist like Eric Holder, you can’t “make sense” of a case which is pending before the court and which you know is unresolved.
It is TOTALLY inappropriate for Holder to refer to this case as some example of racial issues when it is pending before the court and he knows fully well the issue of race in the case was not charged and is completely unproven.
I recall about 40 years ago, Nixon was criticized for making a reference to the Charles Manson killings, because it could be argued to prejudice the proceedings.
Did Holder also mention all the black kids getting shot by one another? A mom and little child were just hit in a crossfire last night in Philadelphia.
Yeah, too bad Holder himself isn't "guided by the facts and the law." He ran guns to Mexico on purpose, and now won't send Congress the documentation on the case. Entire BOOKS of documents have pages fully blacked out. He has only given Congress a TENTH of what they asked for.
"Guided by the law," indeed. How about you start obeying it, Holder, you communist?
Withholder talking to HIS PEOPLE about how to keep playing the same broken record entitled ‘I’m a VICTIM and SO ARE YOU’. Nothing will change for HIS PEOPLE until they start to change their attitude and take responsibility for their own actions instead of blaming WHITIE.
