Chrysler Group is recalling some 127,350 current model Dodge Charger and Chrysler 300 vehicles in the United States and Canada due to potential problems in electrical stability control and anti-lock braking systems, the company and U.S. safety regulators said.
Chrysler, majority owned by Fiat SpA , said it was not aware of any crashes, injuries or fires due to the issue.
The recall affects cars from the 2011-2012 model years and produced through December 20, 2011, according to a company filing with the U.S. National Highway Traffic Safety Administration.

I drive a Nissan SUV, my wife a Hyundai Elantra. We refuse to buy GM or Chrysler. No one ever bailed us out, why should we honor their bailouts? Ford? The Hyundai was a better buy.

My last Ford was a 76 Mercury Marqui.

We were stockholders in GM (part of our kids’ college fund) who saw our investment get wiped out while the unions illegally got protected. I will never buy a GM or Chrysler car, or any of my relatives. I drive a Honda Fit.

I had a Marquis, it was about an ‘78 or ‘79. Loved it. But not as much as my Nissan. And that Hyundai is getting my wife 38 mpg combined.

Watching those Chrysler ads - you really have to wonder if there really are that many guys who believe buying a ‘pen!s-mobile’ will cover up for their lack of testosterone (or their small ‘instruments’). Any wonder why the Ford F-150 has been the best selling truck in the US for over three decades?
We have a Mercury Mariner Hybrid 4x4 and an Explorer 4x4 as well. Very serviceable vehicles. My son is extracting that last bits of life from the 1994 Saturn SL2. That will be our last ever GM vehicle.

I have always loved Mopars, and I own a ‘96 Ram, but never again. The build quality is not worth the price. Every one I’ve rented the past few years has been a POS. We had to rent a minivan a couple years ago, a brand-new Chrysler Town and Country with 800 miles on it—probably a $30,000 car—and the interior fit and finish was honestly worse than my beat-to-hell Ram pickup with 190,000 miles on it.
Forget them. We bought a 2010 Mazda 5 from Carmax three months ago and absolutely love it.

It had a mechanical quality and durability that virtually screamed "mid-1970's Detroit", and believe me: my dad screamed a lot when talking about that car, or rather to the mechanic when he was informed that the leather-clad and tinted-glass-adorned beast he was still making payments on had...
just eaten another friggin' water pump or fried another solenoid or set of distributor rotors or how the head gasket was leaking (again), or how the leaf springs had rotted halfway through or the rocker panels had to be replaced because the doors didn't shed water properly 'cause the holes were improperly drilled and rust had blossomed there, too, or that the reason a car with only 55,000 miles on it needed so much oil was that the oil pump leaked too (just like the radiator!), finally leading my old man to offer that if he ever saw Ricardo Montalban in person, he'd deck him for ever endorsing such an unmitigated piece of crap.
Ah, yes, the '76 Cordoba. I've still got the hood ornament. Really. My father tore it off the car and mounted it on a piece of marble and went and grabbed his Dymo label maker and tapped out a black adhesive label that said "Schmuck", which he silently affixed to his new little statute and placed it on his work bench where it remained till the day he died, as a reminder never again to be suckered into buying a Chrysler product.

Gubmint Motor from a real 3rd world dictate will not make the recall announcement - tough luck for those peons dumb enough to buy their products. Sort of a population control anyway.
If the bad news leaks out, trust “the Gubmint will take care of it”, you peasants go back to your own life. If it doesn’t work, then ‘you got a real nice home there, would be a shame sumting happens to it.....’
I think my 2003 Dakota is the last Chrysler product I will ever buy.
