WASHINGTON (AP) — Rick Santorum is endorsing his one-time bitter rival Mitt Romney in a late-night e-mail to his supporters.

Santorum on Monday urged his supporters to join him in working with the effective Republican nominee to deny President Barack Obama a second term.

And so, the sellout of conservatism is complete for another four years. Unfortunate, but hardly surprising.

But hey, we can all get excited about who the show pony conservative VP nominee will be, right?

Hello? McFly?

I think there is going to be a huge “Expose 0bama for what he is” effort.

Oh without a doubt. However Soros has already funded and will further fund many of the organizations supporting Obama. Just recently funding the "America Votes" who are partnered with many others in order to fight in the state courts across the nation....their tentacles are wide.

I do visit their sites to see what they are up to for the press doesn't reveal their plans. It's good to know what your enemy is doing.

You’re exactly right.

0bama can’t win without voter fraud.

Soros company in Spain counting our votes is absolutely unacceptable.

Do you really have to make this thread an anti-LDS thing?

I was for Sarah Palin, Herman Cain, Rick Santorum, and then Newt. Voted here in Idaho for Rick.

It's sad that Romney has become our nominee with his past record. But he has (or soon will be) the GOP nominee and the issues he is running on are clearly spelled out on on his site, and they are a far cry from his earlier days, and far far better than Obama.

As to religion, if you must make it about that, for those who want to know what a long time convert to the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints believes, who has been bombarded by all the anti-LDS material since considering joining and since doing so, read this:

My Witness for Jesus Christ

Well they don't actually "count" the votes. These will still be done at the precinct's, but these will be sent to Soros's company and I can sure see many "lost" votes between here and there...like In Iowa during the Primary.

Either way Obama intends to win this by whatever means possible, and he's going to have to do it by other means than his record for obvious reasons.

We knew this was going to happen, the Newt supporters blindly rationalize and accept that Newt endorsed Romney, but, ohhh no, it’s the crime of the century if Rick Santorum does so, their hypocrisy knows no bounds.

Well, shoot.

Wish I’d heard about this before I voted this morning.

I voted for Santorum because I was under the impression that he was the only sane non-Romney who had NOT yet endorsed Romney.

If I’d seen this before voting, I’d have broke down and voted for Ron Paul.

Well, actually, after spending two months stumping for Newt, I voted for Santorum this morning - because I hadn't heard about his endorsement (not being on the RS mailing, apparently). If I'd heard about it before voting, I would have gone Ron Paul.

The way he did this is about the stupidest thing I’ve ever seen for a politician.

Once it becomes apparent that you lost and there are no other options on the table, the smart thing is to either endorse immediately or declare immediately that you’re sitting it out.

By delaying, he has managed to look indecisive and to piss off everyone. I knew there was a reason I never liked that wimp.

I voted for Ron Paul in the primary BTW - so shove it with your insults and go back to cheerleading 4 more years of obama.

Obama MUST BE DEFEATED, or we won’t recognize the U.S.A. in 4 years.

It’s heart breaking that Romney is the nominee, but there are future elections, and we need to slow down the bleeding until then

Exactly!

Well if the Senate gets more conservatives, then at least, with the House, they can put MItt’s feet to the fire.

I hear this argument thrown around a lot. Is there really good historic precedence for this idea? Is there a time that a conservative congress held a moderate president's feet to the fire?

Using George W. Bush as the most recent example the theory seems to be pretty weak. The Republicans under bush spent like drunken sailors as well as passing the Patriot Act and making our airports “safer.”

P.S Just asking an honest question. I'm not trying to institute any truce-breaking violence.

I'd also say that something is fishy about these delayed endorsements. I suppose they have been haggling over the price.
