I wouldn't know where to begin just deconstructing this single sentence. First I really doubt the schools are "cash strapped", how about firing all those bureaucrats and administrators, cutting back on School board trips and stuff. Cut non-essential funding from the budget like the condom budget and cut non-essential core curriculum too. No more history of the labor movement and pro-gay sex ed.
These people will have schools controlling kids eating habits at home soon.
Attempts to control eating have been ongoing ever since I can remember.
Candy and other sweets taste good. Kids want to eat them. By preventing kids from eating them, the kids both feel deprived and get the idea that sweets must be really special. Perhaps the kids don’t have much ability to obtain sweets when they’re little, but when they are teens or adults and have more control over which foods they eat, they’re going to go for the tasty treats they were deprived of as children. Plus, they’ll binge on those treats, since they were never taught to eat treats in moderation.
I’ve seen this happen in my own family... true, it’s anecdotal evidence, but I think it bears formal studying.
I wonder how much food naziism contributes to the current obesity “epidemic”.
Who do these Massachusidiots vote for?
