Obama's Second Term Transformation Plans
American Thinker ^ | May 8, 2012 | Steve McCann

The 2012 election has often been described as the most pivotal since 1860. This statement is not hyperbole. If Barack Obama is re-elected the United States will never be the same, nor will it be able to re-capture its once lofty status as the most dominant nation in the history of mankind.

The overwhelming majority of Americans do not understand that Obama's first term was dedicated to putting in place executive power to enable him and the administration to fulfill the campaign promise of "transforming America" in his second term regardless of which political party controls Congress. That is why his re-election team is virtually ignoring the plight of incumbent or prospective Democratic Party office holders.

The most significant accomplishment of Obama's first term is to make Congress irrelevant. Under the myopic and blindly loyal leadership of Harry Reid and Nancy Pelosi, the Democrats have succeeded in creating an imperial and, in a second term, a potential dictatorial presidency.

During the first two years of the Obama administration when the Democrats overwhelming controlled both Houses of Congress and the media was in an Obama worshipping stupor, a myriad of laws were passed and actions taken which transferred virtually unlimited power to the executive branch.

The birth of multi-thousand page laws was not an aberration. This tactic was adopted so the bureaucracy controlled by Obama appointees would have sole discretion in interpreting vaguely written laws and enforcing thousands of pages of regulations they and not Congress would subsequently write.

For example, in the 2,700 pages of ObamaCare there are more than 2,500 references to the Secretary of Health and Human Services. There are more than 700 instances when he or she is instructed that they "shall" do something and more than 200 times when they "may" take at their sole ...

“By contrast there’s no question Obama *does* hold strong communist beliefs. Surrounds himself with committed communists - and is beholden to America’s adversaries.

None of which. NONE. Apply to Mitt Romney.”

Then explain his passing of RomneyCare, a massive COMMUNIST plan which also became the basis for ObamaCare!

“And God help the rest of us who will pay the price for your search for the perfect candidate.”

Back at ya! God help the rest of us who will pay the price for your vote along party lines even though your party candidate is a massive Communist with a record every bit as bad as Obama’s!

The 2012 election has often been described as the most pivotal since 1860.

I'm worried that this is an understatement and that the 2012 election will be the single pivotal election credited with transforming America into a nightmare. When I imagine the resources of the United States at the disposal of a socialist tyranny, I cringe. I just pray that we can avoid that outcome - I just wish I knew how.

Romney may not hold strong communist beliefs. Or he may indeed, and may have been hiding them while governor of MA, simply because so many of the state’s voters are old style democrats.
By contrast there’s no question Obama *does* hold strong communist beliefs. Surrounds himself with committed communists - and is beholden to America’s adversaries.

Romney and Obama will happily skip hand in hand into that socialist utopia they desire subjecting us to.

Sen. Lugar is running ads in Indiana to scare the voters into supporting him because Mourdock will take away their social security.

This article and others like it are being written to scare people into voting for another establishment candidate, Romney. I’m not falling for it.

And God help the rest of us who will pay the price for your search for the perfect candidate.

Have you even studied Romney's actual record in MASS? Mitt worships at the Alter of State Power.

Do you honest believe that Mitt will do ANYTHING to turn our Republic towards Liberty? I will tell you NO!

The Feds have hired over 260,000 (at last count) people who's sole job is to implement Obamacare. Does anyone ask Mitt if he would seek their dismissal? No, because come H*ell or high water, Mitt will find some way to "fix" Obamacare.

We are not looking for the "perfect" candidate. But it would help if our side didn't have a rabid Statist as a candidate.

The people who are fools are the ones that think voting for Mitt will make a difference. Sorry, but the end-game with Mitt is exactly the end-game with Obama.

They both live and breath to increase the Power of the State over the Individual.

"I would crawl across broken glass to vote against Obama! "

I'm with you on that one.

There are those who subscribe to "principle over party", and that is great, and patriotic. However, the dems are ALWAYS "PARTY over principle", and that is why America is in the mess it's in now. If they dems stick to "party over principle" then they will continue to be the party in power. A lot of good that will do conservatives, or America.

There is no doubt that Romney is a RINO, but I'm not sure he is loaded with the octane of audacity and the desire to take America down, that fuels obama. He certainly doesn't have the "protection" of RACE to hide behind if he gets out of hand.

I've watched Romney and he has a bit of "weasel" in him, and when he's put on the spot - as in some of the debates - he's like the cowboy who jumped on his horse and rode off in all directions. On that basis I would hope that the inevitable scrutiny of the liberal media, and the conservatives in his own party, that he would not be nearly as daring, or evil, as obama.

Now that everyone, except Romney, and Ron Paul, is out of the running, we'll all do a lot of soul-searching when election time rolls around. Maybe if he selects a real conservative as VP it might sweeten the pot, I don't know.

But when I think of Romney being president, I might say, "oh crap"...but the very notion of giving obama four more years of finishing off America makes me say, OH Sh!+".

If we have to vote for Romney as a just a "place holder" to stop the slide into the abyss until we can get a real conservative in 2016, then maybe we should at least consider it.

But I sincerely believe that after four more years of obama, America will not exist. The "Rich" that he is after so fervently will flee the country, taking their riches and the jobs those riches could create with them.

America - from coast to coast - will resemble Detroit...a vast wasteland, crumbling to the core, only for the Chinese to eventually move in and claim the whole thing.

I see this election not so much about likes and dislikes, but base it on logic and freedom. It will be a modern version of the Revolutionary War...we have to defeat obama like the forefathers pushed out the Brits, or we don't have a country.

I still hold out for the far-off possiblility of something good happening, like a "brokered convention", but it could bring something even worse...like Ron Paul.

I was a supporter of Newt, but Newt has sunk, and the life preserver that is left to us is one full of RINO holes, but again, is it a weasel RINO, or a rabid, Marxist, America hater?

It seems that out of all of the candidates we started with, we could have ended up with better than what we have now. But, that is yesterday's news now, and we need to focus on "tomorrow"...for the sake of our children and grandchildren.

Obama is going to be CHEATING...BIG TIME. By hook-or-crook he's going to do whatever it takes, however evil or illegal it is to maintain his power. He is on the precipice of becoming America's first dictator", birth certificate be damned.

I'm not a RomneyBot, but I am an AmericaBot. We need a temporary bridge, even if it is a "bridge to nowhere"...or we'll sink as sure and as deep as the Titanic.

You said “given to power brokers”. And you hit the nail on the head. Republicans and half of this country who still worship obama GAVE him his power.

If Obama loses, the first thing he’ll do is GET THE PAPER SHREDDERS OPERATING 24/7. It will probably be Eric Holder’s full time job!

In case there are still any leftover vestiges of life forms who cannot discern the difference between Romney and obama, they should be required to reads this, at gunpoint if necessary. If they still don't get it, well, suicide remains an option.

Unlike the SS, I’d bet dollars to donuts, you can’t prove anything in the article to be wrong.

Again, I’m no fan of Romney, but if you honestly think that Romney is just as bad as Obama, then there’s no sense in arguing with you, but I’ll say my peace anyway...

Romney may be a pathetic RINO, but he seems to be a decent American who loves his country. On the other hand, Obama was raised by various America-hating scum, and welcomes seeing this country being humbled economically, politically, and militarily.

At the very least, Romney understands what it means to be an American, unlike Obama.

Did Romney spend his formative years in Indonesia, wearing a sarong and eating dog meat? Was Romney’s father American, or Kenyan? Did Romney’s wife say that she could finally be proud of the USA now that her husband was nominated by his party to be their presidential candidate? Did Romney spend 20 years listening to a pastor who said “Not God Bless America, god d**n America!”? Has Romney bowed to every foreign leader he ever met, and gone on a world-wide apology tour? Has Romney associated with known terrorists to begin and maintain his political career? Has Romney had a real job and made his own money, or has he spent his whole life in make-work jobs provided by his political sponsors? Has Romney established a record of achievement, or has he breezed thru life with a big assist from Affirmative Action? Finally, has Romney been vetted, or is his past a mystery like Obama?

No sir, unless a proven Manchurian candidate comes along, NO ONE COULD POSSIBLY BE WORSE THAN OBAMA.

Thank you for posting an important article that should be going to everyone who is worried about our future, whether they supported Romney ion the primaries or not.

Our mission must be to:
1. Get Romney elected
2. Steer him down the right path.

Our job isn't finished with our vote. We have to believe that this republic was built for the people to control. Barack Obama is in office because of us. He can be removed by us.
