WASHINGTON (AP) President Barack Obama's campaign says he's "disappointed" with North Carolina's constitutional amendment banning gay marriage.
Obama campaign spokesman Cameron French said in a Tuesday statement that the ban on same-sex unions is "divisive and discriminatory." French says same-sex couples deserve the same rights and legal protections as straight couples.
North Carolinians overwhelming voted Tuesday to amend their state constitution, strengthening a state law that already outlawed same-sex unions.

Deal with it Barry!
The fudgepackers will just have put stay put in the northeast and pay high taxes there. Now we need more anti-Sharia legislation and the gays and muzzies will have screw each other in the blue states.
Hmmm...Maybe two or three sarongs. Skinny dude doesn’t need a lot of fabric. :)
What’s a Marxist to do?
If they are dissapointed that perversion is not the choice of the NC electorate, then just how twisted are they?
In knots, I hope.
If he wants to marry another man I advise him to move to a state that allows it.
If pervertage (homosexual marriage) were “natural”, the epithelium of the terminal colon would be the more durable stratified squamous instead of the more friable simple columnar variety.
Actually a better suited location would be Kansas.
Specifically Ft Leavenworth, Federal Penitentiary.
Where most of them belong.....
The people of NC are just not as smart as Barack considers himself.
GOPe told us that no one cares about conservative social issues anymore. Were they lyin’ again? They better be careful...
“French says same-sex couples deserve the same rights and legal protections as straight couples. “
Well, this amendment insures that same-sex couples DO have the same rights as straight couples. Straight couples may only marry members of the opposite gender. For gays to marry someone of the same gender would require a *different* right than what straight couples have. Why is that so difficult to understand?
In other words, gays *don’t* want the same rights. They want special rights.
Real estate values just shot up in NC.
Oh, I hope Holder has them in his sights. That`ll sell well with the NC voters and those in VA just north.
So this is a measure of how much Obama`s views on queer “marriage” have “evolved,” I guess.
Sorry, Barky.. not every state wants to be like those liberal cauldrons of social “change” in the NE.
As my son says, “It’s an exit.”
NC is fairly ‘disappointed’ with Obama, too. Whaddya know?
