By now you must know in your heart that your pick of Sarah Palin was a great act, but was being undermined from the beginning by the Bush Family operatives who were assigned by the party to operate your campaign for their own Family's fortunes.
These guys were behind the vile attacks on your adopted daughter Bridget in 2000, and they have been behind much of the fratricide within the GOP over the past 35 years or so.
To think that Sarah Palin was being set up by these pricks back in 2008 when the country's future was in peril, and that they apparently did everything they could to throw the election to Obama in order to destroy a future opponent of Jeb is an act of national betrayal.
To think that they have targeted a good woman, who you identified as a kindred spirit in the fight for all that is right in this country is equally appalling.
Sarah stood by you in the spring of 2010 unhesitatingly, and I'm sure that she'd do so again. She did this without concern for her own political fortunes, indeed many conservatives were hoping she would back JD Hayworth against you.
You know the truth about who she is, and who her enemies within the GOP are.
It is great that you have expressed gratitude and support for her recently. I hope you will call out those who have done harm to her name by publicly identifying them.
Do it for the country, Sir!

If I want to write to Governor Palin it will simply be to express my admiration and respect.
If I want to write to John McCain it will simply be to express my disdain and personal opinion that he is a disgrace to his POW and RVN brothers.
With the likes of Obama, Romney, Holder, and Ron Paul actively involved in screwing up my life I cannot see any valid point in assaulting "Bush Family operatives" at this particular time.
On the other hand, if this was merely a celebration of your one year anniversary on FR, good for you.

I would like to see Sarah Palin do this if she has such a problem with how she was treated by certain people.
If she has a problem with John McCain, she should say so. If she has such a big problem with others (including Rick Perry, Nikki Haley, etc), she should get it out. If not, let's move on.
If for her it is "bye-gones are bye-gones," then why don't we focus on the upcoming elections?
I would not urinate on John McCain if he were on fire, and I would, therefore, certainly not be hypocritical enough to seek his assistance in any matter.
