Quietly, respectfully, but firmly, the people of North Carolina affirmed through a Constitutional Amendment that they wished to maintain the traditional institution of marriage between one man and one woman.

I’m pleased and heartened. We have started on the long road to take our country back, in a spirit of love and dignity.

I'm not laughing at the Felon winning 41% in West Virginia over Obama. In South Carolina 2010, Jim DeMint easily defeated an unknown challenger for the Senate named Alvin Greene ( an unemployed veteran who lives with his father ).

The surprise was not that Greene lost. The surprise was he got nearly 30% of the vote !! Which only proves that South Carolina is in sad shape when a person with a borderline personality disorder can run for office and receive that much support at the polls.

This is pretty funny. Romney almost surely would have lost the West Virginia primary (judging by the closeness of neighboring Ohio) had he been running against any credible opposition.

Still, Mitt won by 10 points better than BO, who had no credible opposition.

Bottom line: While Romney may generate little voter enthusiasm, BO generates downright visceral hostility.

What I love about this is watching the gays and their supporters have apoplexy. The meltdown on Fox News’ Facebook page is downright hilarious.

Lesbians in bras and jeans marched through the downtown streets of Asheville, NC, in the wee hours of this morning chanting: “We're here, we're queer, and we're not going anywhere.”

Classy.

........Walker’s opponent got less than 20,000 votes.....

These were likely disgruntled Freepers voicing protest to some sanctimonious trivial issue

the DNC will rule that Judd’s ineligibility as a convict will allow them to strip him of whatever delegates he does win

Ineligibility is as ineligibility does. Since when does the DNC care about whether or not their candidate is eligible?

North Carolina has become the 31st state to add an amendment on marriage to its constitution, with voters banning same-sex marriage and barring legal recognition of unmarried couples by state and local governments.

I do not see how that amendment bars legal recognition of unmarried couples. All they have to do is enter into a lrgal contract. The same goes for civil unions between same sex couples. Read the text and see if you disagree:

Marriage between one man and one woman is the only domestic legal union that shall be valid or recognized in this State. This section does not prohibit a private party from entering into contracts with another private party; nor does this section prohibit courts from adjudicating the rights of private parties pursuant to such contracts.

That Keith Judd story is the greatest thing I’ve seen since an insane homeless guy racked up 27,000 votes in a Pennsylvania Democrat primary against long-time lefty Congressman Bill Coyne.

The article states that Judd came within 20 pts of winning. That’s not true. He lost by 20. He came within TEN of winning.

This is just one of many examples showing the complete failure (or if you are a communist the complete success) of our public schools in teaching the true meaning and history of this country’s founding documents and especially the Federalist Papers (our Owners Manual for the Constitution).

To have such a high percentage of people constantly voting against everything the Founders intended this country to be can only be explained a few ways.

First unfortunately there will always be people of extreme low IQs. They are usually known as democrats.

Second, public schools, teachers unions, communist infested institutions of higher learning nudging young minds towards Progressive views.

Third, a willing media (brainwashed by those listed in “Second”)) making sure that the failures of Progressive crapola are minimized and the occasional failure of the Founders views are greatly exaggerated. In reality, when the path the Founder set us upon fails it has been because we left the path.

Is West Virginia an open primary state or did 40% of the Democrat voters vote for inmate Judd?

I posted a similar observation about WI last night, but a bit less gassy than the Ed Morrissey version. In a nutshell:

Nearly as many Republicans turned out to vote for Gov. Walker in a primary where it didn’t matter as Democrats in what was touted as a fight for their very existence.

Kathleen Falk was handed a humiliating defeat in her own - the most liberal county in the state - despite being the chosen candidate of the Unions.

Why didn’t the gay marriage amendment vote wait until November? It will be very helpful for ABO.
