I don’t think Obummer expected the backlash that is to come. Everyone I know in my town is outraged. Never in our wildest nightmares would any of us have imagined a sitting President would endorse and promote artificial sodomite marriages - something considered vomitous throughout all history and throughout all cultures. These sick homosexual perverts are going to now see a nation rise up against their celebration of sin.

President Obama today announced that he now supports same-sex marriage, reversing his longstanding opposition amid growing pressure

We've always known he was faggot. Did he finally meet someone he wants to settle down with?

He’s counting on Romney and the GOP to fumble the issue. Romney is not going to make it a major feature of his campaign. He’ll respond with the “I’m personally opposed” line if asked, but won’t hold Obama’s feet to the fire. The media will turn this into a “homophobia” circus, dragging out inflammatory statements from any registered Republican they can find and then putting Romney on the spot as to whether he thinks the comments are appropriate. Because Romney won’t argue the issue on the basis of core values, he will let the media and Obama define the issue. As happened in Canada (where the Conservative Party soft-pedalled its opposition), the failure to seize such an important issue will cost Romney votes on both sides. Those conservatives who want this to be a major campaign issue will scream in frustration at the GOP’s ineptitude and will have yet another reason to stay home in November.

Three reasons (among others) he is doing this:

1) Saul Alinsky tactic, divide Americans
2) He believes in it
3) When he gets thrown out of office, it will allow liberal historians to say he was rejected because of America’s homophobia, not because of his horrible record

Reason #2: Obama Denies the Authority of the Bible

Obamba should have read the Bible instead of rules for radicals.

I just had a thought- what if this is like Dems view on abortion: they have a “personal” view, but it makes no difference, they support through legislation the opposite. Did he actually say he will make sure it is legal throughout the land? What if this is just a trick- what if this is just his “personal” belief, but he will take no action to support it?

he was pushed into this by Hollywood and rich left wing donors so now let him suffer through this because the blacks and Hispanics I’ve spoken too have said nearly 99% that they will not vote for him and most will say he’s been a disappointment then the Hispanics have said that if Romney picks like the NM Gov or Rubio or another Hispanic background then they will vote for Romney and the marriage question has done it for them nd for obama.

I want FOX and others to state to these left wing nuts and homosexuals that when they say equality then they must also mean polygamists as equality cannot just go for their kind of marriage but every kind of marriage.

Obama needs to be asked that question too and thank you Hollywood and you left wing radicals. I thought there was no way to win this election but now you nut jobs have only fired up the right, put this issue into the minority communities.

not true around here.

I have kids and they all say there is not one friend of theirs which supports the homo agenda.

The myth about younger and more people support homosexuals is a lie put out by the elitist media and Hollywood.
Of course maybe up in the north east and the west coast that is probably different

I really have a hard time figuring out why you keep pushing this crap. Romney has never been for gay marriage, either at the time of the court ruling or today. He has made it very clear that he believes marriage is between a man and a woman, a clear difference between him and Obama.

I don't expect Romney will "evolve" and support gay marriage before or after the election.

What do I think of traditional marriage?

Just yesterday...the same day that Barry the Evil made his disgusting announcement...my wife and I celebrated 14 years of marriage.

Don’t need to say anything more than that.

It will be a major campaign issue because the Dems and the MSM want it to be. Obama believes it is a winner politically, not only among gays but among young people. Polls clearly show that the younger generation is far more receptive to gay marriage than the rest of the population. Obama needed to do something to increase the flagging support he has been receiving from the young, especially the colleges. He needs a big turnout. And he needs to change the focal point of his campaign away from the economy and jobs, the number one issues for voters.

As long as the Reps make the election a referendum on Obama and his policies, the Reps will win. The GOP would be stupid to make gay marriage or any other social issue a centerpiece of its campaign. The people now know where Obama stands on this issue along with a number of other issues. He is painting himself in a corner that will make him look more and more extreme--out of touch with the American people.

Obama is becoming more radical because he is more desperate. I am sure his internal polls are showing a giant disaster looming. Many Dem candidates don't want to be seen with him and will be distancing themselves from him on the campaign trail. Let's see how many Dem incumbents start supporting gay marriage on the stump.

If you put any credence in any of the polls, that is simply not the case, anecdotal stories notwithstanding. Practically every college and most high schools have gay rights groups. Our education system has been indoctrinating the kids from kindergarten on up for decades, e.g., “Heather has two Mommies” TV has made it acceptable and normal.

>> Obama has thought about gay marriage for a couple years <<

Not entirely correct. He said he was FOR IT way back in 1996, when he was running for the Illinois Senate.

Unlike what is stated in your quote, the Mass Court did not legalize gay marriage. All their decision did was order the Mass legislature to change the law on the books that prohibited gays from marrying.

Incorrect. The Mass Supremer Court did indeed legalize gay marriage. But "in deference to the legislature" (LOL) they gave them 180 days to change their laws to comply with the Supreme Court decision.

Here's the bottom line from the majority opinion.

In their complaint the plaintiffs request only a declaration that their exclusion and the exclusion of other qualified same-sex couples from access to civil marriage violates Massachusetts law. We declare that barring an individual from the protections, benefits, and obligations of civil marriage solely because that person would marry a person of the same sex violates the Massachusetts Constitution. We vacate the summary judgment for the department. We remand this case to the Superior Court for entry of judgment consistent with this opinion. Entry of judgment shall be stayed for 180 days to permit the Legislature to take such action as it may deem appropriate in light of this opinion."

Only a truly ignorant society could consider reverting back to ancient barbarism “progressive”.

Secession: Somehow I don’t see the limp-wristed urbanites putting up much of a fight this time.

"Sleeper factor may be blacks strongly opposed affecting their turnout a bit. Not sure how all this breaks down in battleground states."

It depresses black church vote to some degree, and it polarizes evangelicals into ABO to some degree. Added up, it eliminates the South from Bobo's electoral map and it opens up the Rust Belt for Mittens. And Bobo literally cannot afford to play defense all fall in WI, MI, PA. Lose just one of those states and he has no path to victory.

>> Drudge is in the closet <<

If so, it’s a closet with a see-thru glass door. It has been widely known for years that Drudge prefers boys to girls. No less than Ann Coulter has said so on TV.

(I think the latter event was when a caller to CSPAN asked her why she and Drudge weren’t a number.)
