President Obama on Wednesday endorsed same-sex marriages, becoming the first sitting U.S. president to take that position following days of speculation about his "evolving" stance on the issue.
The president used a hastily called TV interview to make his position clear.
"At a certain point, I've just concluded that for me personally, it is important for me to go ahead and affirm that I think same-sex couples should be able to get married," Obama told ABC News.
The president, who was previously opposed to the unions, explained that he's gone through an "evolution." Obama said he initially thought civil unions would suffice as a vehicle to give same-sex couples the rights commensurate with those of heterosexual couples. "I'd hesitated on gay marriage in part because I thought civil unions would be sufficient," he said.

We should not be surprised at this. He has always been a liberal and he always will be a liberal and his beliefs will always fall on that side of an issue. But on the bright side, this gives the republicans some ammo for campaign ads.

As a leftist, Obammie the Commie seeks to destroy America. He will use any tool and any agenda item to succeed at that. The left is the one who introduced the anti-establishment agenda items in American politics? Why? The communists and socialists knew they could not conquer America, that America had to collapse under its own weight (both economic and cultural) from having rotted within. Thus they launched a massive culture war in order to destroy all of our traditional, Judeo-Christian values.
This is just another tool in Obammie the Commie’s war chest, just another play in rotting America from within, another tool to pit one group of Americans against another.
Liberals are just stupid, blind dupes in this battle. Those who are aware of what is at stake and support this culture war are not liberals, they are leftists.
