Democrats’ Support for Holder Collapsing

Cracks have started to appear in the wholehearted Democratic support for embattled Attorney General Eric Holder as he faces possible contempt hearings for refusing to hand over papers relating to the Fast and Furious gun-running scandal.

Three House Democrats and one Senate candidate have added their voices to the growing clamor for Holder and his Justice Department to come clean on the scheme that allowed thousands of guns to fall into the hands of violent Mexican drug cartels.

The move comes the day before congressmen will be given the opportunity to vent on their feelings in the case in a “special order” session which is expected to result in a concerted Republican call for Holder to quit or be fired.

The three congressmen, Nick Rahall of West Virginia, Gene Green of Texas, and Ron Kind of Wisconsin, were among 31 Democratic representatives who signed a letter last summer urging the Justice Department to cooperate with investigations being spearheaded by Republican Rep. Darrell Issa of California and Sen. Chuck Grassley of Iowa.

But they are the first to say that Holder and his department have failed to live up to the expectations they expressed in the letter which was sent to President Barack Obama in June last year. “I know there’s embarrassment at ATF, and I know this program is not just under President Obama,” Rahall told The Washington Times. “It was going on previous to that, but they ought to deal with it. They ought to clean it up and make sure that doesn’t happen.”

Still trying to spin it as "Bush did it". It is not working with the new media.

West Virginia and Wisconsin Rats . . . they are finally admitting the massive “chink” in the Rat armor. I feel a landslide of epic proportions coming.

Democrats supported a mayor caught selling crack cocaine, stood behind a legislation who's boyfriend was running a gay prostitution out of his basement, and lied for a President with a credible rape charge against him.

Do you really think there anything that offend these folks, well - other than finding a conservative jay walking?

As well they should fold...they do not want to go down with him. Sooner or later Holder will be shown for the criminal he is...and those who supported him through this will be made to look the fools at best, made to look like they were part of the coverup and attempts to miscarriage justice at worst.

Either way, unless the get away from him now, the stink, stench, and mud will cling to them and bring them down and they are beginning to see this.

Offend? No. Find as a negative in polling? Yes. Holder goes under the bus when this gets traction in the general public. If some Democrats are getting wobbly, then they fear this is getting traction.

What they fear most is losing their seats....they are from where? West Virginia, and Wisconsin. If one of these Rats was from Califoria or Massachusettes, then I would take notice.

The more Barry keeps the issues off the economy, deficit and foreign policy, which he is doing, the better it is for him. If public support wanes more, say he drops to 40% in the reelection polls, then you will see his real support begin to vanish, the MSM. They do not wish to be on the losing side...right now they are content to ride the train but if the train looks like it is going off the tracks, expect them to jump off. In their eyes, RINOey is a better fit for them then riding Ozero down to defeat. Were the opposition not him, say Palen or Perry or Gingrich; they would ride Odummy all the way to hell.

Dems in troubled areas would act like they care but all smoking mirrors. Look if Corizine can get away with $1.2B heist and Obama $1.2T+ with his stimulus’ there is no justice.

If Republicans are smart, they would not make a move now but keep Holder in the headlines to capitalize on Holder’s activities in the coming campaign.

The Bush administration stopped the operation when it was clear it wasn’t working. As a diversion (?) Holder is pursuing Sheriff Joe Arpaio on trumped up civil rights issues on immigration...ICE has been instructed NOT to do their job by Holder’s office...Sheriff Joe see’s enforcing the law a duty not a political whim. Holder’s behavior to the Issa-Grassley hearings is criminal....Holder must be relieved of his job ASAP if we are to have laws in America that mean what they say.

I’d be very surprised if they throw him under the bus...

He’s in a very key position for them, and he’s the perfect little fascist for the job.

"If Republicans are smart, they would not make a move now but keep Holder in the headlines to capitalize on Holder’s activities in the coming campaign."

Additionally, wait until after the elections and if Romney is elected, have the DOJ under a new AG proceed with prosecution of Holder and cohorts for malfeasance in office including any violations of criminal statutes.

“...If Republicans are smart,...”

...and have a set of balls...

There...fixed it for ya.

But...”If Republicans are smart,” is the operative phrase there.
