President Obama said that he had already decided to endorse gay marriage at some point ahead of the presidential election when Vice President Joe Biden jumped the gun with his own announcement on Sunday, according to an interview with ABC. “He probably got out a little over his skis, but out of generosity of spirit,” Obama told ABC’s Robin Roberts in an interview that aired Thursday on Good Morning America. “Would I have preferred to have done this in my own way on my own terms without, I think, there being a lot of notice to everybody? Of course. But all’s

I know what this means, but not being a skier, its not the sort of cliche I would think to use. Does Obama ski? Why would he think to use it?

If you spent as much time as Barry does lounging around watching ESPN you'd pick up all kinds of sports cliches. Of course, he has to do something while they're uploading his next thoughts into TOTUS.

It was all a setup. Gays were not writing checks for Obama so he had to change his position on gay marriage. But he didn’t want to look like he was flip flopping or pandering, so they acted as if Slo Jo’s statement forced him to announce his evolved position earlier than planned. Of course in order to believe that we have to believe a President and his VP can never have a policy disagreement. In order to believe that, we have to forget everything we know about Bush/Cheney.

Are we sure this is not a water skiing reference? As in, Jump the Shark?

"You’d have exactly equal luck writing in Sarah Palin, who opposes this stuff too."

Not true. Write ins, don't get reported. Virgil Goode will get reported. And as the constitution party gains strength, the GOP will either correct course or become the third party.

Both of which would tend to beckon on Obama a little bit more strongly.

Their records are the same. I'd rather have a democrat installing liberal policies, than a republican. Obama already has congress and SCOTUS starting to buck him. If Romney gets in, it will be 2020 before the GOP will even consider running a conservative.

Last time around there were plenty of news reports of write in votes. It doesn’t become a secret.

And your supposed rejoinder to my second remark is a non sequitur — it does not follow.

If you look at Romney the governor's actions, not the campaign speeches, you find a pro abortion, pro sodomy = marriage, pro romobamacare, pro big government, anti-gun governor.

Other than his campaign speeches which don't have credibility in light of his past actions, how is Romney different from Obama?

They are both from polygamous cults that were started after Christianity that deny the diety of Jesus.

Non sequitur. I leave it as an exercise for the open minded reader, and I will not waste my time on the rest.

Dear Mr. Obama,

I learned yesterday that you have ‘evolving’ views on marriage. Just so I am in full understanding, you are saying you no longer believe that marriage is a sacred union between a man and a woman. If it is now open to interruption then what is it?

At the San Francisco Marriage Counter

“Next.”

“Good morning. We want to apply for a marriage license.

“Names?”

“Tim and Jim Jones.”

“Jones?? Are you related?? I see a resemblance.”

“Yes, we’re brothers.”

“Brothers?? You can’t get married.”

“Why not?? Aren’t you giving marriage licenses to same gender couples?”

“Yes, thousands. But we haven’t had any siblings. That’s incest!”

“Incest?” No, we are not gay.”

“Not gay?? Then why do you want to get married?”

“For the financial benefits, of course. And we do love each other.
Besides, we don’t have any other prospects.”

“But we’re issuing marriage licenses to gay and lesbian couples who’ve
been denied equal protection under the law. If you are not gay, you
can get married to a woman.”

“Wait a minute. A gay man has the same right to marry a woman as I
have. But just because I’m straight doesn’t mean I want to marry a
woman. I want to marry Jim.”

“And I want to marry Tim, Are you going to discriminate against us
just because we are not gay?”

“All right, all right. I’ll give you your license.

“NEXT.”

“Hi. We are here to get married.”

“Names?”

“John Smith, Jane James, Robert Green, and June Johnson.”

“Who wants to marry whom?”

“We all want to marry each other.”

“But there are four of you!”

“That’s right. You see, we’re all bisexual. I love Jane and Robert,
Jane loves me and June, June loves Robert and Jane, and Robert loves
June and me. All of us getting married together is the only way that
we can express our sexual preferences in a marital relationship.”

“But we’ve only been granting licenses to gay and lesbian couples.”

“So you’re discriminating against bisexuals!”

“No, it’s just that, well, the traditional idea of marriage is that
it’s just for couples.”

“Since when are you standing on tradition?”

“Well, I mean, you have to draw the line somewhere.”

“Who says?? There’s no logical reason to limit marriage to couples.

The more the better. Besides, we demand our rights! The mayor says the
constitution guarantees equal protection under the law. Give us a
marriage license!”

“All right, all right.

NEXT.”

“Hello, I’d like a marriage license.”

“In what names?”

“David Deets.”

“And the other man?”

“That’s all. I want to marry myself.”

“Marry yourself?? What do you mean?”

“Well, my psychiatrist says I have a dual personality, so I want to
marry the two together. Maybe I can file a joint income-tax return.”

“That does it!? I quit!!? You people are making a mockery of marriage!!”

So Mr. Obama, exactly how evolved are you???
