ADEN: US drone strikes killed eight al Qaeda terrorists gathered in a house in southern Yemen, tribal sources said on Thursday, amid reports a Saudi mole had infiltrated the network and supplied information to the Central Intelligence Agency (CIA).
The strikes took place around midnight on Wednesday in the town of Jaar, an al Qaeda stronghold in Abyan province, a source in the town said.
We heard three explosions rock the town, the source said, adding that a US drone carried out the strikes on a residence where the terrorists had been meeting in the dead of night.
Eight terrorists were killed and their bodies were left in pieces, the source told AFP as witnesses said parts of the two-storey building were completely destroyed.

I seem to be getting a mixed message; I thought the war on terrorism was over?
Anyone else wonder if Republican presidents will enjoy the same media pass that zero is getting?
Come on, Bush and Cheney were blasted for harmless waterboarding by the media. Plus the who outed Valerie Plame thing.
Zero gets a pass for blasting who knows who, based on who knows what.
How does this end? We get or fabricate intelligence and remotely kill people. Are there any limits? Can this escalate to what other countries? Can this be scaled to hundreds killed per strike? What is the decision process? How can we confirm we did not make a mistake?
Republicans won’t be able to do this.
There you go again Cicero,
Talking all logic and facts again.
This administration is tough on terror, that’s all you need to know.
Remember that in the voting booth.
Poetic justice. They were meeting and scheming “in the DEAD of night.”/S
