“He was just growling, like a grumble as he passed away.”

Does anyone know if this is normal for heart attack victims?

Common heart attack symptoms include:

Pain extending beyond your chest to your shoulder, arm, back, or even to your teeth and jaw

Increasing episodes of chest pain

Prolonged pain in the upper abdomen

Shortness of breath

Sweating

Impending sense of doom

Fainting

Nausea and vomiting

I believe the witness is describing agonal respiration. I have witnessed this myself and believe that it matches the description (although hard to tell for sure without more detail).

Agonal breathing is ineffective breaths that make a growling sound. Normal in death.

I am more interested in the white band.

It’s common for ALL people who die regardless of the reason. The grumble is what’s called a death rattle. The horrible sounds they mention from his bowels are exactly what you think. Brietbart was “dead dead” - loss of bowel contents and bladder contents, completely collapsed lungs and all.
