I’m sure this will go up and down till November, with many more Obama surprises thrown in. But if these numbers actually reflect the opionons of the people, then they show that the people are not falling for Obama’s continuous, blatantly political games.

Should be a fun night in the Dem cable channel. Most there have been claiming this will HELP Obama.

You mean the new, improved HOMO-BAMA isn’t selling?

Don’t worry....the celebrity/gay vote will kick in here any minute and rescue obama....

In all seriousness, this is going to put some freepers over the edge, namely, the “obama can’t lose” crowd. What are they going to do if obama is still behind by 5 points come October? Start actively campaigning for obama so that they can prove to everyone just how conservative they are, because as we all know, all true conservatives advocate the defeat of Romney at all costs?

This could get interesting......

Hope it is a landslide of 1980 and 1984 proportions against the Kenyan-Marist.

I’m telling you....Michelle does not want a second term...otherwise she would be out there campaigning.

I think the real number is 55%Romney/45% The One since these polls notoriously oversample Dems.

It’s a long way until November. This is not the time to start doing the happy dance.

Good news. May mean Romney can win without my having to pulling the lever for him, just the down ballot conservatives.

Like all organizations that conduct public opinion polls, Rasmussen Reports weights its data to reflect the population at large (see methodology). It is important to remember that the Rasmussen Reports job approval ratings are based upon a sample of likely voters. Some other firms base their approval ratings on samples of all adults. Obama's numbers are almost always several points higher in a poll of adults rather than likely voters. That's because some of the president's most enthusiastic supporters, such as young adults, are less likely to turn out to vote.

Watch NJ. Menendez is @ 43% and his (R) challenger who is noted a bit of less than stellar campaign=er is at 33%This is flippin' corrupt Jersey and we 7 months out...

He easily can close the gap and Menendez is way below the magic 50% number and it is the same % Obama is @ in the Rassey Pole/

I don't mean to get ahead of myself, but this is may turn out to be a combo of Reagan 84' and Newt's Contract in 94' in terms of the number and the seed change we will see....

The press and the likes of Smucky Chumer will so stunned the day after they will be mumbling to themselves...

It don't want to jinx us, but it is gonna be a flippin' blow out like we have never seen, 2010 on Steroids...

They are now in a white house meeting to decide who will get the blame for this poll rating. It is for sure that mac daddy will not get ANY blame as all his decisions are perfect, misunderstood or ranting of the conservatives.

Everyone must understand all that he has done for America i.e.:

Massive Debt
Massive unemployment
Loss of respect for American leadership
Runaway Departments, EPA, HHS, Education, TSA, etc.

and the list goes on and on.

I am averse to mindless optimism. It's a seductive form of denial, which is the most dangerous thing there is. However, the recent North Carolina vote rejecting same-sex marriage might be a forecast, heralding the rejection of decadence by the majority of Americans. I.e., it might be a sign that the American people have come to their senses.

Time will tell.
