Hmmm, Harvard apparently touted Elizabeth Warren’s status as a Native American in the New York Times

Throughout the controversy over Elizabeth Warren’s claimed Native American ancestry, Warren has maintained she was unaware that Harvard Law School touted her heritage in defense of it’s diversity hiring practices in the 90′s. As reported by the Boston Herald, the Harvard student newspaper The Crimson published at least two contemporaneous articles on this topic which made reference to Elizabeth Warren as a Native American professor, in defense of the Law School. But it turns out this controversy generated ink in more than just the Harvard school paper: it also found it’s way into the New York Times. This is the full text of a letter published by the Times on Feb. 1, 1998 (emphasis added):

Re the Jan. 29 Op-Ed article on hiring at Harvard Law School: Since 1989 the school has appointed to the faculty or voted tenure for four African-Americans, a Hispanic professor and eight women, including a Native American.

The school first offered a visiting professorship to Lani Guinier in 1992. Because of her nomination by President Clinton and for personal reasons, she was unable to accept our offer until January 1996. We offered her a tenured professorship in February 1996 and were happy to receive her acceptance of the offer this month.

Wasn’t there another faux-Cherokee, by name of Ward Churchill, that was entirely supportive of the attack made upon the World Trade Center on 9/11?

A little something about the Cherokee Nation - the original home of the folk came from the northern part of Georgia, eastern Tennessee, western North Carolina and parts of Kentucky. Under the terms of Indian removal instituted under the Andrew Jackson administration, the Cherokee people were rounded up and marched west into Oklahoma, a saga known as the “Trail of Tears”.

Ward Churchill used this incident in our nation’s history to fire up his own indignation, and went so far as to claim he was an “honorary” member of the United Keetoowah Band, which beginning in the 1970s, gave some people honorary associate members, to recognize their services to the nation. The UKB have since rescinded the practice, and in fact, there is no record of Ward Churchill ever being accorded such standing. And besides, the various bands within the Cherokee Nation have a “blood quantum” rule of not less than 25% to be declared a tribal member. In certain bands, it is mandatory that the heritage be matrilineal, if your mother was not Cherokee, you can’t be Cherokee.

And now we have Elizabeth Warren. Not only a faux-Cherokee, but in many respects, a faux-American.

This doesn't just call into question Elizabeth Warren's "racial legitimacy," but the whole corrupt system of "racial legitimacy." The whole stinking ediface of race, color, sex, gender, and nationality-based preferments and entitlements should come crashing down.

Now, you know the alphabet identity group that begins with LGBTQ, whatever, and ends with HIV and STD, is demanding that Obama issue an Executive Order concerning the EEOC and gays in employment. Pretty soon everybody will be claiming to be sexually iffy to get a decent job or get admitted to a top school.

"Amanda, honey, you kissed that girl in the 8th grade. For God's sake, don't forget to mention that in your application."
