Pelosi: Her Catholic Faith 'Compels' Her to Support Same-Sex Marriage
CNS News ^ | 5/10/2012 | Christopher Goins

Posted on 05/11/2012 4:24:30 PM PDT by IbJensen

CNSNews.com) – House Minority Leader Nancy Pelosi (D-Calif.) said Thursday that her Catholic faith "compels" her to "be against discrimination of any kind" and thus for same-sex marriage.

A reporter asked Pelosi: “Many of the people that are opposed to gay marriage cite their religion as the reason why they're opposed. You're a Catholic that supports gay marriage. Do you believe that religion and the idea that you can support gay marriage can be separated? And how do you grapple with the idea that you support gay marriage as a Catholic?”

Pelosi responded: "My religion has, compels me--and I love it for it--to be against discrimination of any kind in our country, and I consider this a form of discrimination. I think it’s unconstitutional on top of that. "

Pelosi spoke glowingly of the comments President Barack Obama made Wednesday when he said he supported same-sex marriage.

"So I think that yesterday was a great day for America because the president in a very personal, as well as presidential way, made history, and hopefully this will bring people together on the issue," Pelosi said.

Pelosi also said that the president "went a long way" in shortening the difference between the "inevitable and the inconceivable" of the introduction of same-sex “marriage.”

"It’s a matter of time. It's all about time. And on these issues, what is inevitable to some of us is inconceivable to others," she said. "And what we want to do is shorten the difference between the inevitable and the inconceivable," she continued. "And I think the president went a long way in doing that yesterday."

While opposing "unjust discrimination" against homosexuals, the Catechism of the Catholic Church says that homosexual acts are "contrary to the natural law" and can never be approved and that marriage is the sacramental union of a man and a woman.

"Basing itself on Sacred Scripture, which presents homosexual acts as acts of grave depravity, tradition has always declared that 'homosexual acts are intrinsically disordered,'" says the Catechism. "They are contrary to the natural law. They close the sexual act to the gift of life. They do not proceed from a genuine affective and sexual complementarity. Under no circumstances can they be approved.

"The number of men and women who have deep-seated homosexual tendencies is not negligible," says the Catechism. "This inclination, which is objectively disordered, constitutes for most of them a trial. They must be accepted with respect, compassion, and sensitivity. Every sign of unjust discrimination in their regard should be avoided. These persons are called to fulfill God's will in their lives and, if they are Christians, to unite to the sacrifice of the Lord's Cross the difficulties they may encounter from their condition.

"Homosexual persons are called to chastity," says the Catechism. "Sexuality is ordered to the conjugal love of man and woman."

Another speech from the Mad Hatters table.

Who really knows what this " twisted ditz" truly believes. The only people who listen to her are her degenerate constituents, and folks like me who can't resist taking a look at the "train wreck. This latest bit of nonsensical twitter is particularly absurd. Stick to preaching to your choir Nancy, you're making me choke.

Homosexuals unite! Nutsy is making your corrupt situation even worse. She represents the nude and lewd of San Francisco, what else would one expect?

Nancy! Think you should read this.

Lev 18:22 Thou shalt not lie with mankind, as with womankind: it [is] abomination.

Lev 20:13 If a man also lie with mankind, as he lieth with a woman, both of them have committed an abomination: they shall surely be put to death; their blood [shall be] upon them.

Pelosi has no "Christian faith" at all. If anyone hasn't seen her explain "the word" I strongly suggest they go to youtube and search for "pelosi's favorite word". It's hilarious to see what a phony and complete idiot this woman is.

In fact, here is a link to it. Running time about 1 min.

The years of liberalization of the Catholic and other Christian denominations have all been for this purpose. There are now so many lib ‘Christians’ in positions of power throughout the faith that they are staging an open hijack of what it means to be Christian.

The Pope and other true Christian leaders better get this smacked down hard....now.

The problem today is what has transpired since the horrendously disasterous Vatican II whereby an entirely new religion was created.

If it feels good, do it! Vatican II replaced the Roman Catholic Church with the lurking modernists’ view of what satan really wants: Novus Ordo!

Prior to the catastrophic Vatican II, the Roman Catholic Church was a lighthouse, a bellweather to the entire Christian faith. Today it is a cafeteria that has driven Jesus Christ and His Father out of what passes for Catholic Churches today.

Nutsy Pelousy is a product of the Novus Ordo AND The New World Order!

Ya know it’s bad enough that Pelosi has no idea what it means to be Catholic, but to make statements about the Catholic faith that are vile and untrue is just too much.

I know Bishops are uneasy in attacking people who they may have to go to for political favors, but at some point in time one of them MUST speak out against this crazed woman.

If she really believes she must support Mortal sin, she is a demon, or demon possessed.

What is upsetting is that Pres. and Pelosi drag children in to prove the golden rule, it just is not fair. Hawking a sexual orientation to children borders on child abuse. After the sexual revolution in the 1960’s did not bring nirvana but destruction in the culture. How many people where hurt by irresponsible sexual relationships? How many people are poor because of single parents? Redefining marriage and forcing it on us I do think will lead to even more misery if not poor. In liberal Calif 78% fail 8th grade test on science. As Pelosi said same sex marriage is more important than the elections. I guess her state feels the same way about science.

After the death of Pope Pius XIII (?) the consistory was hijacked by a group of French Cardinals. An Italian Cardinal by the name of Siri was duly elected but several minutes after those in revolt went to him and advised that though elected he could not serve. The problem was that Siri was very anti Communist and was told by the usurpers that thye Soviet Union declared that if Siri were to assume the Papacy they would kidnap and kill all Cardinals and Bishops in their jurisdiction. Believing this wild claim, Siri relinquished the Papacy. Pope John XXIII was then elected and went on to ruin the Catholic Church. Look it up.

Nancy’s Catholic faith? My teachers warned us about this when I was a young child. They said watch for those who would profess to be of the catholic faith who would be of heretical origin. Nancy Pelosi is a prime example. Nobody is a better repesentative of that than Nancy Pelosi. By fifty years of lead in, they were right. She is somebody of position who is trying to lead people astray. This is great! What I was told of 50 years ago is coming true.

“Her Catholic Faith compels her...” because while she is nominally inside the Catholic Church she is at war with Christian precepts all up and down the line. In order to topple the Establishment i.e. the Church she must oppose anything the Church supports. It isn’t her “Faith.” It is, rather, her opposition to Christian Faith and her subservience to her Atheistic god, the government.

Every time someone puts “Pelosi” and “Catholic” in the same sentence, I get very upset. That this person continues to denigrate the faith, deny the authority of that faith and pretend to speak for all Catholics is pure evil. I will continue to pray for her, but I don’t have to tolerate her; and the Church doesn’t say anyone must tolerate evil.

My sister, sho works for the Catholic Church, has a hard time believing there are gay priests. The Church teaches after all that sex is for marriage only and then for the making of children. If you can’t make children by having sex then Catholics should have nothing to do with it. I wonder what Nancy would have to say about that?

The fact that she, and others like her, haven’t been excommunicated is to the Catholic’s shame and failing. Decent, loving Catholics should protest to the point of being taken seriously and changing the attitudes of acceptance and of ignoring such grave, heinous and public sins.

This manaical piece of plastic surgery art is proof positive that firstly she doesn’t indeed know her ass from a hole in the ground and secondly that she was one of many key players who brought this nation to its knees.

She hasn’t a God to pray to for forgiveness because she is a non-believer and satan, who has been her master for a long time only remembers that she has been a willing soldier in his army.

To put it quite simply, the Catholic Church hasn’t been doing the job assigned to it by our Saviour, Jesus Christ. He left a perfectly good church behind to await His Second Comming and things limped along as things will until after the death of Pope Pius XII. Then, pardon the lingo, all HELL broke loose. Vatican II emasculated prelate and church and the various dioceses throughout the world thought, quite rightly, that they had a new plaything: voila. A new religion was born, but without babe in a manger and, God forbid, a suffering Christ on a crucifix. It’s bongos and guitars now to provide jarringly irritating music background as the Novus Ordo clergy takes a meat axe to what passed for tenets and liturgy.

If anyone thinks that the floodgates were opened by accident to allow the homosexuals into the seminaries and then into neighborhood parishes they are absolutely wrong headed.

This was a plot hatched by our friends in the Kremlin to bring down one of their perceived two greatest enemies: the Roman Catholic Church ahd the United States. They knew the Church would be on its knees over this scandal. (See: homosexuals do have a use)

Vatican II which formed a new Novus Ordo, anything goes touchy feely kind of thing, made the insertion of many sodomites easier to accomplish. Father limp wrist wouldn’t stand out as much and the kiddies would love him.

Let’s hope the last of that has been eradicated and we can now concentrate on taking the church back from satan. I doubt if the present pope will allow it as he appears dedicated to the Novus Ordo and has been toiling hard to bring it about.
