It has become clear for some time that there is no limit to which a leftist will go in there attempt to control mankind from the cradle to the grave. Even the fear of voter backlash in an election year does not seem to slow them down any longer. Why else would Obama come out of the closet in full support of same sex marriage, at the same time that California Democrats are attempting to criminalize a parent's influence upon their child's sexual orientation. Passing through the California Senate Judiciary committee by a vote of 3-1, SB 1172 is on its way to the full Senate for consideration. If passed into law, it won't be long before therapists, psychologists, counselors and parents could be convicted of crimes against the state if they ever attempt to change a child's sexual orientation. Sponsored by State Senator Ted W. Lieu (D) Senate Bill 1172 (pdf file) discourages "sexual orientation change efforts" of adults and essentially makes it illegal to change the sexual orientation of minors.
The legislation would require all adults to sign a consent form before they undergo any therapy that would attempt to change their sexual orientation from gay to straight, or even straight to gay. As for the children, SB 1172 would abolish all parental control that influences whether they will grow up to be gay or heterosexual. Furthermore, parents who violate this law could lose custody of their children to the state.
You can bet that if this gets signed into law, there will be lawsuits all the way to the Supreme Court. Especially when you consider that this bill would give the state the right to step into doctors' examination rooms, or psychiatrists' offices and gag

Obama, Reid, and Nany Pelosi and their homosexual activist allies have have made it clear that they plan on advancing similar legislation at the federal level. We already know that Obama has taken a stance that will embolden the leftists who support the homosexualization of America.
He did so, knowing that same sex marriage was again delivered a huge defeat at the polls, this time in NC. It would seem that even an election year does not worry them anylonger.
It is time to put the fear of God into the left by doing all we can to deliver a death blow to their ambitions by sending the most conservative members to Congress we can.

Another article about this proposed law in CA. Children are never homosexual unless influenced by others, specifically older homosexuals, and public schools are turning into cruising grounds via GLSEN and the like. It is to be expected that more children will be getting confused about their sexuality due to malignant social influences. So this law would criminalize parents who want to help their children lose that confusion. Evil to the max.
Can hardly wait until Obama, Reid, Pelosi, Frank & Dodd, et al, are frog marched to prison. Corruption abounds!!

You know, the way the bill is written, it would also open up prosecution against those who want to influence a child to be gay.
So to answer your question, Yes.
However, it still needs to be defeated, because I am we cannot count on local prosecutors in the metro-sexual cities to enforce this upon the homosexual community as they would against the Christian right.

I agree, the left would use this law only one way, and that would be against heteros trying to make sure their child wasn’t dragged into a life of queerness. The same way the hate crime laws only work white against black and not black against white.

You’ll still have those choices: “You can be anything you want to be” will just mean a gay nurse, a gay fireman, a gay doctor, a gay cowboy, ....
Parents should announce:
“If you are old enough for sex, you are old enough to move out and take care of yourself”
By their line of reasoning the only thing forbidden is to forbid anything.

My husband made that exact point. He said there would be the usual double standard, one enforcement for heterosexuals, and another (non-enforcement) for homosexuals.

We need to change that this year at the ballot box. Time to make them pay for their Insolence towards God.
Even though I will not vote for anyone for president, I will vote down ticket for conservatives.
That being said, Romney will win by almost if not more of a margin than Reagan beat carter by.
Many Americans, including the so-called moderate Independents and registered Democrats will vote for anyone besides Obama.
Sadly, the GOP establishment will take it to mean moderates win big, conservatives my win, but with small margins as they completely ignore Reagan’s historic landslide victory.
They will say GW was a conservative and that he could not get the majority vote against Gore to make their point.
So we need to ensure that both the House and the senate have as many true red blooded constructionist conservatives as we can to hold Romney’s proverbial feet to the fire. Especially when you consider that he will have the chance to probably appoint 2 Justices on the Supreme Court.
If we play our cards right by getting many, many conservatives in Congress, then we will get two conservatives on the court. That will ensure 50 plus years of opinions that will help turn this country around.
I always said that Christ will return because men are bad on their own, not because a government made them evil. So that means we will have a period of unfettered true capitalism that will make all nations free to become so comfortable that they will begin believing they are responsible for their own success, not GOD!
Then Christ will return, and we can all go home to the place he has prepared ahead of time for us. So it is up to us to take back the senate and embolden all the conservatives we put in to turn this economic machine around to usher in Christ’s return.
Just the way I see it, but that does not mean I will ever vote for a liberal from Massachusetts.

Having raised boys, I know they like boys better than girls when they are young. The Left is homosexualizing/grooming them young in homo public schools, too. So I suspect their scheme will work with many young boys and parents will be persecuted if they try to interfere with the program once they have been tagged “gay” sexual property by the government schools. Sick, sick, sick. Can people be this ignorant?!
I suppose once this gay nonsense was given free rein this could have been foreseen. For all virtues, such as American ideas of being created equal and of freedom, there are vices that more or less closely counterfeit them. Without logical reasoning and a godly moral foundation, the potential for mischief is almost limitless.
The problem of course is not THAT the lads are kissing one another (it’s a very heterosexual thing for men to do in Italy, for example) but WHY.

What do you mean “The choice has never been this clear” Obama favors homosexual marriage, and Romney, long time advocate for the Homosexual Agenda, implemented gay marriage in Mass and just came out in favor of homosexual adoption.
