Michelle Obama urges NC A&T grads to seek change

GREENSBORO, N.C. (AP) The historic action that four North Carolina college students took that led to desegregation at lunch counters more than half a century ago shows what young people can do to change their world for the better, first lady Michelle Obama said during a commencement speech Saturday.
Mrs. Obama addressed a crowd of about 15,000, including more than 1,200 graduates of North Carolina Agricultural and Technical State University, one of the state university system's historically black schools.

North Carolina is considered a battleground state in the presidential election and the first lady's visit was expected to generate goodwill within a core Democratic Party constituency as President Barack Obama seeks re-election this fall.
Mrs. Obama steered clear of references to politics and her husband's re-election bid, though the audience cheered when the first lady told graduates: "We have the responsibility to protect the ground that has already been won, because it can just as easily be lost."

GREENSBORO, N.C. Police said an 18-year-old is dead after being shot in a carnivals parking lot Friday night in Greensboro.
Michael Felka was shot around 10:45 p.m. at the corner of Ellington and Hanner Streets outside of the Greensboro Youth Council Carnival at the Greensboro Coliseum Complex, police said.
Witnesses said the shooting was part of a gang fight. Police have not confirmed that, but did say that more than a dozen people were involved.
I saw a group of 100 or so running around the tents, said a carnival worker who was finishing up his shift at the time of the shooting. The man asked to remain unanimous.

Yes, we must make certain that the economy remains in a death spiral.
Sorry about the carnival shooting, btw.
Isn't that semantically identical to "Stand your ground"?
Biden to Students: You All Realize You’re Spreading Socialism, Don’t You?’

“We have the responsibility to protect the ground that has already been won, because it can just as easily be lost.”
They need to climb “Rubble Mountain, Detroit” and protect the ground socialist policies have won. I’m all for it. Video too please.
What ground are they worried about losing? The right to vote? or is it preference in hiring? hmm?
There’s only one possibility - the amount of the economy owned by the federal government. The f’n communists don’t want to give it back.
She wants them to throw away their education and become Trayvons.
They took a vote on it?
Haha. This needs to be put right into the President’s face.

My advice to NC A&T graduates seeking “change” is to stand on a busy street corner with a handwritten cardboard sign saying “Jobless - Hungry”. Of course, have a hat or pail in front of you for passersby to deposit the change.
These people hate the America we love, and every bit of it they destroy (wealth, marriage, initiative, independence, pride, strength, on and on) they view as “ground won.”
They know they are fighting a war and most of our side just wants a little more money, a bigger office, a few additional perks.
INQUIRING PEOPLE WANT TO KNOW:
Who paid for the Government plane that flew her down there, and who is continuing to pay for Air Force One while it is on political campaign trips?
It’s time we found out who is paying for these trips.
And what the hell happened to the two million dollar buses we bought.
