ref John 8:44

Their ideological father has a lot to do with them deluding themselves.

I believe these “dissertations” and offering Phd’s in Grievance Studies are just another example of the soft bigotry of the left, head-patting the minorities with words of “we know you can’t achieve the standards of academic rigor required by real majors, so here’s one for you.”

Thanks for the link to a fascinating article! I am a native of NC and hold a BA and MA from UNCG. I am a State fan and so UNC is not my favorite school, but I must admit I have not paid much attention to this scandal. I have been teaching for 28 years at a community college and there is NO way any instructor, black or white, could get away with such “academic malpractice” at our institution!

Things like this are the same reason the phrase “dialog on race” always sets off my BS detector. (Along with a few other terms like “Green”, “Recycled”, and “Climate Change”)

“We need to have a dialog on race.”

You know what that means?

“We need to sit around and discuss all the ways in which white people suck.”

Whenever people use the term “Dialog on race” it is never meant to include any discussion of black people's responsibility for their own situations or circumstances. It is always meant to be a lecture moving in one direction - from blacks towards whites.

Unfortunately, being married to a black man doesn't necessarily give her any status with certain people. There's at least a decent chance that many of the people who wanted her fired despised her even more upon learning that fact. Especially the black women.

Especially the black women.

You are probably right! I had not thought of that angle, even though I know black women do not like it when black men marry white women.
