Things are still getting worse.
The Dow is off 137.
Greece is off 5%.
Spain is down 2.9%.
Italy (shown here) is off 3.4%.

The price of gas in WA is up, up, up these past couple weeks yet all of the news says prices are decreasing. Is CA driving it up? I saw $4.45/gal for Chevron Supreme this morning on the way to work. It was $4.17/gal not 10 days ago.........
You are absolutely correct about all the orchestration. Reminds me of the orchestration of everything Obama and GANG-GREEEN!!! (BLEEP 'em)
What! There is market manipulation? Seriously, what hasn't been corrupted in this once great nation?
” Most don’t realize that either approach arrives at the same point, complete collapse of the economy.
There is no (peaceful) way back from here. “
Nope.

Wow, that is even worse than in Californicator land.
Did the enviro eco terrorist put in new gas recipes on the state, while no one was looking?
Check on your gasoline recipes for late spring/summer driving to see if your enviro terrorists sneaked a new expensive formula in.
We probably haven’t had coal powered electricity in decades.
I read somewhere that 20% of our (CA) electicity comes from nuclear and a lesser percentage from hydro, so where’s the rest coming from if it ain’t coal? It sure isn’t wind and solar, both of which don’t come near to hydro. Let me see if Thackney knows...
Net Generation by Energy Source: Total (All Sectors), 1998 through February 2012

If you look at the data in the link above, you will see it wasn't that long ago when coal was ~50%.
Whoops, missed that CA qualifier. That was the whole US.
Give me a minute.
1.3% Coal
0.4% Petroleum
47.8% Natural Gas
0.8% Other Gases
16.2% Nuclear
21.1% Hydroelectric Conventional
1.9% Wind
0.01% Solar Thermal and Photovoltaic
2.1% Wood and Wood Derived Fuels
7.6% Geothermal
1.3% Other Biomass
-0.7% Pumped Storage
0.3% Other
http://www.eia.gov/cneaf/electricity/epa/generation_state_mon.xls
Note: Pumped Storage is negative because it is storing energy produced by another source for use at the peak. The losses in this system result in negative percentage. It provides power when you need it, but it takes power to do so.
IMHO, markets tanked in ‘08 when it became clear Obama would win (the market is forward-looking).
I’d expect a similar uptick when Romney (i.e, anybody-but-Obama) becomes the heir-apparent.
As usual you are always right in touch with the most current data.
That’s ok. As usual I was so far off that I really needed your help. Thanks again!!!
I want some hope...I want to be able to sleep at night...
Thanks to Thackney, we now have the answer to coal powered electricity in Californiacator land, 1.3%.
I wonder where any surviving coal powered electrical generator plants are. I think that maybe a few that are only used in high demand days just before Californiacator land goes black with a power outage.
The good thing about Gray Davis’s rolling black out days followed by the Green Arnold was the approval, building and getting on line, new natural gas powered electro plants.

The last six use petroleum coke (refinery leftover product) as their primary fuel, but can burn coal as well. The second and the fourth are coal gasification. All are operational, all are Cogeneration units (meaning part of another system like generating heat for another process).
