ABC has canceled its freshman series with the controversial title "GCB," which some believed mocked Christians, as it failed to attract enough viewership.

If you're going to rely on 'the market' to uphold Christian standards of behavior I've got some news for you.
What does GCB mean so I can be appropriately offended?
Love her, yes,
but understand she’s working for the “other team”.
And I don’t mean the democRats. See tagline.
I think you meant frijones.
>Good Muslum Bitches.<
That show will never fly.
Who wants to watch a bunch of moving burqas and occasionally some raghead moving among them hitting them with a switch?
Of course there are those among us who relish a realistic stoning scene once in awhile just before dinner. Those who expect a happy ending will be sorely disappointed.
Nah, it will never fly.
What Mr. Amarth really means is b*lls but he is too much of a gentleman to mention it on FR.
The market is not responsible for upholding Christian standards. But the market will punish those bigots who feel free to trash standards of a group in a way that is not shared by a large number of folks. The producers thought they were cute - the people said “it’s not really that funny.”
You could have countered: would she watch a show that made fun of blacks, homosexuals, or Muslims?
Who was the target audience?
Probably, if they created a show simular to The Andy Griffith Show. Basically, with quirky but good natured folks, with an occasional moral lesson, it would be gold.
I did, and I am. lol
Everyone in my family loves “The Andy Griffith show” even my teenage daughters.
Good to see you are still with us! Been a long time... those Seattle folk must be keeping you real busy I bet!
Just call it, "CSI: Mayberry"
What we gonna do right now is go back...way back...as we go a little somethin’ like thiiiiiis...
I know that sometimes supply creates its own demand. Im not sure all that many people were, even secretly, harboring desires for Sex And The City: Dallas Edition.

...Yay, me. I figured that thing would have trouble making it past 13 weeks. I should have put money on it.
All money is fungible. The Hollywood-Media Complex will simply move the money from this failed effort into a different front in their 50 year war against Christianity.
ABC is waking up to market realities. Maybe the MSM will be next - then again maybe they’d rather go under...
Mind the tagline, it’s a true story. I worked with a lad that was always mocking Christians, and Christianity. He is a devout liberal atheist. As he was mocking Christians one day I asked him “why don’t you ever mock Islam and Muslims?” without even thinking about it he blurted out “Muslims are violent.”
It didn’t just mock Christians. It mocked Texans too. And of course, mocking Texas and other “red states” is back in vogue among the idiotic Obama leftists.
Ironically, my church-going Christian neighbors are the ones that told me about the show’s premiere when it was called “Good Christian Bitches”...and they seemed to think it was funny. I found that to be pretty amazing, considering how demeaning it was. Maybe they just aren’t bright enough to discern ridicule when they see it.
At least he's honest about it.
