PALIN DERANGEMENT SYNDROME: ROMNEY CAMP ALLOWS MEDIA TO IMPACT VP CHOICE
Breitbart News ^ | 5-14-2012 | John Nolte

Posted on 05/14/2012 1:39:41 PM PDT by palin45potus

In their never-ending crusade to destroy traditional conservatives, we expect the corrupt media to lie. It's what they do and what they've done for decades. What we don’t expect, though, is to have our presumptive nominee fuel those lies and allow those lies to affect his crucially important vice presidential pick. This is why this morning's report in the left-wing Politico is so troubling: [emphasis added]

Mitt Romney and his top aides are building a strategy, partly by design and partly because of circumstance, around what they consider John McCain’s disastrously run campaign in 2008.

The strategy: whatever McCain did, do the opposite.

The person that Mrs Palin has suggested on a few occasions is Lt Col Allen West.

THAT would be a fantastic selection as far as I am concerned.

Team Romney Cut the Hair off of Conservatives
and GOP in 2008. SSDD

Backstabber Romney and his Legion of Decepticons
attacked Gov. Palin and her children for Obama.

WHO CAN FORGET THE VICIOUS TEAM ROMNEY?

Romney for Obama in 2008

Late in October, The American Spectator's The Prowler revealed:
"Former Mitt Romney presidential campaign staffers…
have been involved in spreading anti-Palin spin to reporters, seeking to diminish her standing after the election.
'Sarah Palin is a lightweight, she won't be the first, not even the third, person people will think of when it comes to 2012,'
says one former Romney aide…
'The only serious candidate ready to challenge to lead the Republican Party is Mitt Romney.
"Some former Romney aides were behind the recent leaks to media, including CNN, that Governor Sarah Palin was a 'diva' and was going off message intentionally."

The Palmetto Scoop reported: "One of the first stories to hit the national airwaves was
the claim of a major internal strife between close McCain aides and the folks handling his running mate Sarah Palin."
"I’m told by very good sources that this was indeed the case and that a rift had developed, but it was between Palin’s people and the staffers brought on from the failed presidential campaign of former Gov. Mitt Romney, not McCain aides."
"The sources said nearly 80 percent of Romney’s former staff was absorbed by McCain and these individuals were responsible for what amounts to a premeditated, last-minute sabotage of Palin."
… aides loyal to Romney inside the McCain campaign, said The Scoop, reportedly saw
that Palin would be a serious contender for the Republican nomination in 2012 or 2016, which made her a threat to another presidential quest by Romney.

"These staffers are now out trying to finish her off ….hoping it would ingratiate themselves with Mitt Romney."

"Who's the Palin Leaker from the McCain Campaign?
National Review Online The publication of a Vanity Fair profile of Sarah Palin
appears to have opened old wounds in the McCain campaign.
... the source of the “Diva” leak was Nicolle Wallace’s husband."

"Peeking Out From the McCain Wreckage: Mitt Romney"

"Someone's got to say it: IS MITT ROMNEY RESPONSIBLE FOR OBAMA'S VICTORY?"

"Vanity: Team Romney Sabotaged Palin and Continuing to Do So?"

"Romney Supporters Trashing Palin"

"Romney advisors sniping at Palin?"

It is simply a cold hard fact that one of the very few smart decisions McCain made was to put Sarah Palin on the ticket. Polls and exit polls conclusively prove this.

The only reason I voted in November 2008 was because Sarah Palin was running.

If it was McLame & somebody else, I would have stayed home and changed my oil that day.

Thanks for this posting.

It’s good to be reminded that back in 2008, this guy apparently put his own political fortunes ahead of the GOP and more importantly, the country.

It would be one thing if he’d just been a silent observer. But to actively sabotage the ticket is beyond words that I can use here.

Allen West would be my first choice as well. Rubio is also up there, as well as Rand Paul

These are campaign staffers, supporters, advisers and aides doings.
Without reading a lot of these links, may I ask if Romney, himself said anything bad? Not that he wouldn’t.

I jokingly posted that one day the libs will blame the Palin pick for McCains downfall, even though it was the only thing making the race close.

Romney is going to make a bland, safe choice.
Rob Portman, Tim Pawlenty or somesuch. The strategy appears to be remain positive and non-threatening, don’t do anything stupid, and just get out of the way and let Obama implode.

Not saying that’s a great strategy but it’s what they are going to do.

The problem for CONSERVATIVE candidates
is that TEAM ROMNEY has always destroyed them.

And the MSM and the DNC love him for it.
Who? Like Sen Thompson.

Like Gov. Palin.

Like several others this primary.

Novak: "Fred Thompson drop-out rumors traced to Romney campaign"

Said Novak: "The rumors were traced in part to Mitt Romney's campaign,
trying to stir up strife between McCain and Thompson
."

"Despite outspending his rivals by huge margins throughout the primaries,
(Mitt Romney, Carpetbagger UT,CA,MA,NH,Mexico) lost Iowa, South Carolina, Florida and California.
The only primaries he won were in Michigan, where Dad was governor; LDS states;
and a few states on Super Tuesday in which his California-obsessed rivals
couldn't spare the cash to advertise.
Only John Connolly in 1968 had a worse cash-to-delegates ratio.
And John McCain rightly did not like Romney's tactics during the primaries.
(W)hen (Romney's early leads) started slipping away, he resorted to unfair,
distorted, scorched-earth negative ads, betting that his opponents couldn't
afford to spend enough for the truth to catch up to his charges."

The strategy: whatever McCain did, do the opposite.

sub-point 1: don't be a pansy-ass; grow some
sub-point 2: take it to your opponent even if it is politically incorrect - IOW do to 0 what you did to Newt and Santorum
sub-point 3: don't believe the media has/will ever love you
sub-point 4: don't believe that you are the reason you get the vote

The only thing Governor Sarah Palin did was beat Democrats and “Frick & Frack” GOP-e Republicans, get on the city council, become Mayor, chair an energy commission, become Governor and run as Vice President, raise her family, not abort her child, share earnings responsibility with her Husband, start a small business, and stick by her pregnant daughter. I can see how she would be a bad example for the woman’s liberation movement, the establishment, Demoocrat & Republican, abortion for children without notifying parents and others who want us to buy oil from the Middle East and hate Israel.
