Ron Paul Admits He Will Not Be President
The Atlantic ^ | May 14 2012 | Molly Ball

Ron Paul announced Monday the Texas congressman will not campaign in the states that have yet to vote in the Republican primary. And while Paul insisted that the campaign would continue to amass delegates, the statement -- which referred to the campaign in the past tense...

Though the statement is a bit cryptic, it seems to be a message directed mainly at Paul's activist following. The message: Cool it.

In recent weeks, Paul supporters have increasingly been making trouble at local Republican Party conventions, even as they've succeeded in gaining delegates in several states. This past weekend, Paul delegates in Oklahoma got in a physical altercation with Mitt Romney's delegates, and in Arizona, Paul backers booed Romney's son Josh. A Paul supporter even interrupted Herman Cain at a GOP gathering in Virginia on Saturday...

his campaign publicly disavowed Paul-supporting activists' attempts to take over the state party in Idaho.

Paul and his team are, according to sources familiar with their thinking, deeply uncomfortable with the spectacles staged on his behalf. But more than that, they see the chaos as a threat to Paul's long-term goals...

The problem is, many of Paul's grassroots supporters still believe Paul can win if they keep pushing at the local level. They've latched onto obscure provisions of the Republican National Committee rules like Article 38, which they claim states that no convention delegates can be bound to a candidate. They have argued that the RNC's announcement of support for Romney violates another arcane party rule, and called for RNC Chairman Reince Priebus's ouster as a result. On Sunday, Paul's campaign chairman, Jesse Benton, attempted to tamp down this clamor with a statement of support for Priebus and the RNC's actions...

Interesting analysis. The Pauls have very limited control of their rowdy supporters.

“publicly disavowed Paul-supporting activists’ attempts to take over the state party in Idaho”

“statement of support for Priebus and the RNC’s actions”

Poor RPists. Even RP has gone RINO on them now!

If only RP would give up his crazy mideast positions. Most of what he says is exactly right. Goes to show, no one has it 100% right. Except me, of course.

That's because a good contingent, %-wise, I don't really know, but a good number of democrats/unenrolleds. These "Blue Republicans" have outwardly declared to change parties for a limited period, long enough to help create chaos in Tampa.

Personally, I think Ron Paul should switch his efforts to an independent campaign and hammer away at the economic facts. I don’t think Romney is capable of articulating a true conservative viewpoint, but it is problematic that any third candidate would probably increase Obama’s chances.

I still believe that the GOP would be wise to nominate Ron Paul and not Mitt Romney. The future of the nation is always a concern for presidential elections, but in this case, it goes beyond background rhetoric and becomes a very real and very active concern. Ron Paul is the only active candidate for president who seems to grasp the enormity of the financial threats to American security. He should be actively running for president and if the GOP option is not realistic, then start anew as an independent.

In any case, rather than splitting the vote, it would bring out voters who are likely to stay home otherwise, unable to take either form of bad medicine being offered by the animal-mascot parties.

Why did you list Ron Paul as the author? He isn’t. I thought I was going to read an op-ed by Paul, himself. I didn’t.

And this after I early voted today in the Tx primary. I voted for old man Paul— just an anti-Romney statement since I have to vote for The Willard in November. Once is enough if you don’t mind. Also gave Tea Party endorsed candidates Ted Cruz a vote vs Dewhurst and I like the young guy Rinaldi for state rep in my district too.

The two main points of Ron Paul’s Primary Campaign are as follows: 1.) FORCE THE GOP Elite TO HAVE AN OPEN CONVENTION; 2.) Allow the Delegates to vote for a dark horse who did not run in the Primary, such as Col. West of Florida.
___________

If Paul’s plan to cut 1 TRILLION dollars in year-to-year Federal spending, AND abolish 5 Federal Departments are the main reasons for Iowa Delegates to thaw out their opposition to Paul, then it might later be said that “as Iowa goes, so goes the Nation.”

BTW, “T” is for Texas, Tampa and those of us who are TAXED ENOUGH ALREADY!”
_____________

Here are some more reasons to vote for Ron Paul in the remaining Primary elections:

1.) It will drive the Liberal Agenda Media (LAM) and their Rove-style political consultants NUTS!

2.) It will deny statistical support to Romney.

3.) It could result in an OPEN Convention in Tampa.

4.) It would irritate the snot out of the GOP-E.

5.) It will put the GOP-E on notice that we think that their RINO Party has done NOTHING since we sent 89 TEA Party men and women to the US Congress in 2010.

6.) An OPEN Convention is our ONLY chance of a successful DUMP ROMNEY campaign.

7.) A superb, true “Dark Horse” Republican Nominee needs an OPEN Convention to replace Romney.

BTW, did I mention the sheer joy of watching the GOP-Endorsers publicly eating crow?
___________________

What the Liberal Agenda Media has never figured out, is that the 2012 National Election will be the last National Election where Campaign topics other than the National Debt will be debated again.

IOW, when the grim reaper of financial reality forces Federal Politicians in “both” parties to pay the US Bond owners before payments to our Entitlement recipients, it will terminate discussion on the main topics that we chatter about so far in 2012.

This National election is all about the money, your grandchildren’s descendant’s money.

Ron Paul is to old and to disliked as being different from what most voters picture a US President to look and sound like to win the Nomination.

HOWEVER, Ron Paul as an Anbody-but-Romney candidate in Tampa is our last, best chance to have an OPEN Convention in Tampa, and for that alone he deserves our Primary voter support.

Paul has soldiered on through this entire Primary Campaign. Let us help him establish a beachhead on the Shores of Tampa!

A “Dump Romney” action requires an OPEN Convention.

For those who object to Paul as a Nominee, then treat him as a tired old political soldier who will, with our help, win the Battle to achieve an OPEN Convention in Tampa.

THEN the delegates can win the War, and choose the best Nominee to solve our National Debt Problem.

Remember, this election is all about the money, your grandchildren’s descendant’s money - - - - .

What is the best way that you can use your Primary vote to help the financial future of YOUR descendants?

My goal is to defeat the insanity of Keyensian Economics in “both” of our very sorry political parties THIS YEAR!

This can be accomplished by choosing a stellar Dark Horse Nominee, such as R-Rep. West of Florida, to slaughter Obama in a November Landslide.

The key is to FORCE the GOP-E to allow for an OPEN Convention in Tampa. Without an OPEN Convention the SOS of INSANE Federal Spending will keep America on the same crowded track with Greece, and Kalifornia.

There are over 15, 000, 000, 000, 000 reasons why spending more money this year than was taken in during the previous year is an INSANE path to financial destruction.

Neither Obama or Romney have presented a plan to spend our Federal dollars in a non-insane manner.

For example, the GOP Elite have stood in line to endorse Romney, endorse “The Ryan Budget,” and compromise-away every opportunity to reduce Federal Spending.

I included the Ryan Budget, because Rep. Paul Ryan himself says that his “Budget” will balance in 30 YEARS !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

BTW, I added those exclamation points, because both you and I know that Ryan’s budget will NEVER balance, and thus never be a fact. The exclamation points are just for volume emphasis.
