Israeli defense personnel are watching closely as Syrian gunmen begin to carry their battle into Lebanese territory.

Earlier this month, the Knesset's Foreign Affairs and Defense Committee issued an authorization for a call up for as many as 22 IDF battalions to guard the northern and southern fronts after hearing testimony from security officials. Almost immediately, six battalions were activated.

Pro and anti-Syrian factions within the Lebanese population clashed in the streets of the Bab al-Tebbaneh neighborhood of Tripoli on Monday, firing assault rifles and rocket propelled grenades (RPGs).

At least five were killed and 100 wounded by the third day of sectarian violence in Lebanon's second-largest city.

The Lebanese army did nothing to interfere with the violence, instead taking a position several hundred meters away, according to a reporter for the Associated Press.

Cool, Israel can arm and assist anyone who is shooting at Hizbollah-—now if only Hamas would start something...

The Middle East knows the Jews are on the edge of slaughtering mass quantities of Islamonazis right now and the Muslims what's got sense know that Bibi has been in secret talks with Mitt Romney—talking about the GOP October Surprise when the IAF takes out Irans electronic infrastructure— Obama will fuss and look weak and his former rich Muslim patrons in Asia will turn their backs on his “gay” butt.

Err this article fails to mention something. The violence is happening because the lebanese police have arrested an al qaeda person who is a salafist and was engaging in terrorism accross the lebanese border, he was trained in afghanistan and has fought there and iraq. The people causing and threatening violencein that area are salafists who are not our friends are possibly if not certainly worse than hezbollah. What really needs to occur is that iran needs to be taken out, without iranian influence hezbollah will be a shell of its former self andwill quickly be for peace because they willnot have the sway of lebanese shiites anymore who alot support them because of fear and religious duty.
Then focus can be placed on eliminating the other salafist threat which are the types ofmuslims that fight globallywith their suicide bombs in recent years. Shiites are rather timid when not in timesof war.
