Newsweek Cover is a Gift to Romney (Calls Obama the First Gay President)
Newsweek ^ | May 14, 2012 | Jennifer Rubin

Posted on 05/14/2012 5:59:06 PM PDT by lbryce

Mitt and Ann Romney are exceptionally gracious people. Even though they are on the road they constantly have taken time to put pen to paper to write to Andrew Sullivan and Tina Brown expressing their gratitude for their efforts on behalf of the Romney campaign. Right Turn has come into possession of the letter. Well, actually we made it up, but this what they should be writing in recognition of the Newsweek cover that will go down as the single most helpful in-kind donation to the Romney camp this cycle.

Dear Mr. Sullivan and Ms. Brown:

Ann and I would like to thank you for the overly generous gift. We can not fully express our gratitude for the depiction of President Obama as the “first gay president” with a rainbow halo over his head — golly gee, we had a good guffaw over that. You just don’t know what it means to us.

Up front let me say, I share the horror of my liberal friends in the use of wedge social issues to inflame the electorate and divert attention from the big issues of our time. I mean you guys keep telling us, writing books about Kansas and so on, and giving conservatives the what-for over resorting to issues that are highly divisive and really more rhetorical than anything. (I mean, it’s not like the president is going to do anything about gay marriage.) So I know devoting a cover and major story on the subject of one of these hot-button, culture war issues was a great burden, leaving yourselves open to allegations of gross hypocrisy. I tip my hat to you.

Newsweek finally says something about Zero I wholeheartedly agree with. Although, I thought it was Carter who was the first.

Maybe I am too old, but I can remember 40 years ago where finding out someone was gay was a jaw dropper, and those crazy enough to admit it were treated like pariahs. Man things have changed.

I never dreamed 40 years later we would have a dog eating gay president.

You and me both, catfish. I remember years ago when I first heard utterings about homosexuality being accepted by society as normal.

I remember saying, “There’s no way on earth that this perversive behaviour would be considered normal. No way - people are not that stupid.”

Scary times - I’m glad my kids are raised and I’m on the other side of the hill. Now I just have to worry about my little grandbabies.

Our society and ancient Rome seem to have the same tragic story line. Our great society is dangerously close to being toppled into a cesspool of sleaze. Christians are being pesecuted while the deviants are in control.

I wish he was toast. Watch the punk POTUS pull out an October surprise. I’d almost bank on it.

Q: Why did Newsweek give Barry a halo?
A: Because a rainbow hijab was just too tacky.

“.....an October surprise.....”

How about a May, June or July one? Around Harrisburg, PA the price of gasoline has dropped about 30 cents per gallon in roughly 2 weeks. I don’t know how much Obummer may have had to do with it, but if OBL is any indication, Zero will not hesitate to TAKE credit for it!

A brilliant collection of gay flowers in bloom from all across the horticultural landscape dedicated to flaming effeminacy everywhere, the enshrinement of the presidential flora represented by Obama means more to those of his mixed race and particular demographic niche than any damn Nobel Prize could ever do.

Forty-some years ago, I was street savvy teenager. One day a guy asked me for a light, and when I held out my lighter, he took my hand in a most inappropriate way.

It took me a couple of seconds, but it quickly dawned on me that this guy was coming on to me. Let me tell you, it was the shock of my life. All I remember is yanking my hand back, and finding myself about a hundred yards away from him. I was so traumatized by what had just happened, I didn't even know how I got where I was.

I was fifteen, and had never even heard of homosexuality. Today, my seven year old knows what it is, and Mommy and I have never once had a conversation about it with him. Frikken screwed up culture...

Oh, he'll try, but it ain't gonna work. Americans from top to bottom, and from left to right, are hurting like nothing since the Great Depression. They will vote their pocketbooks, come November. Bank on it.

The marginally informed voter, who reads only the sports pages and traffic signs, will see this magazine cover in the doctor's office or the grocery store and as Deputy Mitch said in FIRST BLOOD: “. . .That freak? I knew there was something about that guy.”

When my grandmother was around 80 years old, her 85-year old sister explained to her what a lesbian was.

I'm not sure she ever recovered from the shock - LOL!
