SANFORD, Fla. — WFTV has learned charges against George Zimmerman could be getting more serious.
State prosecutors said Zimmerman, a neighborhood watchman, profiled and stalked 17-year-old Trayvon Martin before killing him, so the FBI is now looking into charging him with a hate crime.
Zimmerman admitted to killing Martin in February during a confrontation. However, he claims the shooting was in self-defense. He's facing a second-degree murder charge, which carries a maximum possible sentence of life in prison without the possibility of parole. But if Zimmerman is charged and found guilty of a federal hate crime involving murder, he could face the death penalty.
FBI investigators are actively questioning witnesses in the retreat at the Twin Lakes neighborhood, seeking evidence for a possible federal hate crime charge.

I watched the bail hearing and the detective could not give any “racial” spin to the use of the term “profiled”. When Z’s attorney pressed him on why they used that word, he didn’t know who chose the word and he said they could have used other words instead.
Under the direction of this Just Us Department, the law is not being enforced equally, but is being used only for political advantage, using subjective law, whimsically applied.
Justice is not the issue, here. In fact, the pursuit of Zimmerman has no end other than politics. They do not even care if he is totally exonerated on appeal, only that in the moment, they can make a show of persecuting him.
It is foul and corrupt abuse, and yet another reason to cite Holder for contempt of congress. Were it a Republican senate, he would deserve impeachment and conviction.
The FBI is becoming as corrupt and as despicable as the Department of “Justice” for which they manufacture “crimes” whenever so ordered. And I still remember the time when I held the FBI in high regard.
Since when does the FBI have standing to charge anyone for anything?
How in the hell is it a Federal thing?
I believe he was shot because he was bashing Zimmerman's head into the concrete.
You know what’s really scary? The comments to that article over at the Global Grind. The commentators there have already tried, convicted, and hung George Zimmerman for a hate crime when it was clearly self-defense.
Time to donate some more money to Zimmerman’s defense fund.

This has become a very important case in terms of what the DOJ is doing to George Zimmerman and what it is not doing to the NBPP and NOI. I am warped enough to tie this into the betrayal of Chen in China. Our government is projecting an ideology I cannot tolerate. Taken together with the class warfare, we are in more trouble than France, Spain or Greece right now.
This is not political correctness gone mad. This is being purposefully done to divide Americans and to foment hostilities.

Makes me think the state’s case is weak. The Feds can put pressure on to force a deal for lesser charge.

This is nothing more than political theater. If and when Zimmerman is acquitted angry blacks who have been led to believe this was a hate crime will riot similar to that which occurred in LA in 1992. And when that happens, the Obama admin and the complicit leftist media will be responsible for every death.
I guess this means Barry’s head goon, Eric the Holder, will be bringing yet another lawsuit against Sheriff Arpaio and the State of Arizona. Just throw it on the pile, Eric. You jackass.

And of course Dear Leaders puppet Holder (who has his plate full himself with Fast and Furious is glad to do whatever he can to muddy the waters) is willing to use the force and might of the DOJ toward these blatant and naked political ends.
I have always hated these ‘thought crimes’ - they require someone to accuse someone of thinking a particular way. It is the ultimate violation of free speech - that of curtailing free thought. How any judge with a conscious can continue to permit this, I’ll never understand.
Eric Holder will be out of office (with any luck) many moons before this case is decided. He might want to worry about his own prosecution for Fast & Furious and other crimes.
Once again, the Obama Riech declares war to gain political votes.

We did not see the prosecution of voter intimidation with the black kitty cats because a majority of those that voted said , via their votes, that they wanted a American hating muslim without any principles to be their god and messiah.
I could never imagine that there would be such a thing as a Thought Crime in the United States of America.

The current version of the federal hate crimes statute is unconstitutional, for the same reason that the Violence Against Women Act was ruled unconstitutional.
As signed by Obama, they got rid of the requirement that hate crimes must be tied to civil rights violations, and added homosexuals as a specially-protected federal class.
Now, the legality of federal hate crimes rest not on the 14th Amendment but rather on the Commerce Clause.
So it is now an attempt to give the federal government power to regulate local crime (while elevating certain types of victims to special status), which is a power not granted to the federal government under the Constitution.
Its a election year.
Obama irritated a number of blacks with his support of gay marriage. So now to appease the black voters, Obama and Holder are going to have the FBI indict Zimmerman with a hate crime.

"Zimmerman's father is white but his mother is from Peru. On his voter registration form, for example, Zimmerman checked off the "Hispanic" box. While police described him as "white" Zimmerman's own father calls his son a "Spanish-speaking minority."

Between the FBI and the SS of late, neither has had a shining news image. This will not help them, either. Do they not know or think about these things?
