Poll: Romney up, Obama down among women

(CNN) - Mitt Romney's support among registered voters who are women has grown and is slightly above President Barack Obama's, according to a poll released Monday.

The CBS News/New York Times poll shows Obama's support among female voters dropping five points over the last two months, from 49% to 44%. Romney is up 3 from 43% to 46% within that coveted demographic, according to the survey. The margin is still within the survey's sampling error, however.

Prior polling, including a mid-April CNN/ORC International poll, showed Obama ahead among women, with the CNN survey giving the president a 16-point advantage. That survey took place in the wake of a Democratic strategist and CNN contributor saying Romney's wife had "never worked a day in her life."

Monday's numbers fall within the survey's sampling error of plus or minus four percentage points.

What a shock. Women like a man who honours his wife. Even better, he makes a good living so that she has the privilege of being a stay-at-home mom.

Romney's family is real, not a made-for-the-media production. He has stood by Ann with all her challenges and struggles, and I doubt too many women overlook that fact.

Furthermore, I suspect that normal women want a normal strong man, not a weaselly wuss who minces and prances and allows himself to be run by a bull-headed fishwife with an ugly mouth.

Obama's shameless pandering to the homosexuals is going to carry a heavy toll for both him and his fellow Democrats this November.

People often talk about not wanting to admit they aren't going to vote for Obama for fear of being thought a racist by family and friends. Well that goes double for homosexuals. Nobody's going to risk their career by engaging in what might be perceived as homosexual-bashing at the office water cooler. However, the majority of decent people, without being hateful, hold that marriage should only be between a man and a woman and they are going to make their feelings known in November - just have they have in the other 31 or so state votes on the subject that have been held over the past years.

What the mainstream media are not quick to tell you is that while homosexual marriage has been "legalized" in many states by legislatures or court rulings, every single time the issue has been put directly to the voters however, the people have ALWAYS voted to uphold the traditional definition of marriage between a man and a woman only.

So while this issue might gain Obama and the Democrats a lot of fawning and campaign contributions in Hollywood and Manhattan, this issue is a LOSER in mainstream America.

I am now thinking a double-digit landslide win by Romney is not only possible this November but now very likely.

Romney leads among men and among women. Obama leads among the undecideds and the dead. It will come down to the number of dead and fictional voters in November - and the SEIU people counting the ballots.

I think the punk POTUS is throwing a hail Mary hoping to deflect the focus off his failed economic polices.

“Gender Gap?”

Yes. Democrats historically have a hard time attracting male voters.

Even worse for his female contingent, Obama came out of the closet this week.

Gotta wonder what his wife things about that especially? And all those single women who want abortions. Who have absolutely been, well, ATTRACTED to Obama because he likes to end pregnancies with the death of the baby. (still don’t understand that)

How’s girl expected to swoon, over a gay guy? I mean, really. Besides, Romney has much better hair.

“He has stood by Ann with all her challenges and struggles, and I doubt too many women overlook that fact.”

Good point. My wife saw her speak not long ago and was deeply impressed not only by her inner personal strength but also her humility and devotion to family. A remarkable woman.

“CBS News/New York Times poll”

You have to make an allowance for bias. Romney is very likely polling quite a bit higher than the reported numbers.

Obama has the transgendered vote locked up. It’s the others he has a problem with.

I don’t believe Obama has even been down on a woman.

CNN can try spinning this as Romney only “slightly ahead” of 0bama all day long. The fact is that Romney has surged 18 points in just the last month to take the lead in the women’s vote.

Seeing these numbers, Team 0bama has to be crapping their collective “I’ve got 2 dads” pants. This November, they are toast.

We are going to be stuck with Romney after all. Good God we had such a great opportunity to have a real great conservative and the GOPe screwed up big time. Now whoever wins will be a disaster. This election will be the worst in history. I don’t think there has been another time in history where it did not make any difference which party wins. Liberal vs. Liberal this round. Virgil Goode should be supported by everyone who is conservative!!!! We are the majority after all.
