You have that right. I live on the fringes of Memphis, between Raleigh and Frayser, out near the new Niki plant. Neighbor hood is being impacted by OUT SIDE forces with home robberies in the drive ways, smash and grabs from cars. They are youths with an older mentor, do it, and on foot or regular bikes. LOL, to stupid to even drop the loot.
Neighborhood is quiet except for this going on, we installed an up graded home alarm, and make sure the 12 gauge is where we can get it, as we are older, and move slower, it was the wisest choice of weapon....dead bolts on bdrm doors and attic, plus easy access to roof windows if need be.
Neither of us is afraid to use the weapon. Hubby is Ret. Senior Chief, I CCW a Tauraus Ultra Lite revolver. 12 gauge is street legal, with the shortest barrel and a pistol grip. And at my being only 5 ft I only have to draw it to center mass and aim my body. Even with out my glasses I am not likely to miss. And my CCW instructor an former LEO said to empty the chamber. I do as instructed per with my weapons. Including locking them up in the gun safe when the small grands and great grands are around.
Any congress critter or president who FAILS to keep faith with the Military, WON’T keep faith with you.
