A medical report compiled by the family physician of accused Trayvon Martin murderer George Zimmerman and obtained exclusively by ABC News found that Zimmerman was diagnosed with a "closed fracture" of his nose, a pair of black eyes, two lacerations to the back of his head and a minor back injury the day after he fatally shot Martin during an alleged altercation.
Zimmerman faces a second degree murder charge for the Feb. 26 shooting that left the unarmed 17-year-old high school junior dead. Zimmerman has claimed self defense in what he described as a life and death struggle that Martin initiated by accosting him, punching him in the face, then repeatedly bashing his head into the pavement.
Also today, a trove of documents are being examined by lawyers for both the defense and prosecution as part of discovery in Zimmerman's trial -- including 67 CDs worth of documents, video of Martin on the night of the shooting, his autopsy report and videos of Zimmerman's questioning by police.
Zimmerman's three-page medical report is included in those documents that the defense could use as evidence.

The morning after the shooting, on Feb. 27, Zimmerman sought treatment at the offices of a general physician at a family practice near Sanford, Fla. The doctor notes Zimmerman sought an appointment to get legal clearance to return to work.

I would say that if anyone here is ever involved in an incident like this, anything from a mugging to defending yourself with your firearm, get medical attention for any injuries so that it’s officially documented by authorities. You never know what fact will help you out when the media is out to crucify non-blacks and conservatives at any cost.

I know this is a question on a minor point...and I might have missed it, but: Did anyone ever find those skittles and iced tea that Trayvon claims he went to buy? They keep referring to them, but I don’t recall anyone actually finding them and holding them as evidence. I have heard that “skittles” is a street slang term for prescription drugs. So, was it really candy he went to get...or was he looking to find some drugs, maybe from a home he was looking to enter or something?
We would be better off if the state of Florida, prosecuted NO ONE, back in March. Let the race-baiters riots occur IN MARCH. Now, the timetable to riots is in the hands of Obama cronies and the MSM. The riots will conveniently lead up to and be timed before the Nov. election is my guess.
Some of us have been through this mess with Bernard Goetz. Luckily, Goetz survived as will Zimmerman.

I think it's time to write a law that requires every single US citizen to bear arms.
The Republican governor of Florida is behind this show trial. I hope both he and the special prosecutor lose their jobs over this political stupidity and flagrant abuse of the justice system.

Yes, it was in the affidavit of probable cause. At the bond hearing, it was even stated that he paid for them.

He also had the concrete walkway that he was trying to beat George Zimmerman’s brains out against. It was essentially a stationary, quite lethal, club. IOW, Martin was armed with a lethal weapon and using it to kilo Zimmerman.
Your right. He probably should have stayed out of it. I believe his decision was based on the race tensions. Time(which is what he bought) tends to lessen the outrage and memories of those in society. As for being a defendant, time is your friend. The longer you can drag things out, the better chances you have a positive outcome.. look at casey. Jose had the case for three years before it went to trial. That was his goal(he’s a friend of mine).

If they were at the site where the beating took place, then it is inconclusive. However, if, as has been stipulated elsewhere, they had been placed some distance from the place of attack, then that would certainly substantiate George's claim that Martin had been stalking him! Why would Martin have put them down other than an expectation of a physical confrontation.

This entire prosecution has been far more evil than just "patently stupid."
Since there is NO WAY to keep anyone from getting a weapon that wants one, and at 20 feet or less a blade can be just a deadly as a gun if someone already has intent, a free society should be armed.period.As a matter of fact, most convicts should have their right to self defense restored upon release. If they are still a danger to society, don’t release them. Only those convicted of the most violent crimes should be monitored upon release. Or maybe they should not be released.

I’ve asked several times if anyone has seen convenience store security footage and/or a cash register tape with the Skittles and IT transaction. Nothing yet.
I did not intend to state that it had been legally stipulated. On the forums someone stated that the skittles and iced tea were left up against a building behind some bushes; i.e., secreted. I have no idea whether this post represented the truth. I would reiterate that the location of the items being carried by Martin prior to the violence might have a strong bearing on the case.
Oh oh. If the Medical report was in the documents disclosed by the prosecution, the State may be in big trouble. It appears they violated Zimmerman’s rights by charging him even though they had the evidence corroborating Zimmerman’s justification defense. (Assuming the medical report is credible)

Gilbreath also said Zimmerman’s claim that Martin was slamming his head against the sidewalk just before he shot the teenager was “not consistent with the evidence we found.” He gave no details.

Good point. Presumably, we will find out sooner or later. And if he was carrying the can of iced tea, he WAS armed.
The funeral director lied...
The funeral director who oversaw slain teenager Trayvon Martin’s burial says the body bore no signs of a fight.
Richard Kurtz says there were no notable marks on Martin’s hands, face or body other than the gunshot wound that killed him. Kurtz says he expected to see some marks if Martin had been in a fight.
