Just two weeks ago, the battle for the GOP nomination for the U.S. Senate seat in Nebraska was between state Attorney General Jim Bruning and state Treasurer Don Stenburg. Neither inspired the growing base of conservative voters. They were, to be charitable, standard conservative-ish career politicians. Mama Grizzly Sarah Palin shook up the race with a late endorsement of state Senator Debby Fischer. It made all the difference.
I follow politics very closely, yet I hadn't heard of the Fischer candidacy until Palin's endorsement. National tea party groups like FreedomWorks had put all their resources behind Stenburg, with nary a thought about Fischer. A good reminder that these groups aren't as plugged into the grassroots as they like to claim.

YAHOO!!!!!
Don’t know anything about her, but how does she stack up against Kerrey?
The GOP-e candidate who came in second, as well as DeMint (who had endorsed the 3rd placed finisher) immediately endorsed her and said now is the time for all republicans to get behind her.
I think Sarah deserves another shot at the VP spot. How much more can she be vetted? Every stone has been overturned and every lie told...........
Interesting proposal.
“Be fearless. Have courage. Stand for something. “
Amen Brother!
I still like him, but, I’m a little disappointed in Jim DeMint. He can make endorsements and put his 2 cents worth of his opinion in when asked, but he did not have the guts to run in 2012. That was a loss for the Conservative movement.
Palin/Romney would work. Romney could be a half way decent VP. And in my opinion a lousy President.
Did Rove just crap in his nickers?
......former Arkansas Gov. Mike Huckabee supported Bruning, who maintained a fundraising and organizational lead.....

Huckabee: Another one, like DeMint, who did not have the guts to run this year. I’m glad Huckabee’s guy lost and DeMint’s dude came in third with only 19%. Ha! Sarah kicked butt.
Sarah would make an excellent Energy Secretary under Romney if given a clear mandate (and free reign) to get America truly energy independent in 8 years.
Romney, Chosen Loser by the DNC, RNME, and GOPe,
should pull out and save America.
But Romney is for ... Romney.
Glad to hear Palin still wields some serious clout in the GOP. Question is.. will Fischer pull off the win in November? This state was considered an easy pickup for the GOP. Is it still?
She is such a breath of fresh air. She’s positive, has faith, is solid in her Conservative convictions...she truly is Reagan’s heir.
Good for them- that's how it's supposed to be done. Dick Lugar should be taking notes.
Media news rooms and liberal opinion writers must be completely confused on how to spin this..
Harry Reid said “the TEA Party will disappear as the economy improves.”
The GOP is going to be nervous this fall having to fight for a few states that would have been easy wins (Indiana, Nebraska and maybe Utah). But I think they are probably good bets to win.
This last minute booster shot for conservatives in primary races is what Palin seems to excel in. I hope this one pays off.
see tagline ...
Just call him Mr Stinky Drawers!
Drudge STILL hasn’t picked this up!
I see the GOP building a good team of conservative women. And out of that team I hope we will find the first woman president.
I hope that Sarah Palin’s endorsement of Ted Cruz in the Texas Senatorial Contest (against David Dewhurst) has the same positive result as did her Nebraska endorsement of Fischer.
Would imagine she measures up like Scott Walker did to Tom Barret when he became Gov of Wisconsin...same party, different party, machs nicht - a positive difference is a positive difference.
Demint for VP.
...... as long as they both win in November.
It is 9:00am and Drudge still is keeping it off his site, he has a huge banner about a Romney poll in NC.
I think we can assume that Drudge is dropping the gauntlet against conservatives and the Palin wing of the Romney party.
He is shooting the bird at us, the gloves are off.
Don’t get angry at the RINO/GOP...
take it over.
Rush has been on fire today about it! He also made a comment a few minutes ago - “the only war against women the Republicans have been engaged in is the establishment Republican’s war against Sarah Palin!” He’s calling it like it is!
No way! She wouldn’t be interested.
However, I wouldn’t be so sure if the nominee was Newt! Voters acted ‘stupidly’ - it is almost unforgivable, IMO.
Thanks for posting that - and who did Sarah vote for? He should have pumped that up back then!
I haven’t been to Drudge since Bloody Thursday - so I’m not surprise to read he still has his head in the Romney hole. He lost credibility and he can’t get that back - he works now by the orders of others.
Aint dead here either!

“Romney/West 2012.”
Why would you want LTC West to sully his reputation by being associated with that total liberal, cultic, flip flopper Romney?
Besides, Romney has a monumental ego. He will only pick someone who can’t outshine him.....which is going to be difficult in that just about anybody “outshines” him!
