Quietly, the Republican Party is embracing gays (barf alert)

WASHINGTON -- A quiet transformation is taking place in the Republican Party, which has begun to embrace openly gay candidates - and among gay Republicans, who now feel more comfortable speaking out in a party that may have accepted them but didn't always show it.

While differences still exist, the party is on the cusp of a generational shift in which the longtime foes of gay rights are replaced by younger party leaders who are more accepting.

"It's an exponential change from a few years ago," said former Republican Rep. Jim Kolbe. "It's happening, and it's going to continue to happen." .
.
.
Tisei does support same-sex marriage, and he said party leaders knew that from the beginning of his campaign for Congress.

"I don't agree with the party platform, but that doesn't mean I'm not a good Republican," Tisei said.

The National Republican Congressional Committee has designated Tisei as a "Young Gun," meaning he's on the national party's radar and can expect to get more resources for his campaign. Committee Chairman Rep. Pete Sessions of Texas said Tisei "has met organizational and fundraising benchmarks and has established himself as a strong contender."
.
.
.
Surrounded by colleagues from both parties at a news conference earlier this month, Wyatt, a 27-year-old Air Force veteran, denounced Republican-sponsored legislation that would have prohibited public schools from discussing sexual orientation in the classroom, which was known in Missouri and other states as a "don't say gay" bill. But Wyatt wasn't finished. In the same news conference, he came out, making him the only openly gay Republican state legislator in office in the country.

Regardless of Willard's "clarification" on supporting homo adoption and "stance" on homo marriage - his base of support (RNC) is fully onboard with all of it.

At least, the article highlights the importance of resisting the homo-agenda at ALL levels of government and through communication with your [R] reps as well as the ballot box. Looks like the RNC is already convinced that adding homo "rights" to the [R] national platform is just a matter of time. It is and always has been an AGENDA to: grant special citizen status to a group of mentally ill people which identifies itself soley by its commission of perverted an unnatural sexual acts, indoctrinate all children into accepting their perversion as normal and desirable, and silence any and all critics who dissent or seek to expose them for who they are.

They better hope there are a lot of gays out there because they'll lose more conservatives than they can afford.

A law to allow same-sex marriage in New York wouldn't have passed last year if not for four Republican state senators.

Romney Republicans, every one of them.

The RNC FORGOT 2006. We were dragged to massive defeat by a homosexual congresscritter, a homosexual senator and a homosexual RNC chairman.

The American people do not vote for the Republican party when we appear to be taken over by homosexuals.

We really need to dump the RNC ~

Are they embracing them from the front or the back?

Oh, baloney. The public as a whole is rejecting same-sex marriage, and most Republicans do too. What a bunch of cr@p.

This is oxymoronic. If you embrace gays, what Republican label applies? It’s like saying virgin means losing your virginity.

Orwell was right: war is peace, Republican is gay, Democrate is straight?

It’s another step in denial and linguistic cowardice. There is no integrity whatsoever but politics to the death or death by politics.

Tisei will lose because the base won’t vote for him. I believe most conservatives are not now willing to embrace the sodomy nor will they be willing to do that in the future.

Unfortunately, the young are being indoctrinated in school and college, NOT TO CARE one way or the other. This leaves the if you are not against us you MUST be for us.

Most kids echo the “if it doesn’t hurt me it doesn’t matter” philosophy. NOTICE the change from ‘if it doesn’t hurt ANYONE it doesn’t matter.

Slick slippery slope. If it worked in Sodom, Satan remembers. People have not changed and the psychology used throughout history will indeed work. Just be patient, a tiny step at a time, quietly, smoothly, innocuously.

In other words, we are going NWO, we are going to embrace whatever there is out there, both trash and good, mix it, and call it good.

Where is the healthy partisan sorting of the good stuff from the bad stuff? Do we have surrendered on Americans and the American children? This is total demoralization.

There is no point whatsoever to stick with limp handed people like these. There is no point to feed socialist moneys into bankruptcy schemes that allow the parties to keep acting bankruptedly.

This pseudo-forgiveness which really is giving up and continuing for the worst is catastrophic. Forget them fixing the budget, the economy or ANY THING.

An opposition is vital.

Which is just one more point of failure for Mitt Romney.

Have we surrendered on Americans and the American children?

Yes, the Republican party is embracing gays, maybe not gay marriage, but gays and civil unions. The difference between gay marriage and civil unions is a very important matter of semantics. If the left is allowed to redefine the term, “marriage”, they will use it as a precedent to re-interpret the law and the constitution.

Words have meaning and legal terms use specific meanings of words, not “evolved” meanings of words. Obama’s explanation of his “evolved” position went right over the heads of most Republicans. Obama believes that as the language evolves, the law should evolve, including the constitution.

Just say no to gay marriage, and I don’t care what gays do in their private lives.

Yeah, thank Ann Coulter for coddling with the very gays who are jealous of her and want her hanging from a rope. Why would a woman trust men who have given up on chivalry?

When her father passed away, she made a eulogy about this chivalrous father of hers. What is wrong with these people?
