SACRIFICIAL SCAMS

May 16, 2012
The real class warfare in this country isn't rich vs. poor, it's government employees vs. we, the taxpayers, who pay their salaries.

Working for the government is supposed to be a trade-off: You can't be fired and don't have to exert yourself, but you will receive smaller remuneration than in the private sector, where layoffs are common (especially in the Obama economy!). Instead, government jobs are safe, secure, pressure-free -- and now, amazingly lucrative!

Whether it's in Wisconsin, Illinois, California or the nation's capital, today's public sector workers expect to do little or no work (I'm not counting partying in Las Vegas as "work"), and then be lavishly compensated. Often, the only heavy lifting they do all week is picking up their paychecks.

When government employees mobbed the state capitol in Wisconsin last year, the upside was: They got to bully people. The downside: Voters finally found out what these public servants were being paid.

Their compensation included not only straight salary, but also lavish overtime benefits, pensions, health care plans, sick days and vacation time (most of which they spent protesting).

The unions thought they could fight back against Gov. Scott Walker's tiny rollbacks without anyone finding out the details. Most people saw what public employees were getting and assumed it was a misprint.

Two years ago, seven bus drivers in Madison, Wis., made more than $100,000 a year.

A few years before that, we found out that the city manager of little Bell, Calif. -- per capita annual income $24,800 -- was making $787,637, or including benefits: $1.5 million a year. The chief of police was getting $457,000 a year -- $770,046 counting benefits -- making him the first chief of police to commit highway robbery on the job. The assistant city manager was taking home $376,288 per year, for a total compensation package of $845,960.

Hear here! Anybody can post her dribble if they want! (And it is mostly drivel.)

That's the point. YOU get to decide whether or not the content is drivel or not, not someone else. The hallmark of most liberals is they don't think or form their own opinions, they parrot the thoughts of those that think for them. They aren't smart enough to form their own opinions.

The worst customer is the guy who doesn't pay for the product ~ there are millions of them in this country.

No, the worst customer is the one who takes your hard-earned money by force when you don't want their product in the first place.

You pay postage voluntarily ~ when you mail things. When you receive delivery you pay nothing.

Over a number of years I tired of your constant, chronic whining when you persisted in complaining about a service you didn't pay for ~ not even with your taxes.

BTW, I think you need a trip to the fetid swamps where mosquitos are raised.

Somebody has to bait them and it might as well be you!

It appears you are a perfect example of why regular people hate government drones. You deserve every bit of misery you claimed has been heaped upon your poor widdle head.

You fail to understand basic principles of equity, so why are you posting on a Conservative board and insulting postal workers and postal retirees. Did we let a bird make a nest in your mailbox or something?

I am so sure you cheat on your postage it's palpable in your every comment.

Cheat? You bet I do! I FedEx ALL my important mail because you are a bunch of worthless Government Union grifters that lose stuff. If it positively, has to be there PERIOD I steer well clear of you. I haven't bought a stamp in years, yet you punks FILL my mailbox with crap on a daily basis. I have no use for you.

That's what i thought ~ you don't pay postage ~ which pays for the operation of the Post Office but you still find time to kvetch and moan about the service you get for free.

Like I said you people are all sickos and not very respectful of the US Constitution.

I"ve made the Chicoms and the old Soviet Union pay postage ~ and they didn't complain ~ they knew!

You know, usually, I see you post something completely bizarre, but I laugh and shrug you off as a utterly weird (but harmless) kook.

But every now and again you post something that makes me realize they should NEVER let you out in public.

Like the above.

Cyber Liberty is CHEATING on his postage and he's a SICKO and disrespectful of the Constitution if he does not buy stamps??!??!?

This is Mandatory Health Insurance Obama Thought. This goes against every single concept of what it is to ba a free American.

The Constitution states in Article I, Section 8, Clause 7 that Congress is empowered to "establish Post Offices and post Roads".

Nowhere does it say purchasing stamps is mandatory. Nowhere is it implied if you don't buy stamps, that you are 'cheating', so long as you do not mail something.

Dude, you are Cliff Clavin in the flesh, only more dangerous.

Oh, and Cyber Liberty pays plenty to your fat, bloated, patronage-filled useless institution. He pays Federal taxes.

Oh woe, the constitutional postal service actually delivers advertising mail (pre sorted by the mailer) that pays for the favor. That’s the grief of capitalism I suppose.

There used to be a tar baby graphic people would put up when engaging in unwinable (spell check says thats not a word) discussions. We need one for what’s-his-name.

Federal workers are OVER COMPENSATED, no matter what job they have.

There may be some like this (and ARE for we've seen the data) but I can assure you that the grunts in the force back in MY day, weren't!

We were the ones who...

Whipped

Inflation

Now!

getting hardly any raise at all when everyone else in the country was getting double digit yearly increases.

We never DID recover from that.

We put lots more money of our own into our retirement system, too. I worked for the Navy Department, and they tend to have a MUCH lower pay scale that anything else in gov't I've seen.

Well just doggone lazz, if you have a dispute with the Founders on the language they put in the Constitution you should take it up with them ~ get yourself an amendment.

BTW, postage stamps ~ the modern kind on paper with adhesive, etc. ~ were invented in 1840. Their intent was to shift the cost burden from the recipients to the senders. The idea swept the world.

Regarding yanking chains, every time I find somebody who still believes the USPS draws down on taxes I see a chain so I yank it.

Every now and then I find somebody who clean plum forgets that senders pay postage ~

Regarding sending mail via FedEx, you can do that if you want but the company has to pay a substantial surcharge for the privilege of carrying it ~ and that is required by the Private Express Statutes, not by USPS. They were originally passed in 1792!

There go those Founders again, doing something quixotic and not at all understandable by anyone, least of all Freepers, some of whom are ON TOP OF THIS STUFF like pangolins on a termite mound, and some of whom are just lying around the Postal Pond like fat polar bears waiting for a seal to fall out of the sky.

Now about paying taxes to USPS ~ show me Lazz, show me where you or anybody pays taxes to USPS.

THEY DIDN'T MANDATE PEOPLE BUY STAMPS ANYWHERE.

Lord.

While I am wrong about taxes, that stopped in 1970, YOU ARE A COMPLETE A&& FOR THINKING PEOPLE 'CHEAT' BY NOT BUYING A CERTAIN MINIMUM OF STAMPS.

You are EVERY BIT as insane as Pelosi, Obama, and Reid. EVERY BIT.

You should not be allowed in public. Maybe if you were fitted with a shock collar, okay. Every time you expressed a desire for people to be forced into a purchase transaction, we could drill yer a&& with 120 volts.
