What do think the Message was from Avengers Movie?
Posted on 05/16/2012 6:30:54 PM PDT by TNoldman
I saw the Avengers Movie with some family on Mother's Day.
I saw "Obama" as the evil one wanting to end freedom for the general population as freedom is bad. The Evil One wanted the Good Guys (Captain America, Hulk, Thor etc) to spend their time fighting each other.
When Captain America was looking for his "outfit" he went to a museum and found the Stars and Stripes on display. He got it and said - "This is not as popular as it once was!"
When the Good Guys joined to fight evil - they could not be stopped.
At the end when the evil one was exiled to a space platform - he said - "We can never take their freedom when they join together to resist".

I would be shocked if such a message were deliberately implied by Hollywood.

What about at the end when it showed a Democrat Senator trying to blame the heroes and make them responsible for all the damage.

The message for me, is that I have to find a woman that's conservative and looks like Scarlett JoHansson

No matter what they spout in public, they know, undeniably, that good must always triumph over evil. And some of the best stories from Hollywood rely on that theme.
To: TNoldman
I’ve not yet seen the movie. I’m hoping to see it this weekend.

Dr. Banner may be really, really smart but he’s still not smart enough to wear stretchy pants?

Well, if you're crazy, so am I. We saw the movie the opening weekend, and I loved it (the wife, not so much).
However, we both noticed the pro-freedom and pro-American messages as did you, and were pleasantly surprised. Definitely not the usual Hollywood liberal propaganda.

DR Banner needs to reach through the universal barrier and borrow some stretchy clothes from the Fantastic Four.

My niece really liked Captain America. She thought his outlook, sense of duty and sacrifice really made him stand out amongst the other heroes. I had to agree. Really good character; well written and acted.
Great movie.
