Breaking News: Liberal Politicians and Now Judges Continue Attacks on Bachmann
bachmann.house.gov ^ | 5/18/2012 | Michele Bachmann

Posted on 05/18/2012 9:51:41 AM PDT by Syncro

Dear Fellow Conservative,

I'm reaching out to you today because I
need your support to continue fighting in the U.S. House of Representatives
against President Obama's big government agenda.

A major development has just occurred in my race for the U.S. House of Representatives
and I'm asking for your immediate help...

...You see, in retaliation for repeatedly standing up to President Obama on the national stage,
liberal judges have redrawn the lines of my Minnesota Congressional District to
try and wipe me off of the political map once and for all.

Their bias was so obvious they even gerrymandered my home --
where my wonderful husband Marcus and I live –- entirely out of my District and
placed it into one held by a six-term Democrat incumbent!

My friend, want you to know that I am taking every necessary step to fight back against
this political attack on my re-election campaign.

After all, the outcome of this November's elections will
determine whether we imprison our children to a future of massive federal debt,
crippling tax rates, unconstitutional mandates like Obamacare, and the building
threat of nuclear attack from rogue nations like Iran...

-- OR --

...We rise up to END President
Obama's spending spree and RESTORE honor to America's name across the globe.

That's why I decided to sidestep this blatant attack and announced that
I will run in the district I've spent my life connected to.

Still, I know the road ahead will not be easy.

As the TEA Party Caucus Chairwoman
in the U.S. House and one of President Obama's sharpest critics, the
Democrats are licking their chops over Minnesota's new political map and will
spend MILLIONS to defeat me.

Make no mistake, this November's election is our very last
legislative "exit ramp"before President Barack Obama's radical healthcare
takeover becomes a permanent scar on America's landscape.

And with New York liberals like the Democratic
Congressional Campaign Committee Chairman Steve Israel already predicting a
25-seat gain for the Democrats in the House, retaking the majority and
reinstalling Nancy Pelosi, you and I cannot afford to lose competitive races
like mine!

My friend, if President Obama wins a second term and is armed
with a Democrat Majority Congress, the results will be catastrophic:

I know we both
agree this is a future we must avoid at all costs!

My friend, this is
what I staked my career and reputation on to run for President and why I'm
running for re-election in Minnesota's newly drawn 6th District.

With your prayers and support, I will continue to use my
position on the House Finance Committee to lead the charge to repeal Dodd-Frank
legislation from around the necks of small bankers and, by extension, job
creators.

I will sound the alarm on CNN, Fox News, the networks
and other news outlets across the country about President Obama's dangerous
foreign policy actions.

And I will keep up the fight to defund and fully
repeal the unconstitutional Obamacare mandate before it devastates America's
first-rate medical system!

But, in order to continue fighting for you, I
first must win re-election in Minnesota's new 6th District. That's why I need
your URGENT support today!

You and I must NOT allow the
courts to defeat me by moving me out of my District at such a pivotal election.

In fact, to hand the Obama Democrats this victory now would be to
destroy all we have built over these last six years.

I got this in an email and it referenced her website, but it only allowed joining or donating, so I linked this to her gov/house website.

I looked back at her website, and it came up with info instead of two lame choices.

This is Her Website, hopefully it opens properly.

What a bunch of dirt tricks, huh?

BTW, purposefully removed all links to fund raising, as we are in a Freepathon to keep FR up and running.

If anyone has extra money after donating to FR, click on the link and you can give some money to her efforts.

Her mistake was backing down. Nothing wrong with doing what she did.

Why is a judge deciding the boundaries? I thought that was only in the deep south and a few other states that were deemed to have a history of racial gerrymandering at the time the CRA was passed back in the 60’s.

I’m sorry, Rep. Bachmann, but this is the way politics is played. I’m tired of whiny politician on either side complaining when they get screwed on the redistricting. Want to keep your seat? Have your state population grow at a rate faster than the rest of the country OR have your party in charge when the year ends in 0. Otherwise, expect the worst. By the way, it is not YOUR seat. IF YOU THINK IT IS, then it is time to go.

liberal judges have redrawn the lines of my Minnesota Congressional District

What is this "my" stuff? The district does not belong to you Michele. It belongs, and always will, to your constituents. Put properly, it is "the congressional district filled with constituents I have the pleasure of representing."

Where did she use the phrase “my seat”?

Just as you say “the congressional district filled with constituents I have the pleasure of sharing with?”, right? Shame on her for being both succinct and correct in her phrasing when she could’ve been painfully panderly and verbose instead!

The fact that she is whining about the gerrymandering and that it is unfair to put her in a D-heavy district instead of her old district conveys a sense that the 6th district belongs to her.

At minimum the possession should be termed, “our district.”

Irony is a good word, but “You know what word I’m not comfortable with? Nuance. It’s not a real word. Like gesture. Gesture’s a real word. With gesture you know where you stand. But nuance? I don’t know. Maybe I’m wrong.”

First of all, To: "all:"

Daily KOS is not quoting me, I don't know where that quote came from.

kos, the irony in your posts is not nuanced.

First, I am not from the Daily KOS. If you look up my FR history you will know that. My screen name is from Thaddeus Kosciusko, a Polish-American Revolutionary War hero.

Second, search engines can be your friend. I answered yours and Sun's nonsensical replies with quotes from the movie "Diner". Look it up.

Third, I am being principled in my critique of Rep. Bachmann. I was happy when the GOP-lead PA assembly change Altmire's district so that he would have to go against Critz (Murtha's old buddy). Should I be offended when the shoe is on the other foot? If you want to debate the merits or lack of merits in my position fine, but if you want to use nonsense replies to, well I can do the same.

Well you’re “immature” nitpicking on Bachmann’s words promted what you call “nonsensical replies”

It’s not my job to research your out of context quotes.

If you want to be understood, be clear.

You can’t be Quidam.

You can’t be Quidam.

No I am not. I just don't think my comments called for a San Fran Nan comparison. And what I said was I don't like it when either side whines and moans about how the opposition is playing unfair with redistricting. For Pete's sake, they should know the political game is played that way.

OK, so maybe the comment about HER district was a little nitpicky, but that was my second point. And I'm not the only one who noticed that. Either way, it is not immature to point it out, whereas to equate a FReeper with NP for no reason than you disagree with them is immature.

Well I made no such comparison. Just to be clear.

You might see some humor in my posts to you if you chill out a bit.

My first post to you was pointing the irony in you calling someone ELSE immature.

Agreed.

Likewise.

My first post to you was pointing the irony in you calling someone ELSE immature.

I just didn't understand why you thought it ironic, as I did not believe that I was being immature. So your comment came completely out of the blue, and I missed its humor. I tried to be humorous in response, but I guess not everyone has my sense of humor. Oh, well, misunderstanding happen.

Peace.
