To: Protect the Bill of Rights
"You breed em, you feed em."
There is part of me that wants to do exactly what this guy did. Breed as much as possible and let the state worry about raising them.
The smarter part of me tells me that unless I'm around to teach them values, that they won't really be my descendents.
So what to do about this guy? I'm not in favor of letting his children starve.
- Option 1: Forced adoptions. This is a case where if he can't feed the children, then the state should take them away and put them in foster homes and extinquish all of his rights to them. But what about the mom's rights? The moms share responsibility. If the mom can feed them without his support, then the mom can keep them. If the mom can feed them they certainly aren't entitled to state support. If the mom can't feed
- Option 2: Forced sterilization. A bizarre scenario, but this guy is clearly not a responsible individual.
- Option 3: why is the guy making minimum wage? He is apparently working. Is it because the system rakes dad's over the coals, sends them to prison and destroys their ability to earn a decent wage? If so, that needs to be looked at. I doubt this guy could afford 30 kids no matter what he did, but if the state is making it harder for him, that needs to change.

Actually, I was thinking along the lines of forced amputation...
