The credibility of Massachusetts Democratic Senate candidate Elizabeth Warren took another hit today as Boston radio talk show host Howie Carr released evidence that appears to confirm Ms. Warren may have plagiarized at least three of the five recipes she submitted to the 1984 Pow Wow Chow cookbook edited by her cousin Candy Rowsey. Two of the possibly plagiarized recipes, said in the Pow Wow Chow cookbook to have been passed down through generations of Oklahoma Native American members of the Cherokee tribe, are described in a New York Times News Service story as originating at Le Pavilion, a fabulously expensive French restaurant in Manhattan. The dishes were said to be particular favorites of the Duke and Duchess of Windsor and Cole Porter. The two recipes, "Cold Omelets with Crab Meat" and "Crab with Tomato Mayonnaise Dressing," appear in an article titled “Cold Omelets with Crab Meat,” written by Pierre Franey of the New York Times News Service that was published in the August 22, 1979 edition of the Virgin Islands Daily News, a copy of which can be seen here. Ms. Warren’s 1984 recipe for Crab with Tomato Mayonnaise Dressing is a word-for-word copy of Mr. Franey’s 1979 recipe. Mrs. Warren’s 1984 recipe for Cold Omelets with Crab Meat contains all four of the ingredients listed in Mr. Franey’s 1979 recipe in the exact same portion but lists five additional ingredients. More significantly, her instructions are virtually a word for word copy of Mr. Franey’s instructions from this 1979 article. Both

Don’t forget “The Outlaw Josey Wales” where Clint Eastwood embarked on a murderous mission of revenge when his family was wiped out by marauding crustaceans!! They nearly got his horse.

Perhaps her recipe calls for a, shall we say, different kind of crabs.

I don’t know any Cherokee who ate crab meat, especially in Oklahoma.

You're kidding. With all that ocean front property in OK?

They were? See! This is what happens when you skip biology class in high school! Let this be a lesson to all high school students to attend each and every biology class unless you want to wind up like me...not knowing a crab from a crawdad. I did have a good excuse for missing class. I was showing my girlfriend how nobody could see you if you laid down on the bench seat of my pickup. Girls are much softer than bench seats.

Wow guys! I loathe Fauxcahontus as much as anyone, but I know enough history to be aware that the Cherokee Indians were Eastcoast tribes up until The Trail of Tears.

They were called "The Five Civilized Tribes" and if you watch The Outlaw Josey Wales, Chief Dan George portrays won with comedic ease . . . plus you learn a little history while watching a Clint Eastwood flick . . . what could be better?

This is from an old family recipe dating back to before the seas receded.

I love that scene in JOSEY WALES where Clint Eastwood is in front of that store and the four Soldiers realize that it’s Josey Wales and Clint says, “Are you gonna pull out your crab forks or whistle DIXIE?”

So they brought the crabs from Boston to Muskogee? I bet there were stinky.

The Outlaw Josey Wales is on my all time favorite movies list.

Is that seas receding as in Noah’s time, or has AGW tragically claimed yet another victim from among our minority populations by robbing them of part of their treasured heritage?

Here’s something I don’t understand. Lizzy Warren was married to her high school sweetheart Jim Warren, from 1968 to 1978. She divorced him and married Bruce Mann in 1980, but she still calls herself Mrs. Warren. What give with that? Didn’t want to go to DMV to change her license? Didn’t want to be known as Lizzy Mann?

My favorite movie scene of all time is from Little Big Crab. Dustin Hoffman, as Jack Crabb, is at the top of a hill with General Custard overlooking a humongous Sioux encampment. He says to the General “You go down there, General, and see if you can get a table without a reservation!”

This is not that uncommon for divorced women with kids. You don’t want to have a different last name than your kid. Bringing your child to the doctor, picking up at school it just makes things move better.

Readers of Stephen King's Dark Tower books will recall the scene...
