The federal government Friday called for all baby boomers to be tested for hepatitis C, which kills more Americans each year than AIDS and is the leading reason for liver transplants.
The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention made the recommendation to find hundreds of thousands of people who don't realize that they have the infection, which greatly increases their chances of developing cirrhosis and liver cancer.
The hepatitis C virus is transmitted by blood, usually through intravenous drug use or transfusions. A blood test for it became widely available in 1992. Extremely small amounts of the virus are able to cause infection. Some experts believe that rolled-up dollar bills used to snort cocaine and passed person to person can carry enough infected blood to transmit the virus.
"Many baby boomers may not even remember the behaviors that put them at risk," said John Ward, head of the CDC's viral hepatitis division....

WOW! Okay, presumably it can only be passed to you if you stick it directly into your nose, right? What if you handle an infected bill, then rub your eye or blow your nose? Can the virus travel from your hands to your eye or to your nose and give you Hep C that way, too?

About 20 years ago I was working on a ranch in Montana and the owners daughter was this 21 year old hugely breasted blond who wasn’t too bright naturally of course, and one day while she was bending over picking flowers she shot up and screamed and said that something bit her on the breast. Not one to lock the door when opportunity knocks, I asked her to let me see and when she did I told her it looked like a rattlesnake bite which horrified her. Of course it was just a mosquito bite but why throw away the winning lottery ticket? I then said we must act fast, that I must suck out the poison before it took effect and gave her brain damage (impossible). So she let me sck it out which took about 16 hours and of course that led to other things that involved twins but I’ll save that for my autobiography. What I want to know, is it possible may have contracted the virus from trying to save this poor girls life?

Concerned? wow...actually maybe...considering that almost all our money is tainted on some level with drugs.
I'll never forget the day drug sniffing dogs came into the bank and made a beline for the teller drawers and vault!

I don’t think my reaction was unreasonable. You intimated I was a drug user. You expect me to laugh that crap off?
