The federal government Friday called for all baby boomers to be tested for hepatitis C, which kills more Americans each year than AIDS and is the leading reason for liver transplants.
The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention made the recommendation to find hundreds of thousands of people who don't realize that they have the infection, which greatly increases their chances of developing cirrhosis and liver cancer.
The hepatitis C virus is transmitted by blood, usually through intravenous drug use or transfusions. A blood test for it became widely available in 1992. Extremely small amounts of the virus are able to cause infection. Some experts believe that rolled-up dollar bills used to snort cocaine and passed person to person can carry enough infected blood to transmit the virus.
"Many baby boomers may not even remember the behaviors that put them at risk," said John Ward, head of the CDC's viral hepatitis division....

When i was in Basic Training my tent mate got bit on the butt by a snake while pooping in the woods. I had no idea what to do so i ran to ask the Drill Sgt. I was hit with that battery of questions with every doctors’ visit in Minnesota. The questions were always asked in some sniveling condescending tone. When my annoyance of these questions became obvious, I was “diagnosed” with various “problems”. I am no longer in Minnesota, and no longer recognize any professional license issued by that state.
I don’t know, but I’m pretty sure you’re eligible for THE MONTANA LIFE SAVING MEDAL WITH BREAST DEVICE. I’ve got a room full of those medals. I’m not a hero.....just doing my duty.
Agree hep C can lay dormant for up to thirty years.

Wow, who knew ALL baby boomers had transfusions and are intravenous drug users. I must have been doing some serious tripping since I can't remember either one happening.
If that were the case, then they'd have everyone, not just baby boomers, getting tested. The whole thing is a crock of hooey. Follow the $$$$. What we should be most concerned about is which medical supply company makes the test and is that company getting government money?
If the virus ruined the liver, why do we give Hepatitis C patients another one?
I was asked that same question by my doctor 12 years ago, I told him NOYFB. This did not originate with the usurper.
Experiences of the past couple of years lead me to believe without a doubt that information collection is a priority for the “leadership” perhaps of the NWO movement.
Seems every time I turn around some action related to squeezing information about me, or my wife’s personal business is in play.
Even the water department locally has a program in attempt to suck information out of us similar to that we refuse to answer on the Census as none of the governments business.
It’s as though there is an effort to create a thorough data base on each, and every person in this society.

It happened to us about 10 years ago in TX so it's not new. The obviously liberal non-Southern doctor asked the kids about guns being in the house and they said yes. She never bothered to look to see that hubby was in law enforcement but went into a tirad about the evils of guns, blah, blah, blah. The kids picked up real quick she was nuts and refused to answer any more questions. We immediately complained and apparently we weren't the only ones because she was gone within weeks.
Lie. The main thing most of these form readers want is for the blanks to be filled in. If you know it won't be checked and it's not going to bring jail time, then give them mickey mouse answers and be done with it. If nothing else, it'll screw with the data base file they have on you, lol.

How many baby boomers have had colonoscopies? Certainly quite a few in Clark County that were exposed to hep. C. As my nursing school teachers told me over 30 years ago- laproscopic instruments can never be adequately sterilized, only cleaned. Perhaps the concern is really related to that. You know they’ll never tell us the real reason.
