Anchorage-area firearms dealers are being invited to a June 5 seminar by the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives nearly two months after a controversy erupted that set off alarms among Northwest gun rights activists and got the attention of Alaska Congressman Don Young.
The ATF field office in Anchorage takes direction from the Seattle Field Division office, and in January, an agent in Anchorage approached several local gun shops including Great Northern Guns, asking for their bound books, containing information on all gun transactions, so he could make copies. Great Northern Guns, as this column noted, refused. The agent departed, but that was hardly the end of things.
Members of the WaGuns, Seattle Guns and Gun Rights Media forums have been watching this situation unfold, over concerns that it could happen here.
Alan Gottlieb, founder and executive vice president of the Bellevue-based Second Amendment Foundation in Bellevue has also been on top of the situation, and on his advice, Joseph Andreis, owner of Great Northern Guns, and store manager Frank Caiazza both sent letters to ATF resident agent Michael Graham in Anchorage seeking answers. So far, they havent gotten any, or even a formal response from the ATF .
Perhaps Youngs inquiry will change that, and no doubt it will come up at the June 5 afternoon meeting at the Federal Building annex.

Per the linked article, The ATF agent in question was J.J. Johnson. In my opinion this man should be in prison.
Curiously, this exact name is also the subject of a Georgia Militia conspiracy case linked here:

The dude gets around it seems.
Folks, We The People have one last chance to remove this little bastard commie and his commie thug administration in NOvember via the ballot box. If we fail then, there will not be an America in 2016 in which to hold free elections.
The ATF will take note of who attends this meeting and there will be hell to pay.
Freedoms are out the door.
Big Brother is inside the door.
The only cure for this kind of activity is to get rid of the ATF. The Dept of Commerce should handle firearms just like they were any other product produced for sale.
When they start talking about Don Young being a crook, remember he is our friend and always goes after the feds every chance he gets. The reason why Alaskans will vote for him every time for re-election.
I honestly don’t know. I read the source article that told who the agent in question was and then googled the name and got the Georgia Militia link who listed J.J. Johnson. Seems too big of a coincidence to be just a random duplicate name.
Absolutely no one on this earth can convince me that Agent J.J. Johnson didn’t attempt to use his official status to trick the gun shop owners into providing him information that he patently knew he is legally barred from doing. It is the same trickery where the FBI and the ATF infiltrate malcontent groups and engineer conspiracies, largely instigated and evolved by them.
What this story points to is an out-of-control BATF that is arbitrary and capricious in the zeal to enforce the law as written. It is the same zeal that led to Ruby Ridge and to Waco where the government murdered women and children.
These people are enemies of freedom and they are our enemies, period.
