Posted on 05/19/2012 7:15:24 AM PDT by EternalVigilance
MIAMI, FLORIDA Republican presidential candidate Mitt Romney scheduled a $50,000-a-plate fundraiser at the home of Phil Frost, the executive of the company that makes the Morning After Pill, on Wednesday night. Plan B One-Step is produced by Teva Pharmaceuticals, Frosts company.
The people on this site took out each one of the decent candidates. Shooting eachother in the foot, they have ended up with a real loser.
Now they want to shoot the loser.
I’m not voting for a Marxist, no way, no how.
Way too many candidates to list, in total. Politics1 comes the closest to listing them all. During each and every presidential election cycle, there are, always, people of all political ideologies running for POTUS who are not Democrats or Republicans as well as those who are minor candidates from each major political party. Virgil Goode of the Constitution Party will, probably, get the most “conservative voters not voting for Mitt Romney” votes out of all of the conservative candidates running in ‘12, with Tom Hoefling of America’s Party getting the next total numbers of votes from conservative voters.
You get your way through threat of brute force ~ nothing more than that. There is no moral high ground on your side.
Now if you'd lay down all the firearms and eliminate the power of the courts....... absent that don't pretend there is anything rational or civilized out your way.
Well, I guess Camenker thinks others have as few principles that they won’t compromise as he does. Quite sad.
"Romney pledged to "get rid of" Planned Parenthood and protect the conscience rights of healthcare providers who oppose distributing what he called "abortive pills," such as Plan B. The fundraiser did not indicate a change in position on those issues."
Did Obama promise anything like that?
The bottom line is that the primaries are over and it's going to be Obama or Romney.
This thread is why I’ve always said that Roe v Wade was the left’s most brilliant tactical move.
EternalVigilance is running for president himself. Read the thread.
I forgot to provide you with the link; this is from the company website (in English)
I tell people that Zyklon-B is still manufactured, under a different name admittedly, and lot’s of folks think I’m telling ‘em tall tales.
Welcome to FRee Republic N00b
The truth about the pro-abortion, same sex marriage and adoption draft dodging socialist Willard Mitt Romney has been known by FReepers for several years...
Since you are just arriving you may not know all there is to know...
Stick around and read up on the GOP-e nominee and why hes repugnent to Conservative Americans..
>>have to laugh at that one ~ there is no chance romney will appoint a conservative judge<<
And a 100% chance that Obama will not.
In fact 100% chance that he will not put in anyone to the right of the Wise Latina.
certainly we are going to attack them.
That’s for sure.
Go read Romney’s own site. He thinks the right to life is subject to human choice, not a God-given, unalienable right.
He is, by definition, a pro-choice democrat on life, in exactly the same way Stephen A. Douglas was a pro-choice democrat on slavery.
..Savage..if he listens to those middle -of -the road advisers like McCain did, he's going to go by the way of McCain..
What are the odds that Romney will try to appoint Mormons?
Can we just start over now? :(
Sadly, dear lady, we cannot. We have to choose a side. Either we stand for God or we do not.
I think there are a lot of Freepers who share my enthusiastic support for Mitt.
If I hear that one. more. time. :)
Good luck there, big guy. I mean that.
I go with our original strategy, to vote against Romney in the primary and FOR the one with second largest number of delegates.
I will write-in that same name in the general. Maybe that will force placing my write-in candidate on the cabinet.
This means Paul or Santorum, though I was a Perry & Newt girl.
I am unafraid of Obama 2.0, if that’s what it takes to explode the socialist GOPE. That’s a small price to pay to get our party back and then save our Republic. God will provide.
The Democrat platform celebrates abortion,
As does Willard Mitt Romney...
In fact he once tried to prove he celebrated abortion more than Ted Kennedy...
Sound like another Wetboro Bap[tist n00b come to tell Freerepublic folks the Wetboro definition of ‘saved’. Are we witnessing an obamnoid form of taqqiya, faux Christians? Sure looks like it as you folks work to reduce the opposition vote to little barry bastard commie in the White Hut.
The leftwingtards imagine that public policy should be created with an eye to avoiding hypocrisy ~ as they see it.
BTW, 99.9999999999995% of hypocrisy is only in the eye of the beholder.
So, stuff it wingnut! Back to DU.
Since you are posting to a candidate for President, I should think you wouldn’t expect him to vote for Obamney.
This is a huge company ...I say the article is BS
Mergers and acquisitions
Teva plant, Har Hotzvim
On December 23, 2008, Teva acquired Barr Pharmaceuticals for US$7.5 billion, making Barr and Pliva (which Barr bought earlier) part of Teva. On March 18, 2010, Teva announced that it planned to acquire German generic Ratiopharm for US$5 billion. The deal was completed on August 2010.
In May 2011, Teva bought Cephalon for US$6.8 billion. The combined company is expected to have US$7 billion in sales of branded drugs. Shortly after this announcement, Teva announced the ¥40 billion purchase of a majority stake in the Japanese generic drug company Taiyo Pharmaceutical Industry, a move to secure a Japan-local production facility. Teva completed the $934 million acquisition on July 2011.
Teva holds a patent on two drugs: Copaxone (for the treatment of multiple sclerosis), now the world’s best selling MS drug, and Azilect (sold as Agilect in some countries) for treatment of Parkinson’s disease
LOL...then why do 99.9% of them feel the need to preface their support practically every time with something along the lines of "I know he stinks, but..."
From what I can see - most have renounced the Republican Party anyway. Did Romney indicate (or do you think he would) to the Russians that if he had enough space until his election was over, then he could take care of business better? I guess we all need to decide what we are willing to trade off on - I prefer to have a modicum of National Sovereignty left after the next election. If you take all the things you detest about both candidates and remove those that match up, then study what's left, which bad choice makes more sense? Purism is a theory that looks great on paper, but which will destroy one (or a Nation) when put into practice - similar to the "no tolerance" policies in schools where even a stick drawing of a gun get's a kid suspended, or a 6 year old singing "I'm too sexy" gets him suspended for "sexual harassment". That;s a classic example of "purism". "All or nothing" demands makes one an instant loser and a surprised martyr with all the others that go down with the ship.
I detest that Romney will be the other candidate, but I won't commit suicide and smugly imagine that at least I got my way as I lie on the deathbed of my Nation. "Give me some space until my election is over....."
I wasn’t criticizing so much as just pointing out the facts.
The reality of the situation is litterally making me ill and giving me headaches.
I feel trapped.
In one trap I definitely lose my right arm. While in the other trap I only lose my right hand.
Whether I can bring myself to vote for Romney, and right now I can not, I will still vote for the lower offices.
That is the only glimmer of hope I have.
The fact is I can't stand Romney and his liberal socialist hack ways BUT...
>>What are the odds that Romney will try to appoint Mormons?<<
What do I care? I’m Catholic and not a Mormon bigot.
Do you actually believe that placing a bunch of middle men in the daisy chain makes the immorality go away?
I thought the morning after pill prevents conception rather then having an effect on an already conceived fetus. Am I wrong about this?
>>I think there are a lot of Freepers who share my enthusiastic support for Mitt. <<
Oh Lord, I don’t.
As a GOP candidate, he stinks.
But he is the last man standing and not a Marxist.
So where did I say or imply I did.
Could you not make your post a little longer? I said I was holding my nose one more time,on the Chance (possibly outside chance) that he MIGHT appoint a Conservative by pressure or whatever, that is all I said, nothing more.
You know what? You caught me word parsing. I apologize for poor wording. However, the point I made is pretty clear. EV supports neither Romney nor Obama.
I’m sorry, I was trying to be polite and post to you because it was your conversation.
I will not post to you again. Again, I apologize.
Well, upon your own advice, EternalVigilance, I just did. And here's what I found:
As president, Mitt will nominate judges in the mold of Chief Justice Roberts and Justices Scalia, Thomas, and Alito. . . . Mitt Romney is pro-life. . . . Mitt believes that life begins at conception and wishes that the laws of our nation reflected that view. . . . he believes that the right next step is for the Supreme Court to overturn Roe v. Wade. . . . Mitt supports the Hyde Amendment, which broadly bars the use of federal funds for abortions. . . . he will end federal funding for abortion advocates like Planned Parenthood. . . .
That's what Romney is running on, and as long as he holds to that and does not change between now and November, that's good enough for me.
He is. Your derision doesn’t change that.
Yes we are in agreement
That stuff is too close to Marxism for comfort.
"A little leaven leaveneth the whole lump."
Nobody ever said standing up for righteousness and what's good is easy. That's why there are so few of us with good moral character and a true love for God. "Compromising" our principles so that we can take care of ourselves when doing so destroys everything we know and love as whole is wrong. God blessed this country because we feared, worshiped and honored Him and His principles. Now so many, like Adam, fear losing one or more loved ones so they cave into the immoral. It's for this reason God's turning His back on us and we are beginning to reap what we're sowing as a nation.
I'm saddened that your mom had cancer. I just lost my dad to it but I don't own stock in companies that promote infanticide and neither did my Dad. I don't worry about he that can destroy this flesh rather I fear Him that can destroy both this flesh and my eternal soul. I'd council you to do the same and stop justifying why it's ok for you to support drug companies that support and endorse infanticide in the same manner welfare moms justify living on the dole.
God IS good. Learn to trust God. Neither romney nor obomba do and it's going to get so bad.
Well, that makes two of us.
I’m not a Mormon bigot, either.
I’m not any kind of Mormon, but Romney is a Mormon. I think he may try to appoint a Mormon to the Supreme Court.
I included you in but it was meant for the other poster.
Again, my apologies.
