Congressional Republicans have been targeted by a crime wave this spring, with burglars curiously able to repeatedly break into offices without security noticing.

Despite security in the Hill office buildings, the offices of Reps. Jon Runyan (R-N.J.), Jerry Lewis (R-Calif.) and Trey Gowdy (R-S.C.) were burglarized last month, with Runyan’s office hit twice. Also hit was the Oversight and Government Reform Committee office and the staff office for the Appropriations subcommittee on Homeland Security, both under control of the Republican majority.

If Security can't keep burglars out of the halls of Congress, how can they protect against terrorists??

Is it stranger that all 3 are on a committee of ISSA?

Only Gowdy is on Issa's Committee on Government Oversight and Reform -- which office was also burgled.

Lewis is the outgoing Chairman of the Appropriations Committee -- whose office was also burgled. He is retiring after this term.

Runyan serves on the Armed Services, Veterans Affairs and the Natural Resouces Committee.

Always a possibility — problem is, whatever that “Breitbart” character uncovers will be TOTALLY ignored by state-run media.

” whatever that “Breitbart” character uncovers will be TOTALLY ignored by state-run media. “

True - but you can bet your bippie that the person (Breitbart redux) who dares to try to get the word out will be character assasinated post-haste...

Over the years the Dems have been able to saturate all levels of the Civil Service with their own. If a conservative inadvertently gets hired by Civil Service, and views become known, he is ostracized until he gets out. Of course, once government unions came into being it magnified the problem.

When a republican president takes over the political appointees change but the civil service underlings stay on and leak info, sabotage efforts, etc. to reduce the effectiveness of the appointee and there is nothing that can be done. It is a major weakness in the government.

I was informed that only one of the congressman was on Issa’s committee. I miss-read the article.

It is still a puzzling occurrence.

"Is is strange that only GOP Congressmen are targeted for theft."

Could be that Dem offices were also burgled, but the the stuff that was taken couldn't be reported. Like drugs.

The MSM is a clear and present danger to the freedom of the nation. Has been so since the 1960’s.

The Fourth Estate is a Fifth Column.

I can’t help but think that the stolen objects are cover for the Congressional equivalent of Sandy Burger stuffing his pants with original documents some years back.

Two clues on how the Feds are doing on protecting us from Islamic terrorists: wide open borders for terrorists and their equipment and P.C. welcoming the Muslim Brotherhood to inflitrate the government on all levels, including homeland INsecurity.

They are not taking care of Congressional security or any security. Look at the sexual molestation program at the airports for a clue as to who the government’s real enemy is.
