Gingrich to Georgia GOP: Let's rally around Romney
The Florida Times Union ^ | May 19, 2012 | Errin Haines

Newt Gingrich took the stage at the Georgia Republican Party state convention on Saturday wearing a Mitt Romney sticker, focusing his attacks on President Barack Obama and attempting to energize the crowd around his former Republican rival.

"To every conservative, everywhere in America: When your choice on the one hand is Barack Obama, and your choice on the other hand is Mitt Romney, no serious conservative could possibly believe that electing Barack Obama is acceptable ... for America."

“What you are telling this forum is that conservatives should not oppose Obama and in fact let Obama win and surrender the Presidential election of 2012 to Obama!!”

No, you have not correctly characterized what I have written. So, again I will reiterate it and use small words so even you can understand it. Although, I doubt you are capable, or even have the integrity to try.

I am saying that Obama is evil, and recognizeably so. I am also saying that Romney is equally evil, but in ways not so easy to recognize...as you prove by your support of him. Neither man should occupy of the office of POTUS. Romney will be NO better than Obama, and in fact may be worse.

I think REAL conservatives should refuse to support Romney. He is NOT conservative, he is an active member of a psuedo-Christian cult that wants to dominate the country and suppress real Christianity, he was a terrible governor in Mass., he has lied, cheated, an bought this nomination and is the pawn of the GOPe. He WAS FORCED on true conservatives, by a GOPe that doesn’t give a rip what the conservative (Ronald Reagan) base of the party thinks or wants. His presence has created a no win scenario.

Obama is a recognizeable evil that the GOP members of congress are compeled to oppose. IF Romney were to be elected, I know he would pursue policies, different, but just as bad as Obama’s. However, the GOP members of congress would be compeled to support him even when he is wrong. For instance, he WILL NOT appoint true conservatives to the SCOTUS no more than he did in MASS.

After four years of Romney, the brand of Republican will be ruined for decades...even though he is NOT conservative.

However, Obama’s continued presence, though horific, will galvanize the GOP opposition. It will, I believe, get more conservative members elected to the House and Senate in 2012 and more so in 2014. Obama WILL be essentially castrated and put in check. Whereas, a Romney will cost us seats in 2014...and may even during this current election because he so disgusts the base.

I NEVER seek have “pie in the sky” as you accuse falsely. I seek a rational opportunity for change and reform. We will NEVER get it by supporting the GOPe candidate Romney.

I propose that REAL conservative don’t vote for Romney. Either leave the ballot blank in that part or pick a conservative third party (should there be one) and vote that. However, I consider a vote for Romney as a vote for the destruction of conservatism and for the continued empowerement of the GOPe.

TRUE conservatives should distance themselves from Romney, and only support conservative candidates for House and Senate. By taking control of the Congress we control the country and put Obama in check...and help rid the GOPe of their power. That isn’t “pie in the sky.”

What Agamemnon is NOT telling the forum is how he threatened me that “I would be banished” by Jim Robinson because I oppose the ABO nonsense (Cyanide Koolaid) that he and others are drinking out of a desparation fear of Obama.

They are letting their fear override their sense of principle...if they ever had any. Bottom line is that Romney is to be opposed just as Obama is. It is OPPOSSING OBAMA TO OPPOSE ROMNEY....they are the same thing. Both are poison, just one is Belladonna the other Cyanide. Either way you are dead.

Yep, me too. I felt responsible for getting Clintoon elected when I should have voted for George H. W. Bush. He was a big RINO, but he would have been better than Clintoon.

That's what not facing Reality did for me back then. I really thought Perot could pull it off. I regret it every day of my life.

No third Party for me this time around. I'm going with the Republican, whomever that may be. I learned my lesson, along with the rest of the Country.

“Silence is Consent” is the tagline of a FReeper who told another FReeper today to go away and quit bugging him. I disagreed with the FReeper whose tagline is “Silence is Consent.”

I plan to vote my conscience and I plan to vote for a candidate for President in the November general election. I encourage every FReeper to vote and not stay away from the polls.

The reason for your sending me this post is...?

I cannot stand you nasty little snitches who ping Jim to your pathetic posts.

It’s over.

“Leave Jim alone, you little sissy. He’s already declared that we are free to post dissenting opinions on this board.”

I’m pinging Jim Robinson, because Agamemnon said I would be banned for my opposition to you ABO fools. I’m prooving that is wrong.

Indeed, Jim has been tolerant of you ABOs. However, Agamemnon and you seem to think you are in the majority here. I say you are wrong. More here absolutely refuse to vote for Romney than you ABOs that are trying to push this nonsense.

Why don’t you behave like an adult instead of a dolt. “Sissy?” Give me a break.

I ping Jim to show Agamemnon his is delusional.

"...better to deal with a recognizable evil in Mr. Obama and to use him to get a firm grip, with conservative Republicans, on both the House and Senate.”

You prefer to have Obama in the White House for the next 4 years.

You said so.

Those are you words.

And I am holding you to them.

I won't let you try to shade them any other way: re-election of Obama is part of your strategy.

I know of no one else on FR who desires that Obama be re-elected, and still continues to survive for very much longer as a poster.

It typically comes as no surprise to anyone that those who choose to shill for the re-election of Obama for whatever reason they do so, do get banned.

I dared you to come out openly on the Forum and tell everyone that you prefer that Obama be the next President, and let the chips fall where they may in the opinion of the site owner and in the opinion of the Forum in general.

I can't "threaten" anyone. I don't own the site.

Perhaps it is the dare itself that you find threatening.

Or maybe it's your expressed intent to have Obama re-elected that most posters here on FR would find threatening enough. Those posters of course can speak for themselves.

I simply quoted you.

I'll quote you again: However, Obama’s continued presence, though horific, will galvanize the GOP opposition.

You want Obama in there for 4 more years.

You just said it AGAIN.

Your words threaten your standing to the degree they are of any concern to the site's owner.

Regardless of any rambling justifications you have made, since you openly desire to have Obama sitting in the Presidency for the next 4 years, even as Obama does, himself, I'll just let your words speak for themselves, and we'll see what happens, shall we?

You are of course free to step away from your re-elect Obama strategy at any time, admit your error in having suggested such a foolish strategy at all, and try to re-affirm what little remains of your conservative creds, as a first attempt at improving your standing in the present discussion.

FReegards!

“You prefer to have Obama in the White House for the next 4 years.”

Show some integrity and post the entire comment instead of doing the “liberal” thing and just picking and chosing what to quote. Besides, I have already posted a full explanation to the forum in a previous post on this thread. However, you continue to be an insufferable fool and a shill for the liberal Romney....who is NO better than Obama. Being a ABO sellout is NOT being conservative, it is cowardice. You sir are a coward, and a deceiver as well.

Once again, I will ping Jim because you keep making threats you have no right to make. I guess I’m going to have to bother the moderator as well. You just refuse to stop spinning my comments out of context and to mean what YOU want them to mean. Show some integrity, if you have any.

Sadly, “Sola Veritas” is not the only one openly advocating another 4 years of Obama, as the preferred outcome of the 2012 elections, while claiming to be an “uncompromising conservative”.

I have seen quite a few similar posts here.

My guess is that about half of those with that attitude are Obama trolls, while the other half are so blinded and deluded, that they are letting themselves become Obama’s “useful idiots”, mostly without even understanding what the term means.

There are quite a few posts on this thread maintaining that there is no difference between Obama and Romney, so we might as well give Obama a second term.

Are you the sole determiner of FReepers conservative creds? Are you the moderator of the present discussion? Other than having a gift for attacking fellow FReepers today, and your special logo, what do you think makes your every opinion valid and all parts of another FReeper's opinion invalid?

Why are you looking to trap FReepers and then, on your own volition, issuing verdicts about what they have to do to get out of the trap you imagine you have devised?

What are you trying to accomplish on FR? To cow FReepers one at a time into voting for Romney? It appears that is the case.

That busts the spirit of the truce.

Your words. Not the words of the FReepers on this thread that you are accusing. You are making the point that all FReepers must vote for Romney...or what happens? You'll hound them?
