There is no truce! Retread troll zot!
Vanity | Christopheros Geanakos

Posted on 05/19/2012 6:59:51 PM PDT by geanakos.chris

First of all, not a newb.. just a purge victim from the primaries.

JimRob posted almost a month ago about a so called truce between Romney supporters and the rest of the FReeper community. Since then, it appears the left has little job to do in driving a wedge into the right wing, we are doing it still ourselves.

Were is this truce? How come all I see on here is Alinsky tactics of divide and conquer? Today there was a post about Evil Mittie and him fundraising with morning after pill distributors. And the "true blue conservatives" pounce, little do they know that this pill manufacturer is one of the largest generic pill manufactuyrers in the world.. who produce all kind of medicine, even Augmentin, Azithromycin and Cipro, common anti-biotics..

This so called truce makes me sick. Can't wait to read the next half-baked anti-Romney article and the zealot FReepers who will eat up its every word because it furthers the narrative of Romney that THEY want him to fit into.

I'm not upset that people have beliefs that won't "allow" them to vote for Romney.. but what really irritates me is this active campaigning against people who would support Romney.. what game are you trying to pull? To deliver us into 4 more years of Obama servitude, for what purpose?? It strengthens conservatives? Talk about a phyyric victory. If you don't support Romney fine, but we are all anti-Obama here.. lets stay on focus.

I actually know republicans who voted for Obama in 2008 because they were tired of Bush, Iraq war etc and fell for Hope & Change. The same people unanimously will vote in 2012 AGAINST Obama.

Yup, there is every type out there. People we may not be able to relate to but just because we cannot relate to such stories nobody should ever attempt to discredit the stories with "horsecrap". Those voters are out there and to stick our heads in a hole is at our own peril.

There were liberals who voted for Obama because they thought they would no longer have to make those payments on their car, mortgages on their home.

I know one republican who is suspected by his friends of pretending to be crazy to collect disability. Why? Because it was once alledged to have been said by him that he's so disgusted with foreigners coming into this country and immediately collecting social security which he spent years paying into that it's about time that he too jump on the wagon and collect all he paid into it before it goes bankrupt.

It all does not mater much now. Romney has signaled he will follow in the honorable footsteps of three of the past four Republican contenders, Bush I, Dole, McCain, in taking a long agonizing fall. It was most explicit with McCain but just as real with Bush I and Dole. Romney will spend the campaign praising the kenyan and apologizing for conservatives. Bush I was not really interested in a second term. When he made his run against Clinton I kept thing he was saving his punches for the right time. the right time never came and he naver punched.Dole never ever sounded like he wanted to win the election. McCain praised obama in just about every speech. Every time I heard him speak it awakened the question in my mind, "Just who is this guy wants to win?" And now Romney eschews all but gentlemanly tactics after he used insistent and foul prevarication and character assassination against other Republicans.

The Democrat candidate will be the President in 2013.

Same "comment" I posted on another thread.

You vote for Romney and you get a small reshuffle of the height in pile "a" of bullshit compared to the same height of the pile of bullshit "b" under another 4 of the O.

If you want to change things. Truly change things. Make the change in your heart, in your mind, and then your hands.

People call Jimrob insane. Stupid. Whatever.

All I see are people who are sliding slowly and with absolute consent into the gates of hell, sitting on their ass and crying about it.

Conservative? Yeah, I AM putting more pressure on my right ass cheek.

Oh..wait..silly me...that is YOU sliding by....

The fact is: Romney ran to the left of Ted Kennedy on: abortion rights, gay rights and 'equal' opportunity.

The only "good thing" about Romney politically is that his democrat opponents were never able to claim that he would take away the woman's "right" to choose. The closest they've ever come to that was by claiming that Romney is not pro-choice or pro-life, he's multiple choice.

Hey, that's the fact. You nominated him, now you have to get him elected.

Where we conservatives went wrong was allowing too many conservatives split the ticket allowing Romney to win. That's our fault. Romney faced a split opposition.

Don't blame me I voted for Newt. You should have too

I have said this on other threads, I will say it again. I will not vote for romney. HE is pro-abortion no matter how hard his supporters feverishly wish it not true. That said, I will vote for a child molester before I will vote for that child murdering used car salesman. GOP-e thought they could cram another of their crappy rinos down the throats of people who have principles- well, this time they are wrong. They chose poorly and I do not care how much it bugs the ABO people. I will not vote for a man who will allow little innocent children to be murdered in their mothers womb.. Call me what you want- I do not care— IF it will help you I am a fool, I am an ignorant hick from the backwoods of North Carolina- I am stupid.. I have been called all of these things , but you know, I wear those names with honor from the likes of you who would allow the murder of babies to make a political point. HAVE AT IT.

One other seldom mentioned issue that bothers me about Romney is he protested in FAVOR of the war in Nam but HE didn’t go..hell NO!
•Teenage Romney takes unpopular stance in favour of south-east Asian war
•But his status as ‘Mormon missionary’ exempted him from the draft
•Future GOP presidential candidate dressed in smart, preppy clothes

•Romney’s father George was the Governor of Michigan at the time

“Yep. As far as I know, everyone who goes on SS cancels their health insurance the same day or very shortly after.”

Many patients have both SS and private insurance, but I believe once they have SS their private insurance is capped mandatorily by the Feds at a low rate, and, if the doctor participates in SS, he/she is guilty of Medicare fraud if he/she accepts a co-pay to make up for the lost revenue. If a doctor opts out of Medicare, the doctor can never opt back in, and is forever thereafter ineligible to bill patients with it.

I think that’s how it works.

Since Romney’s team has already put out hints that RomneyCare is allegedly better than ObamaCare, and that it is impossible to repeal ObamaCare, we will likely still wind up with RomneyCare on a national level along with a single pay system, albeit we’ll get there with a flourish of pro-market sounding propaganda. The same can be said about his tax policies, which he has already hinted that he will pay for tax cuts not by a focus on cutting spending, but on a removal of deductions and alleged “loopholes” people have on things like state property or income taxes. In Mass., Romney raised taxes and fees to the point that the state would have been last in business growth if not for Hurricane Katrina.

IOW, we will not be better off with Mitt Romney. And the GOP, as per usual, will not resist Romney the same way they would resist Obama.

There is nothing to celebrate here, unless you’re gullible and buy all that Romney is selling. He’s a con-artist, not too far removed from old Joe Smith.

Unfortunately, no...we are not all opposed to 0bama here. In fact, I am convinced there is a hard core of support for 0bama here on FR. How else do you explain the endless campaign against the GOP nominee? Don’t want to vote for a candidate? Ok, don’t vote for him; you’ll help the other guy, but that’s life. But to carry on a relentless campaign against 0bama’s only serious challenger? There is one reason and one reason only for that behavior: You want 0bama to have a second term.

Listen... Romney's a liberal. I for one cannot be convinced otherwise. I look at his record and I watch his pandering to liberals. You can support romney all you want. It's still a free country until obomba and romney get finished with it. That's right. I've maintained from the beginning that there is absolutely NO difference between Barack Hussein Obomba and Mitt Romney and to date all any of you rino romney supporters have been able to do to try and show me... show us... a difference is list all the things obomba's done to destroy this country while completely ignoring the fact that romney did most of them first.
WTH people. We're not stupid. Romney authored obombacare. He's not going to be able to run away from that and trying to spin it to make it look like it's not "as bad" as what obomba did isn't going to fly. Splitting hairs about whether or not his healthcare plan was only written for one state as apposed to all of them is pure bovine feces at the very least and completely misses the point. Romney is for taking my freedom away from me by forcing me to purchase products and services he thinks I need or else I can be fined and/or imprisoned. To hell with that.
Obomba is for homosexual marriage. Romney is for homosexual marriage. In fact his state, the state he governed, is one of the only states that has legalized homosexual marriages. Obomba is for big medicine and has thrown billions of dollars, a lot of them mine, at big pharmaceutical manufacturers including the one you were referring to. The one that makes the morning after pill. I love how you rinos are so quick to justify the evil deeds of these pariahs. In your minds it's ok for romney to hold a fund-raiser at a pro-deather pharmaceutical company because in your opinion they do so much good with all the other medicines they produce. I for one am a Christian and real Christians believe that pharmaceuticals are sorceries just as scripture tells us they are. It is against my Christian beliefs to support witchcraft and sorcery and violates my 1st Amendment right to freedom of religion to make me have anything to do with them yet romney and obomba insist that I pay taxes that are in return spent on drugs (aka pharmaceuticals, potions, witchcraft, sorcery). Romney spits in the face of every Christian and Conservative when he mocks our beliefs and if you think flirting with the devil isn't mocking our beliefs then you're sorely mistaken.
Obomba is anti-Israel. Romney is anti-Israel. Obomba is pro-big government. Romney is pro-big government. Obomba is pro-muslim. Romney believes Islam is not our enemy....

Get the idea. You want to peddle romney's bs policy ideas? Great but don't expect us to keep our mouths shut. Sticking a knife in our backs and twisting it because your guy romney was able, it seems at this point, to buy the republican nomination is not keeping with the truce you are whining about. Truces work two ways and rubbing it in that romney is the republican nomination by posting anti-conservative propaganda when it's obvious millions of Conservatives from around the nation didn't get to vote in our primaries is nothing but a bunch of crap. I for one will not lie down and let you kick sand in my face. Romney's a putz and he will NOT beat obomba. If he does it won't matter because as I said in an earlier post on another thread, they're evenly yoked pulling the same political agenda.

You need to talk to the RNC about that... they are the ones that pushed for a liberal, and badmouthed convervatives, played dirty tricks, and changed the rules in the middle of the game.

OK, the RiNO's did that. They did all that and more, to ensure that only their candidate was nominated, and that other people, esp. the majority of registered Republicans, couldn't play.

I'd be voting GOP this year if they were running an anti-abortion, pro-gun, small government candidate.

People like you are the reason Romney publicly sneered and laughed at us, and ditched Texas from his itinerary.

We will NEVER be taken seriously until we develop the courage to renege our votes based on principle, and thrust the onus of failure back on the RiNO politica's overprivileged, arrogant authors.

You can call me all the names you want. Yes, I too am resentful the RNC uses their power to select the republican candidate instead of waiting until we the people choose first, and then backing OUR candidate. But we elected these idiots in the first place, back when we too thought moderate was he cat’s meow because it kept the peace here. But the time has come when COMPROMISING with leftists can be no more because we’ve moderated ourselves into a quagmire. What we’ve got to do is vote these people out NOW.

As for this year, the deed is done, and we didn’t outman the establishment. Now we’ve got another RINO we’ll have to puke to vote FOR.

Vote FOR, you say?

Yes, unless you want four more years with an islamofascist foreign born communist FREAK in our White House. You know, the man who has deliberately set out to destroy our free country. Are you willing to let somebody else place your vote for Obama? Because if you don’t spend your vote AGAINST him, the rest of us fighting to take him out lose. Also if you don’t go vote, what are our chances for removing the establishment that needs to go also.

"There is still plenty of time, to work our our differences."

Really? How do you propose that? I don't think you moderates understand. A line has been drawn. Most conservatives, myself included, are tired of having rinos shoved down our throats. We're tired of having to pick between the lesser of two evils. In the obomba romney case there is no "lesser of two evils." Both men are evil to their core. Both will lie through their teeth and you cannot prove otherwise. There father is the father of lies, the devil and thinking that any self respecting, God fearing man or woman is going to support either obomba or romney is nothing short of delusional.

Sure... We can work out our differences once the moderates and leftists come to their senses and stop with all the communist nonsense. I for one am tired of taking five steps backward just so some boneheaded jackass can give me half a step forward. Compromise and surrender is NOT an option. Our country and our lives depend upon good, honorable, decent, God fearing people taking a stand and standing for what's right. Our backs are up against a wall and we're not moving back any further.

At least this is how I see it.
