“only one of two men are going to be the next President: Obama or Romney. There is no one else who can possibly win.”

This is true. These are historic events and this is a time for choosing. Those who choose neither Romney or Obama stand for nothing.

Wonder how many of the tourists visiting the sites hava any idea he was a Republican?

Probably about as many who know George Wallace, Lestor Maddox and Bull Conner were democrats.

Hello SW6906

Now, why would you assume, I was “pissing in the wind” should I chose to vote for someone other than the Democrat / Republican brand.

Can you grantee that under the Republican brand the Federal G’ment will get smaller? If not, I see you as being one who prefers to be the frog in the pot that is SLOWLY boiled instead of getting it over with

You are 100% correct. Kristol is a backstabbing little witch. There I said it. (I think you will like by tagline.)

Charles Krauthammer has had some wonderful moments lately.

He was pro-Romney, but that’s all over. I really like him lately.

So now people who are reluctantly going to vote for Romney because Obama is far, far worse are Romneybots?

Way to win friends and influence people, my FRiend!

What a hilarious tale about Gerald the cat, and JoAnn the dog

I got Gerald from the SPCA as we'd just lost a cat for reasons unknown. We were sad but we keep four cats at all times cause you don't want just one cat is how we figure.

He was a kitten, of course, adorable. I figure how hard can it be, a kitten? Just put a couple extra tidbits in the communal bowl, right?

It's like the ransom of Red Chief. Gerald does not see the world as we expected. It's a Gerald world and the pursuit of food is primary. I got me a squirt bottle just for Gerald.

Our calico, she despises Gerald and gets the vapors whenever he walks by. All she needs is a lace hankie for her howling. She also likes to slap the dog when she walks by, I don't know why. But go with me, the dog weighs about 90 pounds, Lily, about 10.

As for Gerald, well he's just fine with the dog. He comes up and eats her food with her. For the longest time I was batting him away cause, well come on, the dog's never been all that fond of sharing her food with the cats!

But she lets Gerald eat with her, an amazing thing. BUT, JoAnn will share Gerald's puddle of milk and Friskies should she come upon, them's the rules.

I wrap food items in aluminum foil from time to time, a biscuit, piece of cornbread. We get up from nap and there's little tiny bits of alumunim foil from one end of house to other, some crumbs in between.

Every time you pick him up his belly is as big as a basketball and the LITTER PANS! Dear Lord, in the name of the Father, the Son, and the Holy Ghost....yesterday I went to BJ's and bought EIGHTY FOUR Pounds of litter!

As much increase in food is as much increase of litter...makes sense.

He loves to be held and purrs your ear off if you pick him up. He looks exactly like Sylvester the Cat.

I tell husband, maybe we're too old for Gerald. Perish the thought.

Besides, we called the SPCA, how much to take him back?

$100,000 they told us.

Heh.

Agreed. But I will not forget how he was so supportive of Obama when ALL indications were that Obama was hard left. Krauthammer’s inability to warn America through his commentary about the true Obama will always be a black stain on his reputation. Sorry about being so harsh, but we are indebt by another $5 Trilion, we have been down graded, unemployment is above 8%, Obamacare is hanging over our heads, Medicare has been defunded by $500 Billion, etc.

galloway15:
"OK, so tell us what are the “bad” things Romney did and how would you as a CEO done it differently."
"

I don't do requests but ..
RomneyCARE - I would have not imposed socialized medicine
but in its stead increased competition between
insurance companies including those ins. companies out of state,
and increased competition between hospitals and Walmart and nurses
by allowing alternative treatment of minor problems.

RomneyMarriage - Would have followed the Constitution
which states (in English):
"The power of suspending the laws, or (suspending) the execution of the laws,
ought never to be exercised but by the legislature..."

Romney's Big Dig Coverup - Would have imposed
accountability instead of taking campaign contributions.

Romney's Increase in Taxes (called 'Fees') - Is this obvious or what?

Romney's Imposing DNC judges - Is this obvious or what?

Romney's Bringing in Illegal Aliens to Change the Language of some cities in Massachusetts.
A Governor's first allegiance SHOULD have been to the people.

Etc. Etc.

Could not agree more, and I am a long-time Bush supporter and am now backing Romney, since Perry crashed.

A LOT of the people who are pundits, columnists, political consultants etc. are NOT HELPING. They are making people angrier in their efforts to prove that they are the only ones who are right. They mock those who don’t agree with them on Twitter.

A little humility would be in order for all of these people, and I would greatly appreciate it if they would quit analyzing every dang thing that is said by Romney, his staff, the RNC, etc. They should go analyze Obama, which many have failed to do.

Changing Romneycare to allow for portability across state lines would have required a change in FEDERAL laws, which the governor of Massachusetts really has no control over.

As far as “bringing in illegal aliens,” do you have receipts for the charter buses that transported them from El Paso, or what?

DanZ, Bray is NOT pissed off because someone is attacking Romney.

What is pissing him off is the CONSTANT dumping of anti-Romney material we’ve all seen before, and no doubt will keep seeing until the election, and perhaps long after. We’d like this thread to be a place of serious discussion and thoughful debate among friends... Is that so wrong?

Certain threads on Free Republic and certain FReepers are at each other’s throats; wanting people banned and zotted for merely disagreeing with them. Can’t we please avoid that here?

I have seen this behavior directed at supporters of EVERY Republican candidate over the past year. Because of this stupid infighting, we’ve lost all the conservative candidates, and some chose not to run (Sarah Palin). most of us on this thread strongly supported every other candidate EXCEPT Romney. In fact, I don’t think I ever met an original Romneybot, that is, someone whose been for Romney since the beginning.

Some long time ago we on this thread agreed not to get into the antagonizing of other people over their candidates, and it worked very well. No one spammed against other candidates here even though it was happening constantly on about every other thread.

We—ok, I, simply speaking for myself (chime in if any reader agrees with me)—do not want that here. I acknowledge I have no power to enforce it, except to ask people kindly not to do so.

Free Republic has lost a number of good people over the past year due to this mean-spirited infighting. I’m deeply saddened by this. I’m not going to argue in favor of Romney, but if you don’t see that the game is over I don’t know what else to say. I know I will vote AGAINST Barrack Hussein Obama come November.

No Miss M....I didn’t know all that you wrote.

But I must thank you.

Because there is no discernible reason why Bill Kristol should be helping create a ticket that would make it harder for Repubs to beat.

I’ve been furious ever since.

Will keep a closer eye on him.

altura (RomneyBOT):
"There are other threads for this.

Not very nice, are you.
I posted about the Sunday FOX News, and in response you
attacked me with ad hominems.

Then, in response, only defended myself
against the imperious, pejorative, TYPICAL RomneyBOT
nasty attacks made by your troop of impetuous unconservative proStatism capuchins.

Since your post indicates that you
are a lemming and hate conservative principles
(post #114) why don't YOU consider going back to DU?

I researched all of that back in the summer of 2001. I have never forgotten it, because I consider him a mole in the GOP. Maybe not working for the DNC, but working for his interests as opposed to those of our country.
