She could have sank Romney early on by getting behind a candidate and campaigning. Why didn’t see? For the same reason nobody stands up too strongly. Have to play along to get along to a certain degree. All the little bones she throws at us doesn’t change our predicament.
My guess is that she is hoping, praying and waiting for a miracle, just like many of us are.
“My guess is that she is hoping, praying and waiting for a miracle, just like many of us are.”
I don’t thing there is going to be a miracle. Judgement on the other hand . . .
I don’t blame her for not mentioning the idiot liberal. Every time I hear his name, I spit. At least she refrained from doing that at least on TV. I imagine she can’t stand the guy like the rest of us.
It hasn’t gotten much attention but a couple of Mitt’s Michigan ringers were tossed out of their republican national committee seats yesterday. Both voted to change the delegate allocation rules after the Michigan primary tie.
Mitt has problems swirling.

Agreed. It will also be a bummer when she endorses the turd. We have many Good, hard working folks that will rise to the occasion of restoring the Republic . They have yet to show themselves. I pray.
Rather than waiting, perhaps it's high time to get off our collective arses and make the case for a miracle, as the Founding Fathers did.
What Candidate are you suggesting she could have gotten behind?? Not fruitcake Bachmann, No way Santorum, nobody that actually ran was much of anything.
Looking backwards, Perry may have been the best person that actually ran.
For Sure Sarah was my pick, I think she figured it out, people art just to fickle, one minute they love you and the next minute they are against you.
American people are actually stupid, there is not much hope
She sees the country in a desperate time of need. Like so many of us she didn't get her way but rather than sit in a corner and suck her thumb she is out there getting the job done. And no one gets the job of rat extermination done better than Sarah.
I plan to vote for Mitt if he is the nominee, I have the opinion he will do a good job.
Sarah tells it like it is, no pretensions, I love her.
I can only guess...
She may have missed the perfect wave that would have carried her- Perry and the RNC jacked with her timing( plus perhaps some personal quandaries) but an anointing of God doesn’t go away easily. Samson squandered his calling, but was used of God in a mighty way. SP has a front row seat at Tampa- I dare the RNC to silence her at the convention.
She fought a good fight for the best of this nation and did not cower.
Go Sarah! There are many of us who feel as you do about the United States of America.
Yep. Instead Palin just sat on the sidelines and watched as Newt, Rick, etc. split the conservative vote. She watched as Romney took state after state.
Her support would have made a difference. Be she chose not to get in the fray. The irony is that she is now criticizing the fighting instincts of others.
I'm sure I'll take some hits for saying this. But one reason (out of many) why we're stuck with Romney is that Palin did not act when the conservative cause really needed her.
I will now retreat to my bunker.
Any Conservative is better than no Conservative at all.
Ultimately, none of the candidates were the best person. Virtually all of them, especially Willard, had no business running, period.
It’s time to draft Scott Walker of Wisconsin for President.
The other dozen non-Conservatives split the vote.
Pay no mind to the fiasco of a mess he left in Massachusetts.
No she couldn’t, she did everything she could for Newt, gave him pre-primary booster, mini-endorsements, had Todd formally endorse him, and was probably planning the big push after Florida, but Bloody Thursday ended that plan.

Get 'em Sarah!
Nonsense. As a Fox News commentator, Sarah is not allowed to formally endorse anyone. But she made it very clear several times that she backed Newt, and her husband formally endorsed Newt, which was a pretty clear signal.
That gave Newt a temporary lift, but unfortunately he was unable to sustain it. Too much baggage.
The candidate who was doing best against Romney turned out to be Rick Santorum. But the libertarians were successfully put off him by numerous Lamestream lies about what he actually said. Rick still came the closest to derailing Romney, and possibly if Sarah had backed him instead, things would have turned out differently.
But she didn’t. She backed Newt. That turned out to be a mistake, but there’s no use worrying about water over the dam.
I watched the election very closely and her interviews. Occasionally there would be a few with some insight or some nuances that got people excited. Most of the time she played it down the middle, being as coy as possible and not doing much of anything. Just like now. Conservatives are making hay over her not mentioning Romney’s name with GOP nominee.
Usually that’s what it comes down to. What she didn’t say. An inflection in her voice. A particular phrase. And even when she did say something negative about Romney, she’d come out and praise him and then all the candidates.
She could have tipped the scales but chose to avoid the fight, while at the same time throwing bones at the conservatives and the GOPe simultaneously.
“Nonsense. As a Fox News commentator,”
I'll do whatever I can, of course, to get Anyone But Obama elected to the White House"
Me and Sarah are both dealing with colds/flu’s.
Well, in any case, she made it clear that she was behind Newt, and repeated her support several times. But she couldn’t pick him up and carry him over the finish line. He had her support, and FR’s support, but he still couldn’t cut it, and only was getting about half the votes that Rick was.
I’m still hoping for some conservative candidate other than Romney, but it’s hard to see how that’s going to happen at this point.
What would be absolutely rich is for somebody else to be chosen the nominee at the convention after Obama and the DNC have spent so much money and time campaigning against Romney.
What could have been still could be- enough to shape things going forward.
I look forward to writing-in Sarah in the Calif. Rep. Primary.
later
Welcome to FR, but Palin did not play coy in her strong support for Newt Gingrich, she was very clear, and even had Todd do a formal endorsement as she did repeated mini-endorsements at opportune times to maximize the effect for Gingrich.
None of us were in doubt of who Palin supported in the primary.
“Billions of so-called Christians will inhabit that place, alongside pagans, Buddhists, Mussel men, atheists, Zoroastrians, idolaters, sun worshipers and etc. Quit criticizing a good Christian woman for spurious reasons. When you’ve gone through 10% of what she’s had to endure, come back and let me know.”
Great work for everybody involved! High fives all around!
It’s never wise to embrace the cult of personality. I’ve learned, through long and hard experience, that man always fails you. There are no sacred cows. There are no sacred Palins either.
It's been like fraternity rush around here with all the frantic Rombots demanding that we render the blood oath to (whatever his first name is) Romney. I can only surmise that they have been promised (lower level )jobs, maybe assistant to the director or an `ombudsman' of some sort in whatever (blue?) state they live in for their services provided in bullying the rest of us. We're like a herd of cats, aren't we? I continue to maintain that it is in our best interests to keep Mitt (?) guessing. He has in his pocket the lieberal Republicans over at the Weekly Standard, Wall Street Journal and National Review, and, of course, the Blond Disappointment. Of course, those in the middle are shell-shocked and are ready to bail on The Won. So it looks like he has it int he bag, but that still isn't good enough for them. The only pawns he isn't sure about are here and there, and other places, and he knows we aren't sold. Like buying a used car--someone feel free to post the wonderful picture of Used Car Salesman Romney, tooth glinting--you don't walk onto the lot holding out a fist-full of hundreds, and walk over to a particular car and tell a guy like Mitt, "You had me at `Hello'!" As of today I will go into the voting booth not knowing what I will do, and I recommend it to other conservatives as well. For those of you who don't know what I'm talking about, it's called "Let's make a deal." So far all we're hearing from his (vocal) supporters here is, "Just give him a blank check ya schmo, fer cryin' out loud, you know the junker you're driving is no good--trust him, he's GOP, get your a**e** in line. What's wrong with you?!" Nope. Not gonna do it. Wouldn't be prudent. **Express** (that means `written,' for you Romrrhoids) assurances in the party platform would be a good start. `Nuff said. For now. I'm going to go nurse my cluster headache now.
“You won’t be here long enough for me to waste my time explaining all that to you. Had you been here during the 2007-2010 period, you’d have seen all the ups-and-downs we went through and all the shenanigans the press, GOP-e and Vichy conservatives got up to.”
Agree about Perry. I really don’t like to dwell on where we would be right now if he’d been successful in the debates and continued on his ascent. It makes me sick.
As for Sarah, every time she gets asked about Romney SHE looks ill. I think she will put off actually speaking his name until the last possible moment, but of course she’s going to support the eventual nominee.
Nice picture of two losers.
We all work with the light we have. Sarah is not a deity. Her efforts to help us get a conservative presidential candidate were obvious, sincere, and within the scope of the constraints on her activity. Neither you nor I know all those constraints, and I for one appreciate what she tried to do. Newt was, IMHO, our best hope for taking a real chainsaw to the budding socialist tyranny. All the others were half measures at best. No intellectual firepower. But no one could match Romney’s financial firepower, nor his ability to convert that firepower into lie-driven carpet bombing runs against his opponents. This is not something Palin or anyone else could do much about. Our only hope, from a human perspective, was us, and we let us down.
You see, I’ve been a candidate locally. I’ve tried my hand at getting people stirred up to do more than post and pout. We needed people to jump in with both feet. Candidates need money. But everybody is too broke to save the Republic. Candidates need people. But everyone is too busy to make the meetings. Maybe they’ll get around to it next time. Or maybe there wont be a next time. What is lacking is a sense of urgency that matches the dangerous reality in which we now find ourselves.
Just the other day I was talking with the cable guy, trying to see where hes coming in on the political situation. He didnt care one bit for politics, just wanted to live his life and be left alone. He was visibly irritated that I even mentioned the subject. He doesnt realize how his life will change if he doesnt get energized. He doesnt realize that getting involved now could literally save his own life later on.
Freedom is something we all have to fight for. Like Sarah said in Wisconsin, we have to do this together. That quote is on my ringtone. People at work hear it regularly, and they know who she is. More importantly, she knows who she is.
You say you are a Christian, and I am happy to take that at face value. Sarah is also a Christian, and one who has made it clear she seeks Gods wisdom for the things she does, in whatever realm. I am prepared to take that at face value too. I believe she has done what she believes God wanted her to do. She is not so arrogant as to think that our success really depended on her, and she has said as much. She knows this truth, that our success in deposing the Marxist depends entirely on the mercy and aid of God, and on our own willingness to carry our own weight, every one of us, in salvaging what remains of our great country.
“her fame and reputation would have launched her to the White House no sweat.”
I also think Palin would have rallied the conservative base and would have been a good president to get this country back on track from the leftists running us off a cliff.
I’m confused about one thing, though. I saw Newt as having the support of political conservatives, but Santorum having more support with religious, faith based conservatives.
I presumed that Palin would have supported Santorum, and perhaps her political clout may have helped him get the nomination instead of Romney.
If not Palin, at least Santorum or Newt would have been a conservative candidate compared to liberal Romney.
Good For You!
I have different plans.
Palin supported Newt, and like many conservatives, did not seem to trust the remade Santorum.
I dont thing there is going to be a miracle. Judgement on the other hand...
Word.
Palin supported Newt, and like many conservatives, did not seem to trust the remade Santorum.
Shocking news: Santorum was the same guy in 1994 as he is today. He has no need of being “remade”. I still can’t believe how many savvy folks here bought the Romney-manufactured BS about him. Bob
“Agreed. It will also be a bummer when she endorses the turd...”
I don’t believe that she ever will given the treatment she received at the hands of the Romney people working for McCain in the 2008 election and during the period post election. They’re the people she went Rogue on!
Sarah may campaign Against Obama with all her heart, but I doubt she’ll spend Any time campaigning for Romney. Nope none at all.....
“I’m sure I’ll take some hits for saying this. But one reason (out of many) why we’re stuck with Romney is that Palin did not act when the conservative cause really needed her.”
Not to worry, you are doing fine job of self flagellation.
