Gov. Christie: Obama is 'posing and preening,' not resolving issues as president

New Jersey Gov. Chris Christie told Kentucky Republicans on Saturday that President Barack Obama was "posing and preening" instead of working to resolve pressing issues facing the country.

"He is the most ill-prepared person to assume the presidency in my lifetime," Christie told some 600 Kentucky Republicans at a Lexington hotel. "This is a guy who literally is walking around in a dark room trying to find the light switch of leadership."

Christie was in Kentucky to deliver a pep talk to state GOP leaders. The state's presidential primary is Tuesday, though it will have no significant impact. Former Massachusetts Gov. Mitt Romney is the presumptive Republican presidential nominee.

In his remarks, Christie focused entirely on the general election, drawing a standing ovation for his biting remarks about Obama.

"He has sat in the Oval Office and cared more about posing and preening and making partisan politics the rule of the day in Washington D.C. than he's cared about progress," the New Jersey Republican, now in his third year in office, said of Obama.

Senate Republican Leader Mitch McConnell, who invited Christie to Kentucky, called him "the perfect conservative messenger to inspire and energize Kentuckians" to help defeat Obama this fall.

Although Romney is the only GOP hopeful still standing, Newt Gingrich, Rick Santorum and Ron Paul will be on state ballots when Blue Grass State voters go to the polls. …

The Commies are going to call him a racist for that.

Let them - nobody cares about their lies anymore.

Yeah - let them try. I doubt they will. Say what you want about Christie but at least he is willing to say what 99% of the other Republicans won’t say. I’ll give him credit for that and he is indeed useful in that regard

Sort of like Christie himself.

New Jersey, after 3 years of RINO Christie in office is still number 5 from the bottom in friendliness towards businesses. He is still the anti-gun, pro-Muslim Pro-illegal bullying rude behemoth he was when he took office.

Only now he is trying to run for VP.

I admire Christie’s stance on the teacher’s union BS – they need to be eradicated. However, Christie is a limp-wristed nothing when it comes to 2nd Amendment issues. He refuses to take a hard line stance to the right to keep and bear arms. He’s probably scared of Lautenberg. When Christie firmly and staunchly stand up for gun rights (like THAT’LL ever happen) THEN I’ll pay attention to him.

He can't muster the courage to show up over riots in the street in Chicago, but he can call a beer summit within hours of a socialist America hating black professor having a run in with local cops.

He is AWOL during an environmental disaster in the gulf, but quick to tell us that, " if he had a son he would look like Trayvon."

Christie’s battle with the teachers’ unions was critical because without it NJ was fast becoming an unaffordable state for all but out new middle upper class (government workers). He did what nobody else would (from either party), and the resulting layoffs of cops, teachers, and firemen says it all.

He isn’t perfect, and probably has no place on the national stage, but a lot more people would have lost their homes in NJ without his tax cap. Unless you’ve seen your property taxes increase at least $500 annually year after year, I don’t think you can understand what drove a liberal state like NJ to elect Christie.

So far, I have seen NOTHING - NADA - from his “reforms”. My taxes are still going up and NOW I don’t even have the satisfaction of voting DOWN a school budget.

Christie is all hot air. An anti-Second Amendment, pro-Muslim, pro-illegal alien RINO buffoon on the make for another job - the vice Presidency.

AND, if he doesn’t get THAT, he will be on the make for the AG office in a Romney cabinet. GREAT. A pro-Muslim anti-gun, pro-illegal alien buffoon in the AG’s office.

Of course he’s “posing and preening”. That’s all he’s ever had to do, and everyone has always told him he does it so well he’s honestly convinced that it’s all ever he needs to do.

Why this is surprising to anyone is beyond me.

When I see that fatuous “look at how COOL I am” expression on his face, I am always reminded of a two year old who just made poo-poo in the kiddie lou and who is being praised by adults for his stunning achievement.

Someone needs to tell him to zip his pants, blow his nose, and SIT DOWN.

Great line!

 Obama set his sights high,

 But the People unfazed,
 A Tea Party we raised.
And 2012 for Obama will be bye-bye.

Let’s put an end to Romney’s wonderful-sounding lies, and work to DUMP ROMNEY. Romney has been telling lies that con us into believing that “Change” is coming.

There will be little change. Romney will be Obamalite. For example, Romney says that he will “get rid of” Obama”care” by sending it in 50 pieces to our already bankrupt 50 States. That will just increase the financial, and regulation impact of Obama”care.”

My reasoning for the DUMP ROMNEY Campaign is as follows:

DUMP ROMNEY and replace him with a stellar Dark Horse Republican Presidential Nominee.

IF Romney is probably going to lose to Obama, THEN it is incumbent upon the RNC to intervene and declare an OPEN Convention, regardless of the Primary delegates that Romney has.

Continued accumulation of Primary delegates in the remaining State Primaries is the key to improving Paul’s chances of forcing the GOP-E to hold an OPEN Convention in Tampa.

Paul will then have completed his main task in this Primary: giving the delegates the freedom to DUMP ROMNEY!

My goal is to defeat the insanity of Keyensian Economics in “both” of our very sorry political parties THIS YEAR!

This can be accomplished by the Delegates choosing a stellar Dark Horse Nominee, such as R-Rep. Allen West of Florida, to slaughter Obama in a November Landslide.

It is not enough to beat Obama, he must be smashed in a huge landslide to repudiate his Marxist ideas for America!

Romney is not Warrior enough to do so.

The key is to FORCE the GOP-E to allow for an OPEN Convention in Tampa. Without an OPEN Convention the SOS of INSANE Federal Over-Spending will keep America on the same crowded track with Greece, and Kalifornia.

There are over 15, 000, 000, 000, 000 reasons why spending more money this year than was taken in during the previous year is an INSANE path to financial destruction.

Neither Obama or Romney have presented a plan to spend our Federal dollars in a non-insane manner.

For example, the GOP Elite have stood in line to endorse Romney, to endorse “The Ryan Budget,” and to compromise-away every opportunity to reduce Federal Spending.

I included the Ryan Budget, because Rep. Paul Ryan himself says that his “Budget” will balance in 30 YEARS !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

BTW, I added those exclamation points, because both you and I know that Ryan’s budget will NEVER balance, and thus will never be a fact. The exclamation points are just for volume emphasis.

______________________

The main point of my post is as follows: In order to DUMP ROMNEY there must be an OPEN, or “Bartered” Convention.

Ron Paul, Santorum and Newt are our best hopes to achieve an OPEN Convention because they have the most Delegates to force the Romney Delegates to approve of an OPEN Convention.

Since RP is the only active Candidate left standing, he has the best chance of forcing the RNC to have an OPEN Convention in Tampa.

With an OPEN Convention, NONE of the Primary Candidates stand a chance of becoming the Nominee, except Romney.

That possibility must be countered by a stellar Dark Horse, that is someone that has not run in this years Primary Campaign.

Otherwise Romney will follow the same stupid path as McCain and lose to Obama “much to the surprise of the GOP-E.”

Ron Paul, Santorum and Newt were rejected by Primary voters, and would be re-soundly rejected by the voters in the National Election. Thus, their main value is to force an OPEN Convention.

The Convention Delegates then would have a chance to choose a Nominee who could easily defeat Obama.

I had earlier supported R-Sc Sen. Jim DeMint, but he will not leave the Senate. Now I support R-Fla. Rep. Allen West. Rep. Allen West is a retired US Army Colonel, straight-talking Conservative, AND is the only non-welcome member of the Congressional Black Caucus, (the Libs hate him).

There are many other Republican non-RINO Dark Horses who would make excellent Dark Horse Nominees.

The DUMP ROMNEY Campaign requires an OPEN or “Bartered” Convention in Tampa.

Make your voice and vote count towards an OPEN Convention in Tampa, Florida!

BTW, Nominee Allen West WOULD be Florida’s favorite son in November - - - .

Your property taxes can’t go up over 2%; that is why when teachers still got 4% raises cops lost their jobs. The municipal job cuts were all over the news; they are very real.

Christie wouldn’t be the VP pick because as another FReeper observed years ago about Rudy Giuliani, he is the solution to problems that most states don’t have. As a prosecutor in NJ Christie did a great job cleaning things up.

Wow...switch to decaf

You do understand that a brokered convention will just about guaranteed to put the usurper in office for the next years

Yeah, Romney sucks and is not the guy I was hoping for but he actually is competent and does not hate our country

Sad we are stuck with such a pathetic choice of candidates but let's put the final nail in the coffin by electing Obama again / S

IF we behave as RINO Sheep and Cave-In to whoever the RINOs endorse, then we Conservatives are no better than our RINO U.S. Representatives and Senators that we say we don’t like.

This election is for ALL of the marbles! We cannot afford to play the old RINO game that caused the defeat of McCain to Marxist Obama in 2008.

Obama is much stronger politically than he was against McCain, but the RINO Party refuses to consider that reality.

It is time to DUMP ROMNEY who is to weak of a candidate to beat Obama.

The Delegates need to choose in an OPEN Convention a strong NON-RINO Nominee who can soundly defeat Obama, and coat-tail U.S. Senators and Representatives into Congress.

Romney is not that man: DUMP ROMNEY!

We must learn from the mistakes made by the McCain Campaign and rub the collective noses of the RINOs in it!

Romney is counting on the old Classical Conservative Cave-In.

I can hear Romney now: “You have no choice but to vote for me. I’ll be even more severely Conservative than I was when I rammed through Romney”care.” Trust me, I know how The Economy works. Etc, etc., etc.”

The battle to win back a CONSERVATIVE White House is starting to break wide open!
